Just been lurking on the QPR rumours site to see what is being said ahead of the weekends match. Omg, the amount of posts the ed's have to edit is immense. Don't know how they cope with the traffic, Pontus Janson's magic hats off to you top guys Ed's!

{Ed007's Note - We've got a QPR site?}

Hi coolest Ed, aka secret service ed007. Yes, I found it on the grey 'link to other rumour sites' at the top of the page. A bit of free advertising there. Any more cross selling that I do I will be wanting to negotiate a fee!

Monkey magic refuses to give an update on his contract stating it would be 'selfish' to talk about himself at this stage of the season. I think he's a bit of a scoundrel not to talk about it myself, we all want to know don't we?

I think he will hold all the cards alf, he will want assurances that he can bring top quality players and not cast offs before he signs. I do get the feeling he's very passionate about Leeds so let's hope AR and MC don't do anything silly 😋

Agree2 Disagree0

09 Mar 2017 21:14:38
Let's hope so Martyn. Hasn't AR already said he would like to keep GM? If the worst comes to the worst and monkey does not stay we are in a better position to get a good quality manager. Others will see our potential and be knocking on the door if needs be.

Scoundrel! Like it! 😜

09 Mar 2017 22:53:19
Thats the down side to short contracts Monk can ask for more money and cash assurances.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2017 00:11:29
personally think managers contracts are even more useless than player at least with player club can dictate a fee. i hope he stays but even if we sign him to 100 year deal he is still free to leave for bigger club with them footing minimum compensation.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2017 10:04:37
Think if Monk wants to stay and club want him to every thing fine. Be stupid to negotiate contract now not knowing which league we will be in. Any way as BW stated he could haave a long contract and if a big club wanted him they would just pay it up.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Mar 2017 13:15:21
i don't get why players contracts and managers are different, how can a club put a 'fiction' fee on a player yet managers is just a buy out of contract? might be some employment law or reason but seems odd, if both player or manager are under contract then the same should apply. given how managers are more important than players on a whole they should have a transfer fee. is so monk is worth at least 20m

Glad to see another 30,000 plus crowd on Saturday shouldn't drop below that now for the remaining home games let's hope the new owner realises what he's got his hands on and his ambition matches our support.

Another true legend confirms his retirement today. we are fast loosing legends in the game. Always thought alonso was a wonderful player and exactly the kind of player any team needs.

you sure, personally think he was overrated jody morris, niel killkenny, thomas brolin seth johnson salmon obleme all far better. if he was that good how comes he never played for leeds?

Bermo, as always you have proved me wrong again! I forgot all about Kilkenny. now he was a true lengend! I bow down to your superior knowledge! 🙌

10 Mar 2017 13:21:05
well i didn't want to say it but. duur. Killkenny one of my all time most hated players along with vardy and stephen never passed to a leeds player ever crainey. my mates still refer to killkenny as the see you next tuesday word due to a post match interview i gave as my right wing alias Michaeldinio in the my teams end of season review as he was protugeuse and his name translated meant that. last week on FB some one refered to trump as a massive killkenny which really made me laugh

Going back to stadiums Went to the bernabeu last year. that had amazing feel inside, even when empty, almost like a cathedral. I think we our fantastic support and the atmosphere in ER something like the Westfalen stadium would suit us. close to the pitch but high and very imposing

Team for Sat: Green Ayling Bartley Pontus Taylor Viera Bridcutt Roofe Pablo Ped Wood Took this off another site but looks a strong attack minded team to me. Up the Whites, down the pints! MM

Should score a shed full with that line up. Seems a shame that Berardi will miss out in his favoured RB position as he had a storming game darn sarf by all accounts. Shows that for the first season in donkeys years that we have excellent cover in our defence when you can bring back an even better player in Ayling. I suspect that Monk may give Taylor a rest as he's only just started to train again and had a tough game in midweek.

09 Mar 2017 18:40:06
Lucas. I think he will rest Taylor as well. Can't see him not starting with Berardi

09 Mar 2017 18:42:17
A better idea. Rest Ayling. Then he can't get his 10th booking

09 Mar 2017 19:03:41
Not a bad shout to rest ayling oh fast one to avoid a booking. Also he'll need catch up on his sleep after the arrival of his bambino on Tuesday.

