I love you Brian McDermott I do but you cannot keep referring to 'when I was at Reading'. Unless you do with us what you did with them in which case you can refer to 'when I was at Reading' as much as you like :o)

PS Please can EHD start against Birmingham? And, finally, PPS, whilst they are at ours, please can GFH allow you to get your cheque book out?

Ok BMd's honeymoon period is over. I know he needs more backing, but can't help thinking that out of the 4 players he has signed, none of them are getting much game time or making an impact. Not impressed by any of them. Why sign Hunt when we are crying out for an out an out winger & have known this all summer? That position should have been the first filled for me. I would rather have signed 2 players and have spent more money on a better winger. I know much of this squad he has inherited, but the players that are doing it for us appear to be the ones he didn't sign. Now he is saying that he as money but no rush to sign anyone plus we are getting the same spiel that all previous managers gave us. let's wait until the premiership name their 25 man squad and then it's they don't want to let them out on loan or to buy. Why the hell don't we get our act together sooner and get these players much sooner? So sick of the drivel we are being served up yet again.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You are right none of McD's signings are getting much game time therefore we basically have Warnock's team. Hence are terrible form and league position. JD

It is easy to be negative and angry at our poor results recently, the manager and players are the brunt of backlash.

The lack of width and need of outlet for attacking play has been a critical error in not putting it right as a priority before the season kicked off.

Hopefully the international break will give opportunity to thrash things out and work on improving how we play.

I do believe McD needs time and patience and I will try to be more patient with him and the players as it would be unfair not to this early into the season. Of course the manager and players want to succeed and help the club move forward, go for it lads.

Well. We have had 3 great managers. In 3 different era's . Revie, Wilkinson ( who had is fair share of critics ) and o Leary. All had the backing of the board ( too much so. In o learys case )
Does any one really think that gfh and bmc can make it a successful 4th era? Of course not. But tell me. If bmc was sacked who out there is any better? No one is the answer! I'm as cheesed of as anyone with the current state of affairs and set up. But we have got to put up with what we have got for now and get behind the team and Brian it could make all the difference.
Pointless jeering and booing that just undermines the team and browns confidence. So turn up in your thousands and cheer the team on to better things.you never know it may make all the difference and still a long way to go this season.

O'Leary? I would have by sceptical to put him in the same bracket as the other two, after all he had more money than god and delivered nothing! I am not saying that he didn't do well though.
On your other point, think about it. We are in such a dire run of form that I think the question isn't who could do better, I think the question is more who could do worse! This is a results business and the facts at the moment don't lie! Based on results since early Sept we would be bottom.
It is all very well saying he's got a bad squad, but we are dreadful In fact at the moment we are worse than dreadful. We are the team others look at and rub their hands together when they play us.
Im afraid he needs to start producing & fast, because he might be a nice, honest guy, but the fact of the matter remains at the moment he isn't doing a good enough job!

i think gfh and bmd will be successful over the next few seasons, gaining us promotion . the problem with us fans is we have seen man city and Chelsea get taken over by rich people and we expected the same .gfh will probably spend what we make as a club but not much more . they will not risk the rest of there business by getting in debt chasing the dream .give them time and things will come good .

Agree0 Disagree0

The reason why we are struggling at the moment is because of the tight transfer budget during the summer.
We didn't make any major signings and we were still left 2 players short.
Brian was left to try and work with a one out, one in policy which really was a bit of a shambles.
I am confident that Brian will get things moving but he desperately needs another couple of players. If it doesn't happen then it will be a mixed bag of results. this means mid to lower table position.

Agree0 Disagree0

I disagree, evidently he had Money atleast a million and spent it in thr wrong position another centre mid when we've got a host of players to play there a target man striker and Noone to supply him Cumon this is unacceptable if I made those choices in my job and then produced the results were getting if b fired without any hesitation, I actually think were worse then last season with practically the same squad what does that tell u?

Agree0 Disagree0

Were Don Revie. Shankly, Buzby and Fergie instant successes? NO you have to give Brian time he has inherited a very poor squad of players with very little quality. GFH need to support him and bring in players who are going to make a difference. MOT

I would just like to add my thoughts about the current mess we find ourselves in. Firstly, you have to be fair to BMD, he inherited a below average squad and has been unable to move on the players he doesn't want. The players he brought in are young and will hopefully learn(except Hunt who is just a mistake imo).
GFH aren't mega rich and can't afford the types of players we need, but I think they are trying hard to put things right.
With the limitations within the squad and not much prospect of adding more quality, BMD has to tailor his tactics to the "strengths" of the players he has. I don't think he wants to play the diamond, but feels that is the best for his players at mo.
My anger is directed at the players. They seem gutless, have no fight in them and clueless in the final third. We don't seem to have a strong leader on the pitch who will lead by example or give a bollocking when required. Billy Bremner must be turning in his grave.
The very least I expect is for the players to fight their hearts out for the cause, if they can't move them on. I'm going to get slated for this, but I think we missed a big opportunity to sell McCormack and buy in some flair. I don't rate him very highly, I know some of you idolise him, there are a lot better than him out there, but we have missed out on them.
Unless the players shape up and work harder and we get some flair in the squad, we are heading for a very tough season. Rant over! MOT Ron.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

U said it urself he dusnt want to play rhe diamond but persists eniway same with hunt he should been dropped after his first game, personally I blame the manager die this, u can't play the likes of McCormack in midfield behind a load of garbage, imagine how he feels loosing hid place to Carney hunt and enione els he fancies throwing up front I think we plated much better with diouf mcc and break and that playin even if u didn't like the style now we offer nothing upfront and evidently can't defend too well this is bmcd fault imo

