Listened to the game last night now just watched the highlights and bloody hell we have a world class keeper.

Not quite cc. Shot stopping as good as you'll find. Nullifying threat of crosses we have ourselves only a notch higher than Count Dracula himself. With the right training and practice he could be Italy number 1 couple of years. Get him on long-term contract fo sure.

He was exceptional on Tuesday night. His kicking is still dodgy and I don't think that's going to improve. He's had two seasons to improve this now and it ain't happening. We know his weakness, so the training staff obviously do. This in mind they would be practicing day in day out, but it ain't improving. His catching was great on Tuesday. I could see him shouting at defenders and organising his back 4, something I don't see too often. We played no better on Tuesday than we did at Brighton. The difference being we didn't have a silly 20 mins where we imploded. Even down to 10 men they pressed, but we played the counter well. Be interesting to see how we go with a full strength team.

Rumour has it that MC is looking to bring in Nigel Pearson at the end of the season? or before as long as we are safe from relegation. He would do me as I am fed up hearing me, me and me from friar tuck evans!

Pearson is a good manager and he would be a forward step and improvement on Evans but Evans does deserve another season on his showing so far. He has improved results, the quality of the playing squad and is tactically aware. Furthermore, don't think the players want yet another change. Keep the Fat Man.

hard one to call isn't it? I think SE has done okay and improved us but some results have been poor. overall I am a fan of the pie eater, this said Pearson is a great manager with great record. I think it is one of them that you will never know unless you can do both and have a time machine (just incase any leeds fans have one in back garden) . either way I am happy and think we are slowly on the up which is good I guess. obviously I want hock back but sadly that ship has sailed.

If you were in pearsons shoes would you work under cellino? I suspect he would decline any approach.

I think a lot of higher calibre managers may draw a line at MC

Statements like " managers are like watermelons. " haven't helped his cause.

P/ Una - you may well be right, however Pearson has been out of work since May ish, if he doesn't get back in the saddle soon he'll be forgotten about. So Cellino maybe as mad as a hatter, however Pearson is a big character and may be willing to put the odd horses head in Cellino's bed if required.

come on let's be real all this would a manager work etc talk is bit silly in my opinion. Yes a manager in a better job would not come to leeds, or even one just out of a job who is in a position to get a better job wouldn't (moyes for example) but any manager out of work who has not been in work for a while is not looking at top job would come to leeds. it is win win for any manager come to leeds get us up or do well enough to keep job win. get sacked by crazy MC get a big pay out for losing job and rep still in tac as MC is crazy. I really don't see this what manager would come to leeds etc talk stands up in all honesty. same could be said at chealsea and city they like to sack managers and roman is as bad as mc, ok chealsea are bigger with more money but they also get better managers so by same logic if chealsea can get mourino twice, hiddink and conte then leeds can get pearson should he be approached.

great result last night, I wonder if this means the team are finally understanding what SE wants an have started carrying it out or if this is just a fluke.

would be nice to go on a bit of a run between now and the end of the season - finish strongly, persuade a few of the better players to stay and provide a decent platform for pushing on next season. we are definitely due a good run, we haven't had one since Larry left.

I believe it was more Evans got his tactics spot on. He obviously analyzed the Bluebirds and decided to setup with no wingers which troubled Cardiff because it narrowed the play allowing us to break through the middle so long as we defended well. Helps when you got someone in goal like Silvestre. Strangely, if we beat Blackburn, the season comes back alive as the form of the Wendies has dipped.

George I admire your optimism, but I fear you may be getting a visit from the men in white coats. 😲
The average points total in the last 10 seasons for the team finishing sixth is just above 73. We can only get 77 if we win every game.
Surely even the most optimistic of us know the play offs are out of the question this season. Don't we?

Danum
The white coat men visited me many years ago and they told me there was nothing they could do.
While it's mathematically possible optimism must be retained. The prospect next season competing with Villa Bar Codes and Canaries on their parachute money doesn't fill me with joy.

Good to see Anty hitting a bit of form with a few well taken goals. He seems to be the natural finisher of the team whereas Doukara is more the workhorse. Reminds me a bit of Clarke and Jones. If they are scoring and playing well do we need to drop one for Wood on Sat?

They remind you of Clarke and Jones?
Next you'll be telling us that the goalie is Nigel's double because he had a decent game.
You're in cloud cuckoo land, Leodis, but I suppose you are just looking for some positives like the rest of us.

I was thinking more Hale and Pace 😂😂 . Seriously though they both put a shift in as did the rest of the team. For me that's the result of the season, away from home, struggling for form, against an inform Cardiff and I guess with a manager under pressure, no matter what he says.
Same again for Saturday please.

hale and pace, you're watching wrong team mate more like hagi and pele but obviously much better. I prefer wood to douk but he has done his shift and done quite well I guess. just shows when ant wants it he is class act just need him to want it all season and we could be in promotion chance. ant on form would get wood banging goals in I think as wood needs a foil and is not a lone forward.

While looking on stats of some teams in the championship on transfermarkt I noticed something funny with Grayson and Preston, by looking at his results which are quite impressing, at the beginning of the season it was bad but he turned it around and now they are 7 pts of play offs. But what is more interesting. I think that if he would manage Leeds this season he wouldn't be given the chance to turn things around. Judging by his results he would have get sacked between 12 september and 3 october. In fact it looked quite similar to Rosler situation or was even worse.

interesting stats, just makes you realise what a fine line it can be between success and failure.
I did note there was no mention of the influence of the colour purple around 17 th of September and it role in decision making at that time 🤔🤔.
