Alright lads n lasses, it's Sunday I'm blotto (obvs) , fatty's sister is ignoring my advances agin (pmt) and I'm bored. Let's have some funny chants from the terraces. From the archives and without going too much into my pissed up memory banks I liked "does your boyfriend know you're here" away at Brighton and "you must have come on a skateboard" again with Brighton but at ER.

I remember many years ago, probably 40+ when the Lowfields Road stand stood on a mound of earth and the North East corner was still a dream in Manny Coussin's mind.
I cannot remember who we were playing but glancing to the left from the Kop, appearing from nowhere and standing on the earth mound next to the Lowfields was a large number of bus drivers and conductors resplendent in their regulation issued green macs and peaked caps. The conductors had their leather cash satchels hanging off their shoulders looking like facshist rent collectors.
All of a sudden, without any prompt, the chant came from the Kop as follows
Hello, Hello, Metro Agro, Metro Agro, Come and have a go at the Busmen Agro -Hello, Hello etc etc.
The chant went on for ages and then - all of a sudden they disappeared from the mound. They came and went like the Red Indians staging a ambush in a black and white Cowboy movie staring Alan Lad.
At full time, walking to the buses, what appeared to be smoke signals in the distant were actually plumes of diesel fumes from the numerous buses waiting to take the faithful back to the Calls and into town.
Happy Days
Metro Agro, Metro Agro.

Can anyone remember the first game back in the old First Division, Everton away? They must have been getting a right b**locking at half time as Nev Southall came out a good few minutes before anyone else and sat leaned up the goal post in front of our fans with "There's only one scruffy b**tard" ringing in his ears.

I wasn't there but it must have been live on tv.
What I can remember is when Southhall reacted like that after we had played so well in the first half, thinking, we might just have a decent side here!
