Good article in the Times this morning by Gregor Robertson kind of sums everything up including how we "neurotic " Leeds fans feel about Bielsa and automatic promotion . But this paragraph about the Blunts recent form is pretty telling and hard to disagree with no matter how functional their style of play :

" United have won as many games as Leeds, scored more goals and conceded fewer. From their past five away games they have returned unbeaten, with nine points, from Carrow Road, Villa Park, The Hawthorns, Hillsborough and Elland Road. In all, it is ten without defeat and more than ten hours without conceding a goal. They are above Leeds on merit and may take some moving. "

At the moment Norwich are looking like last year's Wolves and the blunts last year's functional flairless Cardiff . But if we can become more clinical in the final third we can still split them and avoid the play offs!

Both have been fortunate with injuries, unlike ourselves.

Which is all the more frustrating as we had the opportunity to bolster the numbers in January to cover potential injuries. I appreciate that this is old ground and there is nothing we can do about it now but even before Bielsa's training regime we had a squad of players that struggle to give a full season as they do pick up injuries i. e. Jannson, Cooper, Ayling, Roofe, Forshaw. We even brought in Brown who was injured when signed on loan. Yes, we have been unlucky with injuries coinciding but historically we have always had these injury prone players and probably should have factored this into our squad plans.

I am glad we didn't BOLSTER our squad in January

Clarke
Shackleton
Halme
Roberts
Have all got valuable game time

Many U23s have found bench time

Aloiski has found his best position of left wing back

Why do I want to support players who are using Leeds as a 6 month loan stint in order to get fit for their parent club?

Of course we could have actually bought an out field player Axe!

18 Mar 2019 14:54:00
I agree Axe, if we bought players in during January we wouldn’t be enjoying the performances of the young players now! If we had won on Saturday no one would be moaning now about lack of players bought in January. It is what it is now and we just have to get behind the players we have and let them give their all til the end of the season. I’m still positive MOT.

You are kidding yourself Axe with the actually minutes on the pitch these players have actually played. I think Bielsa is great, but when push comes to shove he will revert to Dallas as his go to player. I think we could have done better with another signing or giving Shackleton more playing time.

Nottswhite 100% agreed we need two signing at least one being an striker, who can put the ball in the net not just hit the post or bar, that are down fall, plus injuries we have,
