Every team's cup final because everyone wants to beat dirty leeds really annoys me. Little nice Norwich come to town. Just a normal game. We turn up'every team gives it that extra ten percent. There cup final. And looking at the game after they play us. Most of the time they lose. There knackered from the effort and intensity used playing us. Surprise suprise, Bristol city have announced Saturday is there biggest gate of the season.
Got a feeling they'll be up for this one. And for the ones among us that like a flutter. Have a quid on them losing there next match. Were not famous anymore. MOT.

We have always been the team everybody loves to beat, our players have to be able to cope with it or they might as well not be here. I hope on Saturday we can stuff it up their Owner who wanted us to have a points deduction.

personally I would expand on LUFCfeath's point and say that for years we have bought in players who could NOT cope with the specific expectations that come with being a Leeds player
I can remember back to Keith Edwards. Brilliant goalscorer. kncocked them in for fun. But put the white shirt on and he shrunk
Later on we had David Healy. Northern Ireland cult hero. Was distinctly average for us
Luke Murphy is a more recent example. Well thought of, but shrank in a white shirt
Yet, Baird, Becchio and Gradelcome without big fanfares but excellent work ethics and for me are heroes of their age.

Great post Axe. Too many have not measured up in recent years because as you say the pressure is large. Going back the likes of Baird Sheridan Aspin Rennie Snodin Adams Pearson and even Sellars were good and mentally tough enough but for one reason or another it never worked out. Until now.

To be a Leeds fan is to be a person that everyone wants to beat. We are in for the love not the glory. Glory is a lovely bonus but I love it that they hate us so much and still can't keep us down. Their anger is our pleasure and they can keep it.
