On BBC West Midlands news, that Birmingham are to have 9 point deduction.
What a shame should be more.

Typical cheating Brummies.

Tory, where is the news about Radz 760 million fraud who is it suing him.

I'd love the "transparent" FL to publish their reasoning behind their decision to only dock them 9 points. There's been a quite blatant breaking of the rules, and they somehow managed to sign a player whilst (supposedly) under a transfer embargo. Further, if a club goes into administration they're docked 15 points and fined, even though they obviously have no money so how does a club that throws money about willy-nilly not get a fine?

I don't know the full in's and out's of the points deduction and do not feel sorry for Birmingham but you have to slate the hypocrisy of the FL for punishing Birmingham for signing a player in embargo as the FL have to ratify the paperwork to allow the signing.

Notts, They received no punishment for signing players. The deduction is for finacal misconduct. They were told they could not sign any player's, which they choose to ignore. The corrupt EFL, have said no punishment is needed for ignoring thier instruction not to sign player's. Hope all thier VAT payment's are in order!

The transfer still had to be authorised by the FL. What's the point in informing them when they could have easily not approved the transfer.

Sheriff Do the rules permit the FL to enforce against a club's attempt to sign a player whilst in embargo? If yes, I agree with you. If not, they seemingly have to allow the transfer in order to punish the club. Otherwise the defense will be but we didn't actually sign anyone so there's no breach of rules.

Thank you George.

I have no sympathy for Birmingham but it doesn't sit right with me. They had the authority to stop the transfer but decided not to do so in order to punish the mistake.

23 Mar 2019 02:41:21
George, a club can sign whoever they want BUT he has to be registered with the FL, so if the club's under embargo then the registration should be refused.

23 Mar 2019 16:58:20
They have not been punished for signing a player, no action taken.

23 Mar 2019 20:04:28
Splitting hairs AGM. Financial troubles due to Redknapp's spending spree with ridiculous wages. It is not down to one signing but it was probably the straw that broke the camel's back.

23 Mar 2019 21:33:08
Not splitting hairs at all, stating a fact. Read what the Efl statement on the point's deduction say's.
