Alan Smith reborn!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope better than smith, never really rated him average at best

Agree0 Disagree0

A S worked his socks off at lufc but thendid the unmentionable.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hard working but very little talent, was not much more than poacher yet goal record was not good espiecally when you consider the team he played in, the fact he then went man u and newcastle to play centre mid with no goals shows his danger as a striker

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree Trev, I liked AS. Sweated blood for us before the fire sale started

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont remember his goals ( so point taken bw )just his efforts which was good too see.
Remember where I was when heard he was off to unmentionable.
Cantona too!
Dont think we have anyone resembles him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Looked at the pic and a shivver ran down my spine. What next - will Redders have a shave and lose the weight to look like O'Leary?

Agree0 Disagree0

Marciare. Think it might take a bit more than a loss of weight and a shave lol

Great to see academy result tonight and although not best results in last 3 games for 1st team hoping milanic is working on a master plan!
Seems to be going that way especially after saturdays reports.
Cellino has been best thing to happen to club for some time but what's the issue with warnock I mean was hearing reports warnock had put in some good performances then he misses a tackle and mc on the phone to get him off the pitch. now he's on the bench.
Seems a little ott imo

Ermmmm. we'll I hope Univaristoi was really gud and helped ya aspire ad heady heights of aw phuckery to be the gran cru of punditry whiners like the Bermo and speedo and. well. nice to have yer back.

Me I'm just drinking the rich wine of MC. and wondering how a guy who could phuck BM over so badly could also turn everything. over and make a sow's purse out of a silk ear that is our Leeds United.

Am hoping for greatness. from NR and wor wee italiano scouty fella to our Darko. but I see more hope. than when smudger glanced that goal of his head against the skume.

God I miss those days.

Maybe they-a come-a back-a.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well love most things mr c has done but if the warnock thing is true just feel a bit for him.
Maybe there is more to it than just a bad timed tackle.
Enjoy the wine tw I certainly will.
MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

I think MC will be considered as improtant to leeds as Revie and Wilkinson in time and seen as the man who saved leeds and took us back to where we belong. He does have maybe too much say in 1st team but if he picked the players we brought then he clearly knows more than a little about football. Love the guy even if he is bat Sh@t crazy

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe he could have a paint ball gun instead of a phone

Agree0 Disagree0

Hey Toronto
When have I ever whined? Think you are mixing me up with someone else

Agree0 Disagree0

Nor have I about mc always loved the bloke I have only ever moaned about hock other than that I am positive

Watch out watford just got rid of first team coach! let's kidnap redders and hide him till they find replacement mot!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Tjey;ve already appointed someone. They are turning into us with their turnover of managers :)

Second half - just as impressive.

i can see why redders wanted to stay with the youth side.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Redders only has to bide his time. He's a nailed on certainty for next head coach, if he's still here then and he wants the job

Would you look at the under 21's?! Goal fest and gold star Neil Redfearn :)

Agree with Marciere watched the under 21s play some fabulous football tonight what an exciting future we have coming through, the pick of the players although all of them were outstanding tonight for me were Chris Dawson, Brian montenegro, Adryan, and young right back Booker. I think Montenegro is ready for 1st team action and Adryan is 2 or 3 more games away from being ready (Fitness wise) showed his talent and obvious Skill
great to see Noel hunt being a great mentor to the kids and showed what a great pro he is, he played well tonight also. the team playing a similar shape to the 1st team with the same quick passing 2 touch football. Thoroughly enjoyed watching it on LUTV well done lads

Glad to hear we played well, Leeds always have and always will produce good talent and glad to see current crop doing so well, will help leeds once back in the prem. Also glad to hear montengro and adrayn do well. I did fear they were not picked due to not being as good as suggested but by the sounds it is more of a fitness and acostomising to the country and style of play. hope they in the team sooner rather than later to be honest it shouldn't take any pro too long to be ready

just watched the first half of the under 21's against Doncaster. What a fantastic performance from the whole team. Montenego looks differant class. Had Adryan's cheeky free kick gone in instead of hitting the post - it would have been broadcasted around the world!

