Thinking long term here.
With Bielsas track record I am beginning to feel a bit nervous about the future. There appears to be no commitment from him to stay but I think everyone will agree, that for us to progress, we need continuity. I also believe that at his age he should be looking to build a dynasty to be proud of. That route seems to be happening at the moment with all the young bucks firing away at the top of their league but we need the Captain to stay on and steer the vessel through dangerous waters. My fear is that no positive noises are coming out of Elland Road at the moment which worries me. Just as a precaution I would implore the board to find a Bielsa clone. A Bielsa Mark2 who can take the reins with little, if any, disruption in case the worse scenario happens. The alternative and obvious first choice is to nail down the man who has brought joy back to Elland Road. With one season under his belt his team will be a much stronger proposition next year and to the management, do not do a Wenger. In every close season he could make a long list of all the quality players that he nearly got! If Marcelo wants him, unless its silly money, go get him. Don't hide behind minutiae. Trust the man.

Leo.
The thing that worries me more, is that if we don't go up this season, will this group of players have the will/ desire/ fitness to play the Bielsa way next season (in the championship) . I've no doubt they would in the Premier league because he'd only keep players who he thought good enough and hopefully buy better ones than the players that unfortunately will be deemed not good enough for the top flight.

leodis, great post but sorry to say where is the money coming from we couldn’t find it in January, MB will hopefully stay and build on what he has,

Hopefully the experience and knowledge gained in this season will stand him in good stead to identify targets that will enhance our tilt next season. The likes of James, O'Dowda, Freeman etc and, without being silly, the financial backing of Radz. Failing the cash being forthcoming with preseason and early games we have the ability to blood some of the U23s who maybe cannot be thrown into the pressure cooker environment of a promotion charge.

Think James is now out of our price range.

New wealthy Owners might want to get involved if we go up, the potential in Leeds is sky high. Not sure if Radz has the dough for the big time, but we have to get there first.
