interesting that Pearce and Lees are modelling the new kit. last year it was Howson and Kisnorbo, captain and vice captain.

Last year it was Howson and OB mate

Think it was a rush job, needed 2 players who would be there next season Lees just signed again and Pearce just signed, wouldnt read to much it this, after all where we not suppose to be keeping the black away kit for another season.

How will lee Peltier be named a Leeds player tom,he commands a fee and until the takeover no transfers allowed unless freebies,and he ain't free.

Whoever is buying club will of put down a good will deposit, to show they mean buisness and can start to get things moving.I think we will not see really good buys until january. As new owners will of beded in by then. Hope i'm wrong and we can start getting real talent now.

Who said transfers are not allowed, there is no law on this. If both LUFC and potential purchaser agree, then there is no issue

After reading for the past mont I personally believe it is Mohamed al kalifa not a fact just my opinion as this was the guy who wanted to buy us when oleary was in charge and he is a Leeds fan after studying in England but the debt was too much to take on at the time hope it is him the man has some proper oil money for our kitty Leeds forever Gaz (west mids )

I know this is a site for us Leeds fans but i have to say Blackburn look impressively ambitious with the quality signings of Danny Murphy, Leon Best, veteran Portuguese international Nuno Gomes and young fellow countryman Fabio Nunes. I think we would have been delighted to of had any of these.
Can't wait till we start spending (touch wood) and I have to say been linked to Richard Keogh & DJ Campbell are exciting if they are indeed true.

Anyone noticed the new away kit is very similar to the Qatar royal family colour. Not a rumour just a thought

I posted about the Al Thani royal family last week. I didn't have any sources and admitted so. I just gave facts. They are wanting to boost their profile in the football world. They are desperate to make the 2022 World Cup a phenomenal event and are willing to plough shedloads of cash into lots of teams around the world to highlight themselves and to get a real insight into the running of football. They have been rumoured to be wanting to invest in Chelsea/Aston Villa (AFTER) purchasing Paris St Germain. Also Leeds and PSG have three things in common. One city club with big fan fase with over 7mill city population & have massive history, tradition, reputation.
I'm not saying it's definitely them but they should be considered serious contenders and coincidently the new kit is the Qatar royal families exact colour.

Pearce & Lees have commited themselves to Leeds. Snoddy has, yet, to do that.
I hope he does sign soon.

Ok here is my take on the rumours and banter going about The "takeover" investment isnt going to happen in the next few days my take on due dilgence is 30 days or more.
IF we were to get a mega rich Arab in the style of Manchester City things would have happened before now would they be argueing over a few million with Cuddly Ken if they really wanted us ?
My thoughts are it will be a buisness takeover with funds to get us back into the premier league were the real money is but they arent going to throw unlimited funds at the team but i would love to be proved wrong
The king of Bahrain etc is total rubbish remember the takeover has to approved as "fit and proper" person with there human rights and the unrest in Bahrain no chance.
I think a lot of wind ups are going on to generate fan frenzy but the one thing that is happening is Warnock is working on getting players in that will do a job getting us into the premier league

Man City were sold around a week after he made an offer, same with Chelsea, and they already began sealing mega money signings before it was complete. look at us now. very similar deals to before, maybe on a slightly higher budget. people need to stop building this up.

Fact just spoken to a friend who is an accountant and he says due diligance takes usually between 3-6 weeks if the books are in order hmmm lets hope they are

Also thinks its a little harsh to question other countries human rights acts when decent people in England get screwed over day in day out by the great human rights act whilst nonces and rapists get it to work for them

First post after reading these pages for weeks. Great site Ed and great to see some of the rumours posted. Like everyone else I am frustrated yet excited at the potential takeover, however was it not posted a while ago that during a takeover, a tranfer embargo is placed on the club preventing the signing of any players? I understand the Drury, Green signings as they are out of contract but would this not prevent us from signing Kenny, Peltier etc that apparently due to be completed shortly? May be a daft question but if this is the case, would this not indicate investment rather than a takeover? {Ed045's Note - I think it's been highly reported that it is infact a takeover but money could have been given as what we would call a 'deposit' to prove funds and commitment and that has been used on players to bring in. Just my opinion though, also Welcome!

Thanks Ed, makes sense! just hope that it is a takeover. Not one of the Bates out brigade as appreciate what he has done for the Club but do think he had run his course and should have been looking to sell up when we got to the championship if we didnt have the funds to compete which clearly we didn't. Incedentally, I don't profess to know anyone connected witith the club and although it has been reported, I still think the investment will come from the states rather than the middle east due to comments made by Bates in the past!

Several people over the weeks have suggested Ken Bates has sold Leeds due to pressure applied by LUST. Surely this drivel ? As if Ken Bates would do anything that LUST would say...

They haven't told him to, they have forced his hand.

What pressure from LUST, they are like a small fly to him. I admire what LUST are trying to do, but they have no influence with anyone at all and are beginning to annoy me with their attempt at trying to becomes the Fans voice and font of all knowledge.

LUST are the one good thing to happen to lufc in the last year or 2. They pointed out things that us normal fans wouldn't of had a clue with. They did there vision statement for the club and now we are starting to see progress. What did you do Mr first poster,to make a club better for the future. Thats right, jack didilly squat.

I find it odd that people can't criticize LUST without being jumped on. People are allowed their own opinion and whether you back LUST or not it doesn't make you less of a Leeds fan or less passionate. They represent the fans but not all fans will agree with all they are doing.

ED what do you make of the new statement made by LUST on SSN, does it make it look like the takeover is pretty much a definate and in your opinoin i would like you to say how long you think this may take to be announced.

If it is true that Adam Clayton going to the terriers which I personally feel is unfortunate, it does appear to be because we couldn't offer him the contract he wanted initially which is why Neil put him on transfer list. I think had Adam stayed and played for his position with the new squad around him he would have been looking at a far better contract with us in the PL than he ever would have hot at Huddersfield. So he hasn't looked at the bigger picture.Philbramley

The thing is clayton is a decent squad player but its just that warnock doesnt fancy him.some managers will like grayson but for some reason he doesnt.otherwise i think he would def stay..shrew leeds

Clayton does not figure in Warncocks plans, hence decision to transfer list him.

Hes not that good, under warnocks system hes exposed as being distinctly average when he actually has to do some work, when Howson was alongside him, Howson did all the grafting and Clayton got all the credit for the goals
