I've now decided, after yesterdays defeat, that all my lucky charms no longer work, so have got rid of the lot.

My lucky replica centenary FA Cup final Allan Clarke shirt, I've taken to the charity shop.

My lucky horseshoe I've nailed back on the horse. The milkman is pleased.

My lucky 4 leaf clover is on the compost heap along with the lucky heather.

The lucky fluffy dice are in the bin.

I've taken Whitey, the lucky black cat, to the vets. It had to be done, although the wife wasn't very happy, but the urn they put the ashes in looks good on the mantelpiece.

I've had my lucky number 7 tattoo lasered off my arm.

My lucky rabbit's foot I've grafted back onto Limpy.

And finally I've taken the tape off the crossed fingers on my left hand. I can now get both of my gloves on, which is great with all this cold weather about.

Hope this all works as obviously one of them was causing all our run of bad luck.

Oh, nearly forgot. I've also stopped kissing the chimney sweep But that's another story!

{Ed025's Note - great stuff tewitlander..

It's only a game Tewit and should not break apart true love. Find your sweep and hope he forgives you. After all wives are ten a penny but but a good sweep is hard to find.

Tewit

That made me laugh mainly because I do have what I call my lucky ring that I only bring out when Leeds are in trouble. It dates back to 1974, 9th March to be exact and a home game v Man City. I'm sure it helped get us a 1-0 win thanks to a Lorimer pen infront of 36k. We hit the top of the league after the 3rd game and stayed there all season to finish as Champions and the biggest home attendance was 47,182 for a 5th round tie against Bristol City which we lost. Ah well that's my trip down memory lane done.

Sheds. Was that Bristol replay game the one played in the afternoon because of some strike, and they were not allowed to use the floodlights?

Tewit

You could well be right. I don't recall going to that game but there were definitely power cuts in 1974 thanks to Ted Heath and his mob.

Great posts tewit and 2 sheds. The magic of football. 2 sheds, get that lucky ring out and polish it up!

Regarding the ring business, can I just take this opportunity to remind you all that if you spot an old man furiously kissing his ring in the Kop do not alert a steward or call for the police, it's me and Leeds are obviously losing :-)

What charity shop t ewit Allan Clarke my all time favourite player could do with his like now.

Sheds.

If anybody spots you kissing your ring on the Kop that will be a definite points reduction. 😘👮‍♂️👮‍♂️.

Oh Boston, how much do reckon Allan Clarke would be worth now?
