Use our rumours form to send us leeds transfer rumours.

Hate the fact everyone saying 'we're going backwards with warnock' we may be playing badly but playing Badly with graysons players

Believable10 Unbelievable3

Don't worry most of us are with you, summer of change is upon us, next term will show, also loved watching the the shoe leather Warnock gave Thompson after he got sent off, SG would of just let him walk past whist putting his fingers on his chin and thinking hmmm can't wait to talk dribble in post match interview, marching on with Warnock

Agree4 Disagree4

The reason we seem to be going backwards is because we are scoring less goals and are less creative going forward .
warnock as got us letting less goals in .well in most of the games which as got us looking more like a team . its not warnocks fault that the players have dropped in form . if you look at our last 3-4 seasons we have lost form after jan so why would it be different now. next season if given the money warnock will give us a great chance of getting promoted . i never liked the guy but he has a proven record and in warnock we must believe. just hope bates does or he will be walking before start of season

Agree1 Disagree1

Bates's explicit reason for sacking Grayson was to get the most from the CURRENT playing squad whilst we were still in with a chance of the playoffs. It hasn't really worked now if we're honest has it?

Surely it stands to reason that if Warnock is so much better as a manager than Grayson then he should be getting MORE from the same players, not less. To argue otherwise flies in the face of logic.

All you apologists for Bates/Warnock seem to want to have your cake and eat it. We were out of the top six so it was Larry's fault. Warnock has clearly taken us backwards by halving our average points per game tally and yet somehow it's all still Grayson's fault. It doesn't matter who the players are, that not exactly a reasoned argument.

If you think things are really better now than they were on 30th January then you are clearly deluded. The table doesn't lie and we're in real danger of dropping into the bottom half this week.

I'll give Warnock the benefit of a season before making a judgement because that's the least he deserves, but the real problem still remains - Bates.

Agree3 Disagree3

Zzzzzzz
The Anti Bates brigade again.
Bates isn't going anywhere so either accept it or **** off.
By your token of logic with points. Readings manager was rubbish but is now world class.

Agree4 Disagree4

What does it matter where we finish now? We can't go up and we can't go down! Now is the time for Warnock to try a few fringe players out and see what we have for next season.

Agree4 Disagree2

The way warnock's setting his side to play i suggest he signs two proven forwards, Peacock and Bailey

Agree1 Disagree0

The fixtures warnock has has since larry left have been quite difficult, which teams above us did we beat when sg was there?

Agree3 Disagree1

We've just lost three on the bounce AT HOME to teams below us. You can be as scathing a you like about the Anti Bates crowd - we're not going anywhere. We LOVE our club and that's why we're going to fight him. Those who support his asset stripping should be f*cking off - armchair fans in the main.

I've just got home from watching yet another utterly inept display by manager and team - need goals - take off your top scorer and the only player who's played well all game. Well done Colin...

leeds to sign alan smith in the summer 100%

Believable4 Unbelievable10

If we looked back we would see this self same comment at least 300 times. Alan Smith the old Alan Smith would be fantastic but he ain't coming sorry guys be he ain't WE CAN'T AFFORD HIM

Agree4 Disagree3

Zzzzzzzzzzzzz anybody for Quinn and Monty?

Agree4 Disagree3

I dont think he will be coming but if grayson had still been manager it would of been a 100% signing.smith will now have no choice but to drop his wages as he is not wanted by prem league teams

Agree2 Disagree1

Zzz yes and Tom soares

Massive clear out to allow new players to come in. The following to leave.

1. Mika Vayrynen (dodged with injuries)
2. Mikael Forssell (not fit enough and past his prime)
3. Alex Bruce (not good enough)
4. Andy O'Brien (off the field problems)
5. Lloyd Sam (not good enough)
6. Michael Brown (past his best)
7. Paul Robinson (loan expired)
8. Danny Webber (loan expired)
8. Billy Payner (loaned out or sold as he is still under contract)
9. Maik Taylor (retiring)

Sorry to see Beechio go but needs must!
10. Ross McCormack (sold to raise funds, not quick enough.
11. Beechio (sold, again not quick enough)

Players who might be coming in.

1. Paddy Kenny
2. Jason Pearce
3. Matt Mills
4. Clint Hill
5. Darron Ambrose
6. Tommy Smith
7. Another forward

Believable3 Unbelievable5

Brown has to be kept and why would you sell our top goalscorer?