How come Ross McCormack never gets any stick?am I the only person whos noticed that since he's signed his contract he's been truly shocking?I was at the Derby game yesterday with my wife who isn't even a football supporter and she said to me whos that number 44 he's been rubbish today.Recently everytime he gets the ball he either runs in to traffic or gives the ball away with a shocking pass then walks off with his head down or blames somebody else.At the derby game every player was getting stick but not ross.rose tinted glasses come to mind. Also i'm sure he's got a clause in his contract saying he has to complete 90 mins everyweek.if I was manager yesterday i'd have dragged him off and played dioufy in the hole.I don't care what anybody says Dioufy would be far more creative playin in there than ross is at the mo.Diouf must be watchin from the bench wondering how he's not in the team ahead of Hunt or Ross.I personally think Ross needs a kick up the arse and dropping for diouf against Birmingham.no doubt everybody will disagree and back Ross up as normal.I don't mean to get on the lads back because ross at the begginin of the season was immense but it just bugs me how other players get stick but he comes out stick free everyweek and gets let off lightly. It realy is cringe worthy how people lick up to him on twitter and he laps it all up.hopefully a kick up the arse and we wil c the old Ross again from earlier in the season.for me from the team yesterday i'd like to c Byram for Pelts wootton for Lees, Murphy for Green Diouf for Ross and Poleon for Hunt.sorry guys just had to get all that off of my chest and feel better for it.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree with you. both millwalls goals came from ross losing the ball. to me ross doesn't work hard enough. would any prem team want him no. prob reached his level. how many man of the match awards has he got for us not many.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ross has been dire since getting his new contract.
maybe if he tried as hard at his job rather than trying to have the top banter on social network sites he would get goals.
i agree drop him & hunt as they just don't click

Agree0 Disagree0

Ur critisiseing him for loosing the ball which lead to the goal, so the player that scored ran through the rest of the team hoes that his fault he's a striker ffs not a defender Austin, now that's sumone who is actually supposed to hold the ball and gives it away pretty much as often as he can

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for that reply Ross

Forgive me George if we drop Ross whose going to get the goals then?

Let me guess your a free agent and could do better?

The guy is a goal scorer.

Yes he will have days when He is poor and doesn't look interested but he will have days when he gets us a point or 3 with a goal.

Just get behind the lads and stop slating them.

Your no use to anyone like that lad

We all said at the start of McDermott's tenure that he would need time to turn the club around. Less than 10 league games in and we've already got some fickle fans turning their heads. Pathetic.

Give the man a break. He is without doubt the man for the job, just be patient!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree, but we are in real danger of being relegated.

Agree0 Disagree0

Most fans are commenting on what they see at present, Utter Drivel, we pay decent money and give the team our social time and deserve at least to see the team have a go, Millwall and Derby where shocking performances and if Bournemouth had been 11 v 11 we'd have probably lost.

Leeds fan since I was a kid 40+ years ago, and I can honestly say not sure how much more I can take this. Sure we have had bad times before but this is as bad a few years as I can remember. We as Leeds fans are used to having most weekends dashed at around 4:45 but it's the constant rubbish that is talk of investment, return of the good times and back to the premiership coming from the so far almost absent GFH - don't really blame BMD as he is left with most of the rubbish that Warnock/Bates left us with - GFH come good or Fek off

When I was at Reading things clicked into place .Hello Brian your at Leeds. Why isn't Bryam playing wheres Shotton gone he:s far better than Lees, White played well against Burnley he gets droppedget it sorted.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It is getting a little bit annoying hearing about what he did at Reading every week. I accept he did really well at Reading & respect that. Obviously he is going to take something from that experience to help him as a manger, but isn't appealing for us to constantly hear about his time at the Berkshire club. At Leeds now. Bigger & infinitely more recompiled fish to fry.

Know what you mean, I always get pi^^ed off with work colleagues who tell you what they used to do in a similar situation at their last job. You are working for us now, forget the past!

Was at Derby yesterday, been to Leicester and the Reading game.
Rodolph Austin a captain and leader the so called ' beast'? I had doubts about him last year, but gave him the benefit of the doubt. He is not good enough, he was walking back when the 3rd goal came. His overall game is poor, shooting, he had a chance to just pick his spot in the few 10 minutes blasted straight at the Leeds fans, a shot at Reading ended in Row Z. He seems only to be able to pass sideways. He did play ok at Leicester and actually tackled someone. Yesterday he and Paul Green were chasing shadows. BMD says afterwards did not compete and earn the right to play, well stop playing the diamond there are too many holes. There were signs of life from Alex Mowatt a possible star. Also why put Smith on and then not go route one, its also pointless putting Poleon on, then having out on the right, he needs to be closer to Smith, who if he get a ball delivered to him where he might win it he might get a knock down. At Least Diouf had the good sense to get up and around him, when he came on. Diouf would at least hold the ball up for us, if he played and has some nous. Come on BMD, you need to get some fight in this team we seem to be happy to just roll over at the moment.

The bubble has burst. It's clear to see we are very very average. Relegation is now a strong possibility. Don't forget we made a late bid for relegation last season. This squad is little different and seem determined to go flat out for the bottom three. I don't blame McDermott. I reserve that for GFH. Their investment in the squad has been pitiful. No goal threat allows our opposition to bomb forward with little to worry about. They know if we fluke a goal they will out score us. Just can't justify my usual half dozen trips from Belfast to watch this rubbish. This international break is an opportunity to get it sorted but it won't be sorted without a strong infusion of quality players. If GFH don't invest now then every Leeds fan will know the score and they will be finished. My only hope is somebody with cash will finally rescue my beloved Leeds United. I don't believe our long suffering fans have the patience for much more of this crap from GFH.
