Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

In light of the Sam Sodje revelations today about match fixing, it reminded me of a strange own goal he scored for us in April 2009 when we played Tranmere Rovers at home, the final score was 3-1, a victory, but it was an odd own goal, he wasn't under pressure. From the match description after "But from the kick-off Tranmere levelled when an aimless long ball was headed over goalkeeper Casper Ankergren by team-mate Sam Sodje. The own goal had a destabilising effect on Leeds"

No comment. But it was the first thing that came to mind today when the revelations come out.

Frazer Forster's awful miskick leading to Beckford's 92nd minute winner :P

Beckford missed so many chances leading up to it

I thought our midfield was sensational second half yesterday and as a result I thought that was best we've played all season. Anyone agree. JD.

Ross McCormack is playing a very good inspirational part in the team, although a striker in nature he is involved in almost most parts of play on the pitch, be it defence, midfield, or up front, I think he is as influential as Strachan was when we were in Div 2 .

Hi everyone. all in all not a bad result yesterday. Watford not a bad team at all and it shows just how far we have come in a short space of time. Last season that would have been a 5 or 6 nil result. Reminds me of the time we came back to beat Derby from 3-0 down under George Graham (that was the start of the good times, perhaps this is a omen!)

I would just like to make a point about the tv coverage. I didn't go yesterday, so I can only go on what I have seen. Yes it was 3-3, but the stats appear to show us all over them, as well as the report saying after the break it was 'relentless pressure from Leeds'. How then can their first line of their report be 'a draw was a fair result'!
Is it just me or are the tv unable to give us any praise and love any club within the M25!

2 points dropped I'm afraid. Nt so much worried that we would have been in 5th had we won.

More worried that those points may prove vital at the end of the season.

Still comebacks have their place in buildingteam morale and belief

I was there yesterday and at half time I said i'd take a draw to which someone said it would be a miracle so for me we did bloody well to come back. I go to every home game and the atmosphere was electric in the second half, I assure you if that had have been last year wed have been masacred, we didn't give up just kept fighting massive point for us

who do we wanna see arrive in jan?

if BMD is going to keep same formation then i'd like to see another cb either as first team or cover and another striker, smiths doing ok but we need someone who will bag the goals to push us on, i'd take becchio back or even gradel, I kno he was a winger but mayb could play in the hole.

It's a long shot, but. If we have this ''7 figure investment for transfers'' as the OS said I would like to see a bid put in for Ryan Gauld.
He seems to be a level headed lad and has shrugged off the premier league big boys because he won't get playing time in the 1st eleven (see tv article).
With our history, current position and Scotland links surely we could give a persuasive argument to get this lad to sign. Maybe Mr MCc and Strachan could give him a wee push.

Agree0 Disagree0

100% true! the lad needs to step up and a team like leeds would probably be the right place for a player like him! he's quality but worth a few bob, hopefully we can put a bid in for players like him

Agree0 Disagree0

I think a lot of us have a long list of players we would like in, some more realistic than others. For me it would be something along the lines of:

Nahki Wells
John Guidetti
Max Gradel
Chris Burke
Will Buckley
Michael Kightly (We should have got him when we had the chance, probably no chance now though).
Dean Cox (Could be worth a punt)
Henri Lansbury
Charles N'Zogbia
Owen Garvan
Martin Kelly
Harry Kane
Zoltan Gera

Now obviously I don't expect us to sign them all, that would be pointless, but just a few that may be worth a go, majority are young enough, yet experienced, but if we could take 2 or 3 from the list above I'd be more than happy.

Just my opinion of course.

How much do you all think Norwich will offer for McCormack in January?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Anyone who seriously wants his signature will need to bid close to 6 million.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nearer £10m mate. jD

Agree0 Disagree0

6 million you're having a laugh! I reckon bids may be 3-4 mill, however I am optimistic that the new board will show some resolve and resist any offers

Agree0 Disagree0

We are not a selling club no more!

Even though mccormack himself is worth no more than 4 million I would also say based on his contract 6 million is his value 4 years left

Agree0 Disagree0

3 or 4 million now who's having a laugh think jD is spot on no one more prolific in the league this season forget about selling him anyway as already stated we don't need to sell anymore irreplaceable anyway my opinion! MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

There's no point selling in January as his value won't decrease in the summer even if he stops scoring now he's still scored a load of goals. Look at Vydra, he scored up until February then didn't score but people still wanted to pay millions for an average player
