I have been saying since the end of January that we were in relegation trouble and would more than likely go down. Call me perverse but given that we are still within striking distance of both Burnley and Everton we may still pull it out of the fire. This, even though we historically save our worst performances for both Brighton and Brentford. That said there is something I need explaining. Its quite a few years since I obtained my FA coaching badges so I am clearly out of touch with modern methods. So can anybody explain the new strategy of playing four centre backs across the back line, playing your most penetrating attacker at wing back and a winger with a bit of pace, up front through the middle, when he doesn't like it, can't do it, can't hold the ball up and doesn't know his way around the six yard box? . In my day if you had a pacy winger you would play them out wide not as a number 9 or a wing back. It show how quickly you can lose touch with modern methods. It would be great if this approach got us the six points.

Spot on Hess, it's a case of accomodating the big spends I'm afraid. Joffy up front, with Rodrigo just behind then our best wingers prob raph and harrison, bring james on as a replacement, put the shapes in their correct place, a triangle may squeeze into a square, but tgere will be no symmetry. Simples.

Its called not having enough decent players in the squad to cover the positions. i. e. terrible recruitment for YEARS.

13 May 2022 21:21:53
Can you be too loyal? Think myself and some others may be exactly that. Looking at last three years recruitment and apart from Raph none really have hit the heights. The keeper has potential but for me the jury is still out even considering his young age.
Others like Rodrigo Diego Koch James Firpo and even Harrison show little and in some cases no consistency.
All these players cost big money at time of purchase.
So apart from Raph and Bamford all other signings have disappointed.
The much maligned Cooper has shown how badly he was missed when injured and Alioski has also been missed despite some short comings.
We need something from weekend game and everyone needs to up their game. I believe we will but that’s probably more because of my blind loyalty!

Almost a good post from Corky, a more realistic one.

The Chelski match peeved mee off big time and again reiterated to me that I no longer trust the integrity this current group of players that for me actually want R for Leeds as it suits them

It suits want away players Raphinha, KP, Meslier, Rodrigo, Llorente, Bamford and possibly Koch

More contentiously it also perhaps suits those Championship type players who would have been moved on next season if LUFC were still in EPL.

Baz
So you are obviously doubting the integrity of certain players?
Can you give an opinion on why Pat was so upset when injured once more against wolves? Was it crocodile tears or was he genuinely upset that his stock would fall after a season of injuries?

Baz
You’re the sort that if Leeds were top 6 all season this year and fell away to 8th last minute you would still bitch. It’s just your nature.

13 May 2022 23:53:33
Corky 8th? if only . I would have been delighted .

Sorry Baz but I don’t agree with that theory, injuries and extreme bad management has seen the demise of this team for this season. There’s been a couple of bad purchases as in Firpo and Rodrigo who are definitely not made up for the Premiership.

I still think Llorente, Koch and James are Prem players but have been disrupted by injuries then lack of confidence as the team have tumbling down throughout this season.

Meslier is a great shot stopper but needs to work a lot on his distribution, he is so young that It would wrong to judge him now, patience is required, he has saved us more points than losing them.
Raphinha is a fantastic talent but totally inaffective in team that doesn’t function well.

You Baz and many others said that Radz should have brought in more signings last summer, this was the gamble, the mismanagement that has seen half a team of fading Championship players and a bunch of crocked new signings spiral into a dysfunctional confidence lacking team taking a one way ticket back to the Championship.

The mismanagement doesn’t end there, sacking Bielsa in my mind was accepting Championship football for next season.
I simply can not judge Marsch yet, he has been given an impossible job to keep Leeds in the Prem. I’m sure he accepted the job knowing there was a very good chance he would be a Championship manager next season.

With every atom in my body I am willing our team to survive and continue in the Prem, but what happens next will be anyones guess!?
If we go down then the journey begins again and we will be the biggest scalp in the league yet again for your Millwall’s Preston’s.
We are Leeds.

OP yes extreme mismanagement by and negligence firstly Radz and co, then injuries
But the players have been definitely culpable too all season.

KP stated just a week ago that he only wants to be Leeds. That shows integrity, as well as loyalty, to me. He may go, but it won’t be because he has pushed for it. He will be at Wet Sham, or Real Madrid next season. Ancelotti likes him a lot.
