Garry has an enviable problem coming up over these next few games. GK - sorted back 4 - How do you tell Berardi he is dropped? DM - Just who are our best pairing nobody can seem to agree.

Does he ever go attack and just play one DM? STR - must be Wood at the moment, can do no wrong. ATT MF:

a) do you play Hernandez, blows hot and cold

b) Do you play Roofe; where?

c) Do you attack with Barrow and Pedraza or go for the defensive qualities of Doukara and Dallas

d) does Sacko warrant a game

all this would sorely test the management skills of the best. I suppose we will get some answers tomorrow against Fulham which may reveal his thinking, Does he go to win the game or try to ensure we do not lose?

Whichever way it's good to be able to pose these dilemmas at a time when previously we might just be bemoaning what might have been and actively praying for miracles.

My personal opinions; a) definitely, he can turn a game. B) bench unfortunately I like him and a good player to come on when a defence is getting tired. C) Alf and Dallas, best of both worlds and switch them over if it's not working. D) he's a good promising young talent, I like him but needs to learn how and when to give the ball. Others. Berardi, Taylor probably won't be fit for another few games so keep starting him at lb. I'd play Phillips with bridcutt. Too many headaches for a manager can be counterproductive at times.

He won't drop Berardi. No reason to drop a player who sweats blood for us for one whose made his mind up he's leaving. Too honest?

tough one, for me it is quite easy to tell beridi he is dropped, you let him know taylor is best in league, you remind him he is a right back and then if needed show him all the mistakes, miscontrols and chances he has given away DM is hard i would go bridcut and veirra but that is personal preferance, phillips was good last game and a game changer so should he start?

maybe, o'kane for me is the weakest but again not much in it and personal preference for me dallas and douk can not play togther, their defensive qualities is outwieght but what little they offer going forward (best form of defence is attack) and the fact they can't hold/pass the ball so they have it more so we need to defend more. I would not have douk anywhere near the team.

I think sacko for all his faults offers so much so is worth a shot as starter or bench. Also pez demands a lot of playing time as starter or early sub my team would be Green Taylor Bart, Aling, Birdcut, Viera/phillps, Dallas, Pablo, sacko, wood. but i would bring on Ped for sacko if not working for sacko or for dallas if chasing a goal, i'd also look to bring on roofe if dallas and sacko not playing well. Hard to comment on barrow as he has not been given chance to judge in leeds shirt

Bermo did Beradi sort your missus out or something! You're making him out to be some sort of liability.

06 Mar 2017 21:11:02
Good post Leodis. Personally I'd leave Bridcutt out. Poor of late and doesn't seem to make himself available for a pass unlike OKane. So for me OKane and Viera without a doubt against Fulham.

06 Mar 2017 21:14:16
BW. You dumped me for Taylor or summat? If you want him in so much, keep Berardi and play him left wing

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Mar 2017 21:51:10
Berms you talks bubbles on the beradi situation.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Mar 2017 22:48:19
Berm. Berardi is a good full back who's being played on the wrong side. Ok Taylor is a better quality lb but he's done a sterling stand in job for us. Be positive, hopeful, we're on the march for the top 2 🍾. Brighton are on a wobble, reading are pants, and hudds are going to finish below us. Keep the faith and believe. MOT

Green Ayling Pontus Barts Berardi Kane Phillips Alf Pedro Sacko Wood. Not because the others not good enough but best attacking formation. Douks Vierra Bridcut, Roofe Taylor on bench. Dallas is a good honest player and has defensive qualities but for a left winger does not pose much of an attacking threat.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Mar 2017 09:52:29
BW guess you don't like Berardi. Too many mistakes and an accident waiting to happen. Granted he is not the best at left back but we have 3 defenders looking at suspension he is not one of them. How many of his mistakes have led to a goal. How many crosses from the left have resulted in goals. Should have gone to specsavers mate.

