Billy sharp to come in on loan only if he either cuts his wages down or leeds loan a couple of players out to cover most of his wages.

Can't see it happening to be honest, we've been linked with him times before and nothing's happened at all.

GFH investing in property in London. How about buying ER next!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

They're an investment bank, how do u think they make money!

Agree0 Disagree0

Or investing in our squad more like.

Agree0 Disagree0

Or maybe they are acting on behalf of a client!

They don't just own LUFC

Agree0 Disagree0

What do you expect from an INVESTMENT BANK! they can make money from other properties, which could benefit ER should they decide to buy it

We need wingers right?

We have Hall and White, Diouf and Poleon(more than capable playing there) and Byram to come back.

Now I am not saying White and Hall are "good enough" or not, but they both know how to get down the wing and cross a ball. Both have a degree of pace (White more) and should (I say should) have enough skill to retain the ball and cut in.

Now I belive transfers come in 3 forms, "necessity signing", "upgrade signings" and "nice to haves"

I believe we would be signing an upgrade to what we have already, but the current tactics are based on having more central mids than anything else and that out balances the wing play formation as the CMs are a tad more competant and to an extent proven. Upfront would alos be upgrades (as we have enough strikers good or not), Wootton was a necessity (definetely light in that area).

As long as we stay therabouts till Jan (by adding 1more player or not) I will be happy. I would love promotion this year, but am realistic.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Just because poleon is fast doesn't mean he can play on the wing. No matter how many times he tries he really struggles to take on his man and he can't really cross that well to be used as a winger. Same goes for white pace doesn't equal winger

White is pants at control . He can run that's for sure but that's it. Poleon is only good as a wide man in a 3 man attack as he doesn't get back keep him as a striker he will do us good this season. Hall hasn't played enough . we should loan wells with the option to buy in Jan and then loan Burke and sign him in the summer on a free .

Agree0 Disagree0

It takes a lot more than just being fast to be a winger.

Agree0 Disagree0

None of the players you mentioned is what we need on the wings. Poleon will only make it as an out and out striker. If White ever makes it it will be as a full back. The others are lower league material except Diouff who is quality but getting on a bit and lacking a bit of pace. Pick of the bunch though

Agree0 Disagree0

White can't kick the ball of the ground, he's not the solution

Been thinking about the pros and cons of poleon
Ok he does run about a bit like a headless chicken but I think
He is only young
He lifts the crowd
The rest of the team gain more momentum when he gets the ball
And
The opposition defenders panic a bit
All good news
Poleon. Varney and mac should def be our starters

I agree about the starting 3 and poleon running about all over means he's a very hard player to mark up . Roll on next game .

Ok let's get a few things straight, someone posted below that a player is not investing in a club how stupid do you sound, if you look at the players clubs have bought then sold on years later for 15 20m more is that not an investment I think so, gfh need to invest in this club first make sure they are getting maximum potential and return I don't think they are.let's take the buy back of training ground and stadium, at the moment we are renting its dead money, they are thinking of investing millions in property I have just mentioned 2 pieces of property that could be seen as an investment, this club if invested properlycould be the most lucrative investment they have ever made but it needs to be put first.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Absolutely bloody spot on pal, they are an Investment Bank, So why not I

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolutely bloody bang on pal, GFH are an Investment Bank so why the hell don't they Invest that 20 million they are spending in London on the buy back of ER, 15 Million buy back just how much more will that be worth in the Prem League or as a Complete Club. Owning the Ground and LUFC as a whole would indeed be the best Investment they would make. MOT

Just for curiosity purposes more than anything - does anybody have a link where I can see each teams players who have been OMMITTED from the 25 man squads?

All I can find online is the list of players who have been included by their club but cannot find a list of players now available for loan?!?

Any help welcomed :)

How come gfh can go buying properties for millions of dollars, but when it comes to a couple of million for transfers they plead poverty.could it be the profits of Leeds utd are not going back into Leeds utd and instead going into there other ventures?.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

They are a investment company they invest in things. This property deal may be financed by some one else that's watt they do. Next year will be different as the season ticket money won't be owed and players contracts expire.

Agree0 Disagree0

Investors invest don't they. A smart investor dosent put all his Man United fans in the same oven, if you get my drift

Agree0 Disagree0

When football clubs purchase players, this cost is expensed and hits the P&L straight away, so it can't been seen as investment. As it says above, property is a long term investment where a profit can be realised from it's future valuation. whereas a player could break his legs and be deemed worthless at any time

Agree0 Disagree0

We have no profits, bates sold this seasons season tickets and advertising and all income last season to pay towards new boxes

Sorry about posting. Lasted a week of the month, which considering I read every day is a half decent effort. Hard to keep quiet when you read some of the posts. Does the person who posted below really believe reading will finish higher than us and are a better chance of promotion? God, I thought I was pessimistic. Think burke is too old to pay a fee for. Need someone young with potential to buy or prem player for short term impact. Hate international breaks

I didn't post below but I think reading will finish 10 to 15 points above us all day long!

Agree0 Disagree0

$10 they don't finish above us

Agree0 Disagree0

Whether they will or not who cares but they def should with there resources, parachute payments etc.
and there forward creativity frankly is far far better than ours.id swap le fondre, robson kanu and mcanuff for any of hunt/varney/smith or poleon. shrew leeds

Agree0 Disagree0

Succesful teams concede fewer goals not score them. We got better defense and manager. Time will tell

Agree0 Disagree0

They can finsih top for all I care, I just wanna be 2nd.

keep the faith peeps, because if we dont, we might as well all move to the amazon for the season

Agree0 Disagree0

Ausman whereabouts in Oz do you live I live on the Gold Coast and sorry but Reading will finish above us, you must really think so to because $10 is bugger all raise you $1000

What's the point of going for a 30 year old for 600k, when we can get someone younger like GMS who could be a lighter prospect to the future of our club.
