Maybe Jesse is just a bit fed up of all this Bielsa soap boxing from every angle.
I’m certainly not taking anything away from Marcelo, what he’s done for our club on every level is amazing.
However it is quite plain to see that this year the lads have struggled physically.
Some of these lads have been in that training regime for 3+ years and although last season we did look fitter and stronger than most, this season it does look to have taken its toll.
It’s not necessarily a criticism of Bielsa, more an observation on what he’s found since joining the club.
Let’s not forget he sees what we don’t and he has spoken to all the players and whose to say they haven’t told him they felt knackered and over trained?
He’s simply given his assessment of what he’s found.
And I’m pretty certain the way things were going, if we hadn’t made a change then I’d doubt we would have taken 10pms from the last 12!
Bielsa has left the building, let’s not forget the great things he has done for us BUT let’s also move forward and get behind the new boss and the lads going forward and stop this constant comparison to Marcelo.
I for 1 am super excited for us to hopefully stay up and what this summer transfer window has to hold for us.