Agree0 Disagree1

07 Mar 2017 10:42:22
please stop with the wrong side rubbish. beridi is being played at left back so much be judged on left back. he is a liability I have every game this season leeds have on series link and and watched every one at least twice he is a liability. against hudds look at the first goal all his fault it was an awful mistake that if done by cooper he would of been hung drawn and quartered, he can not tackle great, control the ball or pass left footed which for a left back is a massive liability.

look how many times he gives ball away, mis-controls is, let's it hit shin and go out of play (three times he has done that i could do better with my left and i play in goal) . he is being play out of position i know but that counts for nothing in the final score. any manager with eye sight will say berardi is a right back playing left, looking at past games he is leeds weak link attack him and we will win. yes for effort, yes for attitude, yes maybe for right back but get him out of my team at left back he ain't good enough.

if taylor is playing soppy buggers GM should of got in a proper left back as berardi is not up for it. please watch the games and study him for what he does in the game what he would do if playing in the right place, wood is a great forward but i don't want him playing in goal, my dad is a great teacher but i don't let him plumb my kitchen

Agree0 Disagree1

07 Mar 2017 10:43:19
Dont think hudds will lucas
Yes BW. Absolute wobblers on berahdi. And sacko to be honest. Oh. And bridcutt. I would have same back 5
Phillips. Vierra. Hern ped Dallas/roofe
Woods.

O'Kane should be in, we win more games when he starts (13 from 18 as against 6 from 12)

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Mar 2017 14:29:25
BW check their stats Taylor and Berardi practically same. Taylor gets forward more granted. His pass percentage is same as Taylor so if you say he gives ball away too much so does Taylor. We all know we need another left back and if taylor was fit and 100% committed put him back in. If not who do you want at left back, who would do a better job than Berardi right now.

06 Mar 2017 09:04:24
Villa and Derby have the potential to come good and take points from our rivals, without being a threat to us. Could do with a good weather forecast for Tues, Hernandez seems at his best when conditions aren't adverse.

06 Mar 2017 13:11:19
Agreed, he's a skillfull player whiplash best when it's warm and dry. Think pedroza will be on fire when the co-option change too.

Agree0 Disagree1

06 Mar 2017 13:31:39
Martyn, have you been dreaming about Miss Whiplash again? 😜 Pablo only seems to be at his best when we're playing well. On a cold night in Fulham (or Brighton πŸ˜ƒ) when it's backs against the wall time may not suit him.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Mar 2017 15:41:53
He may not always put a full shift in but there aren't many players in the entire league that can pick a pass like Pablo can. On his day he is completely unplayable and even if he's having a quiet game, can be a game changer. I could watch those clips from the Villa game all day long. Certain starter for me chaps. MM

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Mar 2017 16:51:55
agree with MM his talent can't be matched by anyone in our squad and maybe not by many in our league, he has to start and has to be given a chance played so bad against brum but still gave the assist for the third and i say this knowing his place keeps out roofe who i really really like and rate. Pedrarza pablo and sacko with bridcut and okane/phillps/vierra behind would frighten anyone and be soild enough considering how good our back five are. i'd go for that all day long.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Mar 2017 16:58:47
Agree MM. He can be useless for 89 minutes but then might have the genius moment that wins us the game. And he's always going to get us some free kicks and occupy the attention of a couple of defenders

For his corners alone. No coincidence we've scored loads from set pieces.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Mar 2017 10:15:21
Cork, you are spot on about his corners. What was the game where Phillips took about a million wasted corners? Pablo's are generally class

Where as 12 wins is not impossible lucas it is highly unlikely. I've been thinking over last few days about the brum game and previous few too. Somebody mentioned that vierra and okane played when bridcutt was injured and we played well!

I admire bridcutts defensive qualities but i believe he is putting defense under too much pressure. He must pass back 75% of the time and the more he does the more likely they will make errors.

We spend far too much time passing the ball in our half. A better team than brum would have had 3 goals in first half. I think ped should start as he poses more threat than dallas or douk!