I cannot wait for the second half.

Redder's team is the future for Leeds United.

Ok, so after taking a university induced hiatus from this site (lurking notwithstanding) I can now make my eagerly awaited return, though I find that I have nothing controversial enough to say, which lessens the event for me. Unfortunately I missed the Redfearn revival and Milanic's appointment, but I have to say, after first being underwhelmed by the results since Milanic replaced Redfearn, it does look as if it's coming together. A bit concerned that some of the players such as Benedecic, Adryan and Montenegro are absent from the side, but I honestly think we have a lot of skilled players who will grow into a formidable team providing we can keep hold of them all for the full season. Antennucci looks like he could be our main man up front, he gets some stick for straying off-side a lot, but I think that's par for the course if you play his particular style. All in all, I'm happy to see the team coming together first under Redfearn and now Milanic. We're a long way away from the dross we saw under Leeds United's own he-who-must-not-be-named.

Also it looks like Bermonsey and Speedy are developing an almost Survivor Jeff/Mad Mick relationship, which is nice :)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Don't be bashful Mr Happy. If you want a 3 some just say :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldn't want to be a thorn between two roses, Speedy :P

Agree0 Disagree0

I hear berm and speed have just signed up for mr and mrs series 30051

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah right we have, going to win a small clock (i said clock) and see the silver fox himself. That said I like Speedo but we are not exclusive i'm anyones for a cold pie and warm beer, even Daivd Hockaday is in with a chance. ok I wouldn't go that far

Agree0 Disagree0

Blooming heck BW. We haven't even consummated our bromance yet and you are offering your services to all and sundry. I can see I'm going to have to keep a closer eye on you

Agree0 Disagree0

Aint love grand haha.

Ok, so Darko will have 2 good weeks now to study his players and start to form a better opinion of them. What changes do we expect/hope to see? I don't think there will be many to be honest. I'll predict an easy one: Adryan will feature in next couple of games at some point - i'd love him to start the next game so we can get a proper butchers at him

think Montenegro will be on bench as well as Adryan

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree, would be nice to see Adryan and see if he is as good as Cellino rates him. Also waiting to see Benedicic, Del Fabro and Montenegro all of whom sound like they have potential. With a squad the size of ours it will take Darko a while I suspect to find the best mix. I just hope he gives the youth a chance and not last seasons old guard again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Youth team are flying so they have to be considered, that siad I think 1st team will click soon which makes it harder to drop people, that said if your old enough your good enough, but then you don't win anything with kids and it is ain't broke don't fix it. I should be on motd

So what are your thoughts on Cellino, now the dust has had a little time to settle and you can beginning to form an idea of how he is working in practice?

He does look to me, looking in from the outside, to have made difficult decisions, but the right ones. Cost cutting is never going to be popular, but it needed to be done.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree with whatever Bermonsey says

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont tell me sacking the long serving kitchen staff needed to be done. Cost cutting gone too far!

Agree0 Disagree0

I also agree with me. MC is also going to be a bit of a rollercoaster, he loves to sack managers, has an ego the size of well my ego, he has too much say in signings and 1st team (which is why coaches go so much) and is box of frogs mad. That said I love him, is a proper football bloke, his ego will not allow him to fail, his record at clagira is great and shows he is loyal to team even if not managers, he has put money in and signings all (apart from ajose) look good to very good, predict bigs things for leeds and think will be prem team in few years and once there we will stay there. As for cost cutting it is business and he did what he had to, we don't know how bad it was and think he bit off more than he thought, if kitchen staff had to go they had to go, sure he didn't fire people for no reason. Maybe all the staffs wages over the year made a difference and was an expendable expense

Agree0 Disagree0

Well I don't know about the kitchen staff, so won't comment on that. But isn't it almost unbelievable that of all the 15 or so signings that MC/Salerno brought in, they are pretty good or potentially very good - with maybe one exception. I can't believe any English managers could make so many signings with so few mess ups!
