was at the game today so sorry lads my curse seems to be continuing.

today was not good but the manager and lots of players have been here all of five minutes so it will take time.

I was at hocks first game and instantly called for him to be sacked. today I give full faith

the team has pace, has a gameplan and clear identity. no it did not work today but you can see the end game and they will get their.

lots of pace and options and players who can make somthing happen, even if it didn't happen today.

QPR away is a hard game, the mistake was very silly, bamba has to be replaced by better, birdcut maybe but I like tom and viera so not too worried.

we will come good and I predict a good season, newcastle also lost and they will still win league. things take time and I was pleased with the potential in what I saw today

MOT and I am never going leeds again it seems my curse is better than any team/ manager.

Disagree BW, I think Diagouraga was poor, particularly in the first half. We need Bridcutt to provide better protection of the back 4 and give us a foothold in games.

dont get we wrong think bridcut would be good and hope we get him but I good cb is far more imporant. have far more faith in diagouragra than I do sol bamba.

Didn't say that Cork, I felt that BW was wrong in his assertion that Dave will be ok through the season. I thought he was outplayed by Viera. The issue was that we had no outlet due to laboured passing and movement. They appeared to be a chasm between defensive midfield and attacking midfield.

Invariably Dave and Viera were trying to pass through 3 advancing QPR midfielders. Defensive mistakes were made but the route cause of the loss was through a weak midfield. I think Bridcutt could have had an impact but too many players played poorly to ensuring that the impact would have been limited.

Best to lose early so that the pressure of an unbeaten season does not add to the pressure there already. Good to get the first loss out the way. Now watch as we improve.

Most games are won in midfield we were second best today. The balance of our midfield is all wrong. Bridcutt is a must we have to play an attacking midfielder who looks like he can create space and get the ball to the attack. Monk has to take responsibility for today's fiasco, he picked the wrong team and must regret his decision to make Bamba captain.

Hope we get bridcutt. Taking far too long though I'm beginning to doubt it even happening. Think we need bridcutt and a quality CB. I think we do have quality in the group they just played shockingly today.

I think Bartley, sacko, vieira, antonnson and coyle had good games considering- (shame about last minute with coyle but he's young) .

roofe is more of an attacking wide player/ winger than a wide midfielder as he played today. I believe he'd be better suited in a 433 or a formation with 2 strikers.

Grimes should never play before Mowatt as they're the same type of player and Mowatt seems miles better.
Also Bamba is a accident waiting to happen but we're going to have to put up with it.
Still think we can have a decent go for 6th if we sign bridcutt and maybe one other along with Hernandez and the other signings living up to expectations.
Can't get much worst than today at least. Well maybe :/.

Please get rid of Bamba before it's too late. When the ball comes anywhere near him he gets all fidgety.
Taylor was pants
Everyone in midfield were pants.
Keeper poor distribution. Flappy ( sounds familiar )
Antenson looked ok
Coyle played pretty well.
Sako looks promising.
Defo need the birdcage and a centre half.

Its one game and as Notts pointed out we are behind everyone else due to the late finalization of pre season.

i agree with cork, green was class and is still good keepers make mistakes and they always cost, don't make him pony. I think we will have a good season. keep the faith, if we won by three it won't mean we'd win it, we lost be three don't mean we can't win it.

Alot of blaming wood haha first half got no service n was running after shadows for the ball so can't blame him for that. Second half was but better but wood still didn't get much service n he's not a player who's going to run past defenders.

Well thank god for that! I have had this terrible feeling for 3 months! It was weird, coma like dreams, it started with with us getting a perm manager, then and England keeper, then signing lots of exciting players. I started to get a feeling of, what's the word, optimism?
So glad to have woken up and everything is the same, same old crap, def gaffs, goalkeeping howlers and Chris 'Teflon' wood playing!

Now is not the time to panic, yes we were very poor and as a fan it is embarrassing to watch that display but we were under cooked following the Atalanta friendly and we still remain the same. Dallas and Berardi have barely had a pre-season, the introduction of new players into a new system requires game time to work through. Most sensible fans see we need at least Bridcutt and a quality centre back (possibly a striker) and this is still the case. The game was lost in midfield as there appeared to be a huge void between defensive and offensive midfield therefore everytime we had the ball in our own third there was no outlet to release it to. I would expect the club to be active in the market this week, need to write today off but learn quickly from our mistakes.

Agree with everything you say, no need to over react and 3-0 a bit harsh but today will have shown what we need to concentrate on. Positives were Vieira and Coyle, despite their one mistake each. Dallas looked off the pace and I'm surprised he started, Sacko much livelier when he came on. Thought Roofe looked good in patches till faded a bit, will improve once he adjusts which he will. Diag had a poor game, didn't add anything, Wood looked lost and Antonsson at least got into the right positions. Green made the obvious howler and distribution not good but improved as the game went on. Surprised to see Grimes playing (supposedly) as a no.10, didn't seem clear what his role was, hence no link up between attack and defence. Signor C will hopefully realise we need a Bridcutt and strong cb at least, look at Caulker for them, on a high wage but not much gets past him.

Same old same old! Bamba-headless, Diagouraga-ineffective, Green- nervous, Roofe- overawed, Wood- absolute waste of money! What does he bring to the team? At least Antonsson looked lively and got into positions to have our two best chances. He did little last season to justify his wages and on this performance nothing seems to have changed!
Bright points-Sacko and Viera also look half decent despite the penalty.

Before all the negativity comes out here's my thoughts. Not a complete disaster, don't get me wrong though - That was poor. Have to say QPR played well, but didn't have to work hard to stop us creating chances. Second half was better though, 3-0 probably flattered them, and there were flashes of positivity here and there - Antonsson, Coyle (last goal aside) and Sacko showed promise. Remember this is the teams first competitive game together, and with Monk in charge. Defence needs sorting still, maybe Cooper to play next game? Give Monk time and a couple more additions to the squad and we could be decent.

Starting with the positives. Sacko looked lively when he came on . Viera - apart from the penalty looked to have some promise. Apart from the last minute Coyle looked ok, . Antonnson had two shots albeit both off target. Downside. No bite up front. Wood totally ineffective. Dallas nowhere. Bamba is an accident waiting to happen. No control in mid field. Three goals conceded. No real creativity and Belusci and Silvestre are not there to be blamed. We rarely conceded two never mind three when they were. We were totally outplayed.

I've said it before - be careful what you ask for you might just get it. Bamba in Belusci out. What a cruel joke. Silvestre out Green in- What a cruel twist. Morrison out Wood in that's just I always said be careful what you ask for cruel (He's the most ineffective striker I've seen for a long time) . Dallas in. That's just taking the mickey. l. Is Grimes playing. Any good points so far? We are only one down. Mowatt to come on. If he doesn't score he won't make a difference. Roofe is struggling so far. Needs time to adjust.
