Greetings from Las Vegas guys. Mrs Integrity driving me crazy. Time to Houdini her and get me an athletic stripper. Wish Cellino would be as ruthless when it comes to making important changes.

Until the tempo from back to front improves it is pointless talking personnel changes. Firstly the rest of the team have to have faith in the defence then the "heavy metal" can apply.

My main concerns over the break would be to get the ball in the box, quickly and to shoot more, wingers, midfielders. Not mindless blasts but accurate tries. You could argue who is the best upfront but you have to feel sorry for a shooter who is not given any bullets

i am afraid it is time for me to start the sack the manager post. I liked uwe and wanted to give him a chance but he is clearly not good enough. for me a manager is bit like a teacher in that his class/team must always be improving, you need to get the best possible results and you can not make the same mistakes.

i thought he started well and sorted out defence and had the right idea going forward and in time it would click. our defence has got worse while our attack is still to slow in the movement of the ball and game plan. formation is not the mian problem, 442, 433, 4231 it would aall depend on the manager and how we played in this formation. so this starts the who will work with Mc arguement. answer is anyone who is looking for a job and not offered a better one else where. rodgers is not a good manager by any streatch woudlnt get him, I wouldn't want hi (a few ex pros I know well agree). dick advocat? maybe would he join. maybe, big sam I would love but don't think he is looking for work atm if he was he would work with mc as he would want to work. not sure who we would get and who we would be looking for but think we need a change our players are better than what the manager is getting from them

I'm with you BW
Having the same manager for so long is ridiculous!

good point aus. having the right manager for a long time is great but not had the right manager since grayson left. Keeping the wrong guy for a day longer than is needed can only be counter productive in the long run.

I'm more inclined to think we need to look to the players. Far too many of them have not got going yet this season. We probably all agree that on their day they can beat anyone, but I'm sick of waiting for that day to arrive. Not sure that is down to Rossler, or the formation. They need to start earning their wages imo!

The players don't look like they have any confidence in themselves or the formations they are given, Rosler can go on about changing this and that, but until he finds leadership on the pitch he will struggle to get the best out of them.

Got where you are coming from BW but I still think there has to be something your can do, I would give him another 4 games and then get rid if he does not get it sorted - that means we have a couple of months with Gus ( or who ever the new guy is) before the January window. I really hope it comes good but MC will need to draw the line at some point.

Bang on Speedy. Too many jump on the back of the manager after ONE bad result.

Big Sam will go to Sunderland. Rodgers will end up somewhere like Villa. Rosler has the international break to work harder (and work the players harder) than he has done before. We need to see more communication between the midfield and forwards once we're. In the final third and working harder once we lose the ball. Approach the next game with the same gameplan/mentality and conviction and he might be clearing his desk before Halloween.

i never jump on after one bad result (and let's be honest we have had a few this season already). I always try and look at a few things, game plan, patters of play, tatics and plan b and getting the most from the players. I don't think the players need to earn their money, I think the manager needs to get more from his players, look at pardew as palace look how he turned the same players around, look at big sam pulis etc they get the best. I have given uwe beinfit of doubt but too many mistakes for me, patters of play not good enough (moivng the ball to slow) and not getting anywhere near the best from tatics or players. give time if things are getting better, if progression is showing but let's be honest it has not been good enough and will it get better if we give another ten years. I don't think so, so why waste another day?

I'm with Speedy, I don't think it is all on the Manager. And MC hasn't helped by saying that he doesn't care where we finish this season. If the players and the manager have no pressure on them they aren't going to give 100%. They are no different to rest the working population, if we thought we could get away with only giving 80% effort in work, that's all we would give.

Methinks Rodgers will actually end up at Newcastle.

Big Mac has extra reason to feel very insecure.

What makes some people convinced 442 is the way to play? 443 works perfectly for Germany, Roslers home country. We have the players to play Roslers way but they are not performing consistently. Play is too slow and I don't mean the speed of the players, more that the ball is not being moved quickly enough. It is more like heavy legged football than heavy metal football at the moment.
It's funny, two games ago folk were saying it was a fairly decent start to the season, but after 2 defeats are crying out for a new formation or even a new manager. Personally I thought we did ok against Boro, the best side in the league, but were very pedestrian at the weekend. But does one bad performance mean everything that has been worked upon in training these last few months has be changed, coach included, and go back to 442 to appease those who believe that having 2 strikers means more goals?!
I believe that when the midfielders start chipping in with some goals and we get a top quality CB results will improve dramatically.
For me Dallas has been disappointing and Mowatt is way off his game. Murphy is not long back from injury and having missed pre season is off the pace at the moment. Cook is our only consistent midfield player.
So, can anyone explain how going 442 will improve our fortunes when we are already struggling with three players in midfield?

It's not 443. It's 433.

There's a vast difference between international football and the championship.

Also, don't know if you noticed but Germany has world class players demonstrated by the fact that they are the current world champions. As much as I love Leeds, we don't have world class players but you need better than what we have to pull it off. Our squad suits 442 better.

Compare like with like. Rosler will be fired by end of month imo.

Sorry, typing can be erratic. I do realize its 433 not 443, however, I believe formation is not the main problem. Out of form players is the problem. Also, on what basis is our squad better suited for 442 and is it only World champions who can play 433. Rosler believes in this system and imo should be given a chance to see how it develops. After all he has brought in many players to play such a system and trained accordingly.

George you said at the start of the season this squad would have us finishing about 9th I seem to remember. We knew then what formation Rosler would be playing. So are you telling me if he switched to 442 we are top a top 6 side?

You are right I did say this and still believe we can finish there. Stand by what I said.

As for 442, yes I think we would finish higher. This is how I see things. Goalkeeper good but poor on crosses. Will he improve this part of his play? No imo. He'd already have done that by now. Time to play Turnbull. Full backs. Could be best in league. Bamba loss of form will get it back takes time but it is also possible he has aged overnight to use a boxing term. I say former because I believe the whole 433 thing and silver vest has upset him. So Bamba is salvageable. Cooper improving. Adeyemi as good an old fashioned no.4 as you will get in this league. Cook very good player but also seems upset. He needs to be harnessed correct way. Want to see him develop more into a Gary Mac. Wingers we finally have them. Antenucci needs to play as withdrawn striker. Wood needs to come good. So it's a good first xi with capable replacements but we must play as a team with heart. All I see are players confused by their own weird playing style which is beyond them caused by a manager who is not keeping it simple enough especially at home. Top 6 is possible with correct changes and bit of good luck.