Agree2 Disagree1

Webber ain't on loan,
And why would we go for Townsend after he didn't want to play for us 2 months ago

Agree2 Disagree1

I wouldn't wipe my arse with Townsend he has no football brain

Agree2 Disagree1

1st poster said nothing about Townsend. Think you mean tommy smith who was recalled by spurs

Agree0 Disagree2

Tommy Smith is a QPR player and was not recalled by Spurs, that was Adam Smith! Who mentioned Andros Townsend? Jesus, can't you lot read or at least do some research before making yourselves look stupid?

Strikes me that just about every QPR player on the fringes is being linked with us by somebody. Don't forget NW has an absolute multitude of connections in the game and could probably find someone at any club. Ched Evans is a possibility I think, as are Clint Hill and Herman Hreidarsson. But time and money available will see. You can't refurbish your house until you have emptied out all the old rubbish to make space can you?

Agree3 Disagree2

Michael Brown, Paul Robinson, Danny Webber & Becchio will be going nowhere.
I doubt Paynter will be going either, he's likely to be warming the bench.
Alex Bruce has a chance of staying.
Ross McCormack will only be going if he wants to go or if there's a problem between him and Warnock.
I hope we stick by OB personally. No club felt the pain of losing Gary Speed more than us, so if any club should stand by a player with depression, it's us.
The rest aren't good enough.
Expect Lonnergan to want a word with Mr Warnock when Paddy turns up also.
Expect to see Ched Evans arrive if the blunts don't go up.

Rade Prica:
Unfinished business in England, only getting 6 games for Sunderland 2007 - 2009.
Knows what it feels like to be a winner. Winning titles in Sweden, Norway & Denmark.
International experience, playing 14 games for Sweden.
31 years old so still around his prime.
Near end of his contract so would be cheap.
As a Scandinavian, he would probably jump at the chance to play for Leeds.
6ft 1inch & 139 goals in 367 appearances.
Would surely make a great squad member

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Thank you Mr. Prica's agent. Try Freeads.

Any rumours ED which have something to back them up? QPR raid on the cards? {Ed020's Note - most probably, i've heard a strong rumour that anton ferdinand is on his way, but its all speculation atm. we'll know when they want us to know!}

Believable7 Unbelievable2

This is exactly the type of player a team who are wanting to make a real attempt at getting promoted should be aiming for.
I am genuinely excited about the people that already are been and will be linked with us this close season instead of the laughing stock we have become in the transfer market for the last few seasons.

Agree1 Disagree1

To the 2nd poster, it's only rumours bud, don't get carried away it's not exactly rio, just don't expect any big names even under Warnock, if we do get a big name in the summer then it's a bonus.

I think Charlie Talyor and Ben Parker should be given a chance at left back in the remaining games.

Believable2 Unbelievable9

Ben Parker has been given chances in the past & isn't good enough {Ed020's Note - i agree}

Agree9 Disagree2

Has the original poster been on the drink all weekend or what?

Agree8 Disagree1

Parker hasn't been fit before so can't really go by the games hes played in but i think his wages can be spent on someone less injury prone

Agree5 Disagree3

Parker was never any good, even before his injury troubles.

Agree7 Disagree1

Is Parker not out on loan?

GK: Alex Smithies, Craig Gordon, Marton Fullop, Manuel Almunia, Thomasz Kuszczak
DEF: Stephen Kelly, Dedryk Boyata, Fitz Hall,Clint Hill, Ryan Nelson
MID: Danny Murphy (May come if offered the captain's armband), Josh McEachran (not getting playing time at Chelsea or Swansea), Mohamed Diame, Danny Guthrie, Somen Tchoyi, Hendry Thomas(would be helped to settle in by Nunez), Sammy Clingan
CF: Denis Stracqualursi (would be good for/with Becchio),Ricardo Fuller, Ched Evans, Ivan Klasnic

All at the end of their contract at the end of the season (with the exception of Stracqualursi, who there seems to be a bit of doubt his contract with Tigres)
I suspect at least a few of them will be wearing our shirt next year and I reckon we could get a lot of them.
Me personally, I'd like Murphy, Smithies, Evans, Hill & Stracqualursi

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Murphy and Brown partnership would have been good 5 years ago.

Agree2 Disagree2

Most of those players are on too high a wage

Agree2 Disagree2

Smithies, Hill, Hall, Clingan & Evans possibles.