Maybe our attacking players movement off the ball needs to improve but we definitely need to stop being dangerously over defensive.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

06 Mar 2017 09:32:14
Negative, negative, negative we have scored more and conceded less than the other teams in playoff spots but some of us think this is not good enough. We are chasing automatic promotion and yet we need to do this better or that better. Enjoy what we have and less of the criticism.

Agree2 Disagree2

06 Mar 2017 09:35:16
Also you mentioned a better team than Birmingham would have put 3 more goals and yet not a lot have put more than a couple past our defense all season

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Mar 2017 10:47:42
wex, settling for what you've got is in itself negative. I am suggesting improvement is needed which is positive. Why do teams that are the best in the world forever improve their squad? It's progress. i'm merely suggesting that in my opinion if bridcutt continues the back passing it is over working the defence and will get us caught out.

Agree5 Disagree0

06 Mar 2017 12:08:39
Over the moon to be where we are but have to agree with the ausman Brid and O, Kane not our most productive pairing in midfield. But i put my faith in monkey magic he has a plan. Onwards and upwards.

06 Mar 2017 12:11:35
Plus i am happy we are able to rest the young ones. Phillips looked more on his game when he came on against Birm.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Mar 2017 13:11:54
Jeez lads Johnny Giles had his faults and some refered to batty as "back pass Batty" I'm saying the criticism is undeserved this team is doing us proud and if they continue will become legends. Let's get behind them.

Agree0 Disagree2

06 Mar 2017 13:36:39
Brid, Phillips, Alf, Pablo and Dallas would be my 5 to start in midfield at Fulham. Defensive minded Dallas would give us extra protection against their attacks.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Mar 2017 13:47:42
I have to weigh in on this, although I have said this before. Bridcutt and O’Kane just do not work together, far too defensive and Viera needs to seriously improve his distribution. Philips is our only out and out central midfielder he totally changed the game on Friday, just by passing ball, giving give and goes and applying pressure in the Midfield not in front of the back 4. For me Bridcutt or O’Kane are both seen to better affect when he is there, they can then do the dirty work the ball retention. Let the others play

Only thing I have to add, it's great to hear all the differing opinions and varying ideas for what best would serve Monkey and the lads going forwards. Thanks to all the Eds, everyone is provided equal opportunity to share their personal views, and whilst They don't necessarily always match my own views I respect and enjoy reading them all (Jeff not so much) and previous contributors whose behaviours were rightly addressed by the Eds. And really enjoy the responses, especially our witty contributions from MM etc πŸ˜‚ Without responses being allowed and valued, well no point having posters, just log on and read one version. This way . well it's almost Banter ! Thanks Eds

{Ed001's Note - almost is a crucial word there! ;-)

Not happy with fourth. Want third. Maybe second. Mc c and now monk have worked miracles and its fantastic where we are! Could be better but fantastic. Bridcutt will cost us 3-6 points in next 12 games unless he resets his attitude. Our defence don't need or want the ball that much. So many times you see them pointing forward as if to say. Pass forward not back. Its just unnecessary pressure.

06 Mar 2017 16:52:13
Brid, Phillips, vieira, Alf, roofe for me.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Mar 2017 16:53:20
Agree we can't play 2 holding midfielders it's too risky and there's not enough for us going forward, although against the better teams we might be more fortunate to have 2 holding, particularly in the big games, for Fulham I think we need vieira and brid holding and Phillips at number 10.

great comment speedy very funny (I love you) . Aus bridcutt cost us that much? not sure mate he is not that bad in fact i rate him but can see point about back passes, have to remember if palying with douk, dallas and okane maybe he don't have much to pass to, he was better when phuillps come on against brum. can't believe a few want to drop pablo, i can see the reason but still he is our touch of class

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Mar 2017 21:18:49
Good point Aus. Bridcutt a good player when it's back to the wall. He's too negative and when he try's to be positive gives the ball away to often.
