Question for Spanish Bige or anyone else in the know. Can you name the best three young players who have the best chance of making the grade at ER. I've read good things about numerous youngsters but as we all know most of them move on as not quite good enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cork Do you mean only those youngsters who haven't yet made it to the matchday 18 first-team?

Well the likes of Odour have had game time. Stephens and others haven’t. Them lads I’m thinking about really.

Cork, it’s a tough question, well qualified by George. Hard because so many have already had done first team squad exposure this year, like Aaapo, Jordan Stevens and Robbie Gotts. It also depends so much on what league we are in. I’ll go for three that I really like, who I hope will make it somewhere, Clarke Oduor, Alfie Mcalmont and Bryce Hosannah. Clarke can and has played in many positions but I like him on the left wing, Bryce on the right and Alfie, industrious and creative in the centre. If we are still in the Championship next year, they could play a strong supportive role, if we go up perhaps a year dominating the under 23s. It’s very difficult to predict who will get the chance to move up at this level, not just about ability but also whether an opportunity comes up.

Spanish, as the respected expert on the U23s, I'm just wondering whether you have heard any whispers of when we might first see the young Pole, Bogusz. Clearly priority with the development games currently is to give the returning first teamers necessary minutes to step up their fitness, but I'm guessing you're as keen as I am (and presumably many others on here) to see whether he is as good as the YouTube highlights would suggest he could be.

Guys, thanks for the comments about the under 23 posts. I’m no expert and I’m sure there are posters on here like BIGE, I think, who have been going to under 23 games a lot longer than me. I’m just lucky that I’m here this year and I have lots of free time, to go and watch and post. I started to post because I was so impressed by the teams I saw, the coaching set up and the way the under 23s links into the first team. I really enjoy going to the games and would recommend them.

Bogusz is only 17, I don’t think he has appeared in any under 23 squads yet. Under 18 info is a bit harder to track down, but doesn’t seem to have appeared there yet. Corberan has been trying a few different faces in the attacking midfield role and Izzy Brown has been the priority there and Mcalmont has been a regular. Perhaps when Izzy makes the move, Bogusz will start to make the squads. There is a game today and then two more within a week, so perhaps the squad will be varied a bit.

Today 1pm Elland Road assuming no change in venue.

Give Bogusz at least 12 months to settle in

There’s a clear plan now

Putting them in too early ( like a certain young tall dutch lad ) probably does them more harm.

Soz lads been working since Friday just got home. If we are talking of players who could step up next season Gotts, Stevens Edmondson and Odour look the part. McAlmont, KunT, Huffer, Kamwa and Diaz could all be big players over the next five years and a couple of young lads in Haugland, Hudson and Kennah look to have potential. Future looks all white.