Agree1 Disagree1

I'd like Gordon, Boyata, Diame, Guthrie, Clingan, Evans and Klasnic

Agree0 Disagree1

I'd like to know who found the keys to Papa Smurfs safe? No chance of majority of these. Do you really think offering Danny Murphy the Captains armband will make him drop a division and about 40K a week? Dream on mate.....

I don't expect everyone to agree with me but this venom against Johnny Howson I think is out of order. We are supporters and we don't play for the team we know exactly the lengths we go to to buy a season ticket so of course we would think we'd never leave Leeds for another club if we played. However to players it's a job, and the jobs we work in if we know we are good at what we do and where we work doesn't represent our ambition and we are offered a move to somewhere where they offered twice as much money answer honestly would you take it? Be honest ! suddenly you can afford the things you couldn't afford and your playing in the best league in the world against the best players .......come on get real who would turn it down ?

Believable9 Unbelievable7

Id rather stay with leeds and push for promotion. money isnt everything plus id rather be a legend and hav the leeds fans on my side.

Agree6 Disagree2

Why shouldn't there be any venom towards Howson? Beckford, Kilkenny & Johnson all got their share.

Agree4 Disagree2

I totally agree with the first post. I can only assume that the responder is a schoolboy with his head in the clouds. One day when you are an adult you will appreciate the first post!?

Agree2 Disagree2

I'm the first poster and Leeds United is my passion and I would love to think that our players would want to stay and fight for promotion but I'm a realist and it just doesn't work like that. Plus it's not only the players decision remember that

Agree3 Disagree4

The sale of howson was good for both parties at the end of the day . he wasn't going to resign and leeds get 2 mil for a player that was injured it was a no brainer

Agree2 Disagree3

Good riddens....on 10k a week, captain of his boyhood club, loved by the fans and still not good enough, plus i wouldnt wanna be property of delia smith. Why would u be happy in league 1 and not the championship?

This won't be a popular shout but I think we should consider dropping Becchio next season. Despite him working hard and scoring a few goals, his 'target man' presence seems to make us play long ball all the time. He doesn't win too many headers and when he does he flicks them on to the opposition. I'd be more in favour of playing McCormack & Somma (once fit) for a style of play with a bit more guile. If that fails bring Becchio on for the last 20 minutes to shake them up.

Believable8 Unbelievable6

"He doesn't win too many headers....."

I take it you don't watch too many games then?

Agree4 Disagree5

Becchio will stay as he is the type of forward Warnock likes. He just needs a good poacher along side him. Some one who can work of his lay offs,A Lee Chapman style player would be ideal he was not blessed with skill but he knew where the back of the net was.

Agree2 Disagree1

Like Davide Somma?

Agree0 Disagree2

I for one dont think that becchio wins headers as he gets beat to the ball in the air and its realy really frustrating so i think that you dont go to many games as he does this repetedly over and over.

Agree4 Disagree6

So many idiots come on here!

Agree5 Disagree3

Im not saying that i dont like becchio my point is that hes not the best at winning headers and when he does win headers it more often than not goes to the opposition so i would prefer leeds to play it on the floor rather than rely on becchio winning headers as it doesnt work out so if you disagree you clearly dont go to any matches you armchair fan.

i would love to see gradel back in a leeds shirt as he was the perect winger that scored loads of goals and created many chances. next season is looking to be a big turnaround and and a busy transfer window, lets see how warnock will manage us under his team and not graysons.MOT

Believable8 Unbelievable5

Whoever disagreed why don't you agree and why wouldnt you want to see gradel back at our club

Agree1 Disagree2

08 Apr 2012 01:49:13
i wouldnt mind darren ambrose or adam lallana to pair up with clayton in midfield but i cant see s'ton selling any of their best players especially if they get promoted.MOT

if leeds were to sell snodgrass in the summer hit "agree" if you think mccleary would be worth a punt as he can quite easily skip past defenders as hes shown against us and against bristol city today witch would create more oppertunities for becchio.MOT(and hope snodgrass dosent leave in the summer as hes by far our best player and probably one of the best in the league.)

Believable3 Unbelievable3

My gran could skip past our defenders and shes been dead 25 years

Agree4 Disagree2

And since when does anybody on our team score goals with such class like mccleary

Agree0 Disagree2

08 Apr 2012 01:35:59
To all Leeds fans please can we not have a repeat of last summer where we were linked with every player in the world please? Everyone has to remember that really most stories about it are journalists putting 2 and 2 together to make 5

Believable4 Unbelievable5

I don't care how many players we're linked with - but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE no doylems bringing up the name of Alan Smith!

HE'S FINISHED!!