Exactly Lucas. A ready made excuse for Monkey man

10 Mar 2017 00:18:35
i agree, harsh to drop berardi. he was great on tuesday but if he plays on left i might shoot monk myself. i'm not too worryied about suspentions as beridi can cover for aling very well and aling cover for pontus very well just if both go same time cooper comes in and i have backed him but been poor recently. also what is this rubbish about needing rest due to new born. I am sitting up feeding baby and changing nappies as we speak won't stop me playing next tuesday for 60 minutes in goal. some people have no staminina

so is my little girl a machine full of poop. I like briduct last year he was 'our savoiur' a must sign and all that and i still think he is very good however i would go with aus and play o'kane. interesting when we hit our best form and played best football bridcut wasnt in team. i'm on the bench with okane what i have seen has been solid with no mistakes yet nothing special however DJ knows his football and seen a lot more of leed this year and really rates him and i'm inclined to back Dj's opinion

OK. Serious question. Unusual for me I know. If I want to make a last minute decision to go to the match on Saturday what's the situation with just turning up before the match and buying a ticket. As in where are they sold now on the day and how long might I have to queue? Only ever collected them in advance. Thanks for any sensible responses

Believable0 Unbelievable0

09 Mar 2017 18:05:27
I think you have to buy them online and then pick them up at the ground, not sure if tickets can be bought at the ground on matchdays. Best make your mind up by tomorrow night :)

09 Mar 2017 18:27:02
Hello fast one. Can't buy on the day, telephone up or go on the information super highway and collect on the day from the ticket office. It's been about 35 years since I, or should I say my Dad, bought a ticket on the day. A cold winter night, early rounds of the FA Cup Vs Villa. Think we lost 2-0.

Speedy, tickets increase by £5 on match day, so book in advance if possible. MOT

09 Mar 2017 21:00:02
If you book online you will get a single easy enough then collect from the ticket office near the east stand. That's what I usually do as I don't normally know if I can make it until the day due to work.

Talking about new stadiums, wasn't a new one going to be built at Stourton during the Ridsdale era? Also does anybody remember at that time a formula one type car in Leeds colours being pushed onto the field before a night match, (it may have been eufa cup) . I think we were planning to join a new car racing championship involving top European football clubs, or have I made that up.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - oh I remember that racing league thing. It was a complete flop.}

09 Mar 2017 16:01:42
Anyone else used to go to the dogs further up Elland road ? Don't worry if you don't understand that. It just means you are under 60 and/or don't live in Leeds

09 Mar 2017 16:37:12
Speedy, I used to go to the dog track before the match when I was just a young slip of a lad with my Dad. Great memories. Total man's day out. Park up - watch dog racing - go to pub - watch match. MM

Adding on to below post by me I think we will be in play offs. I think we will make final But to win that final we have to start the game as if we are 1-0 down and go hard When we attack. We are great. We just need more of it.

So we all seem to agree that we have solid back 5! We also now have ped, hern and wood as starters. that's 8. The other three spots are shared between Sacko, Dallas, Barrow, Bridcutt, Vierra, Okane, Phillips. I like vierra so think he should be in. But we are lacking a mccallister or a sheridan type. Ok to play def midfielder if we also got playmaker. But we aint. So always to defensive.

Hi guys, love my London away days, have to say had a fab time, meeting bermo again at a leeds away game this time was superb he is a real laugh and a great guy, looking forward to a victory next time bermo! The game itself was so intense I had palpitations waiting for the final whistle before they scored, was a real sickener, but I was so Proud to be a leeds fan, Proud of our immense loyal superb following on a warmer night on a Tuesday in London, Proud of our Battling determined thou shalt not pass me beradi defensive performance, by the way if our attacking display matched the defensive we will be playing Real Madrid in the flesh instead of fifa 2017, beradi was even more super charged on his obvious more natural right sided position, my motm was barts who is so calm and classy defo prem class, I was impressed with the old timer Parker for them who ran the show and absolutely bossed it, our guys in the midfield could do with watching a re run of his performance and gleaning from it, crainey who equalised with what turned out to be the last kick of the game also stood out for them and i agree with bermo Ped was impressive with his shift and he left the pitch absolutely Spent, if only he'd have buried his chance, still I really like him and he is only still 20! Anyway people won't bore you any more I will sign off a very proud leeds fan till I leave the planet myself, and look forward to Saturday and 3 points against the Rs and to catch up with my leeds family again in the peacock! MOT brothers

yes DJ was special to be a part of and great to meet up with yourself again and looking forward to the next one. great comment about being as good going forward as working back we certainly would be a top 6 prem team without a doubt. green was my motm but only as i love keepers barts was prem quality all day long and beridi was fantastic, if we lose ponts on ban with aling in middle and beridi on right we will still be good at the back. great thing about this site is chance for someone like myself to talk with other fans and chance to meet a top bloke like DJ and enjoy a game with great company and leeds fans and not be stuck next to millwall idiots
