Mowatt signs 3 1/2 year deal - Well done, says his family is proud of him and is excited about playing in front of 25,000 - I think most Leeds fans are proud to have him here and hopefully he may have to get used to playing in front of 30,000+ every week

I am proud of him for showing faith and commitment to leeds united and all of the faithful and committed supporters to leeds united M0T, Joy.

Hi, i'm a Sheff Weds fan. Warnock has been linked with our vacant managers job and a few fans are talking about him saying he will get us playing well and with passion. From what my friends told me he made your team quite soulless and his tactical knowledge was non existant but you guys saw it first hand and I was just wondering what your thoughts on Warnock are.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Trust me pal you don't want him his tactics are way out of date(hoof ball) rather than playing to win he likes to play not to lose lol

Arrogant, witless and clueless! If anybody else is short sighted enough to employ him again GOD HELP YOU!

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think he'll get you playing well, unless you consider hoofball attractive football. He might get you playing with passion (or kicking everything that moves as it's otherwise known) in the early days but you'll see his true colours when the chips are down. He'll soon start slagging off his own players in the press. A good manager takes the flack for a bad result and tries to take pressure off the team. Not Warnock and his ego. He's no more than a big snouted playground bully.
A good example of how knowledgeable this clown is was when he wouldn't resign Ross Berkley on loan as he couldn't guarantee him a game. Look at the boy now! Ross Berkley or Michael Brown (no disrespect) but you do the maths!

Only my opinion of course.

Mad Mick

Mr hoofball will defo take you DOWN . Enough said.

Poor player man management - split the first team from squad and squad from juniors - not 'inclusive' and saps players confidence - bollockings in public - blames every one else than himself. Affluent so not that bothered anymore - and hates wednesday? everyone knows that - should never work in the game again - except for a kinds team in cornwall for some fun IMO

I understood that Warnock was once quoted as saying that if he was ever appointed as Wednesday Manager he would sign every available useless player on long term contracts paying the highest wages and sit back and watch it happen - sounds like a great idea to me - bring it on!

Agree0 Disagree0

Did that exact thing at Leeds! He's a joke and if I was a Wendies fan I would handing my Season Ticket back!

He had Townsend and Barkley on loan last season and sent both back saying that he could not guarantee than 1st team football - enough said - Not to mention the handling of Becchio.

Agree0 Disagree0

His only redeeming feature was his love child (paddy kenny) and no the wendies can't have him!

Wasn't townsend on loan at qpr last season?

Agree0 Disagree0

London Leeds fan here. I live near QPR, and occasionally take my daughter there. When Warnock was in charge they were solid, competitive, hard to grind down, and Taarabt worked well for them. I hoped the same might happen when Warnock came to LUFC. It's possible that having Bates as chairman didn't help him too much. I think it might be a mistake to base your opinion on what went on during his time here. It was utter crap, though; and it is also possible that he IS past-it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Old. Clueless. Megalamaniac. Animal. Braindead. don't get me started. Bloke is a wander!

Agree0 Disagree0

SWFC fan back again. I think its fair to say you didn't like the chap then :) Thanks for the comments I will point this out to the fools on our page who want him in. Good luck for the rest of the season, you look to have a good manager in Brian McDermott now. Hopefully we can find someone as good as him

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd be more concerned that when he managed the Blades he famously said he would love to manage Wednesday just to see them relegated. Joking or not, in the position you are in he would be a terrible choice.
But the again your previous manager was such a lovely man.

Agree0 Disagree0

He didn't send Townsend back it was couple of seasons ago and Townsend sent himself back to go play for Birmingham if I remember rightly was just after Grayson left

I know it's early days for Zaliukas yet but I was adament at the beginning of the season that we needed an experienced, solid centre back, infact I put in on here on several occasions, needless to say it looked like I was right!

No, I am not after brownie points, just stating a point as so much crap get's talked on here, although I must say the more recent posts have been a breath of fresh air. I won't be holding my breath for this to last though, as the transfer window opens in a month so god knows what will have to put up with come then, especially now we will supposedly have money to spend, cue the Messi, Falcao & Ronaldo rumours. zzzzzz.

A good win last night against a team although low on confidence/direction but still had quality players. Despite Wigan's possession they struggled to cause problems for us in the final third which showed how well we defended as a team. Zaliukas and Pearce were the pick of the defenders with Peltier and Pugh putting in good defensive shifts. The two central midfielders worked their socks off, this was definately Murphy's best game for Leeds. Smith was a nuisance to the Wigan defence all game (I will forgive him for the missed chance) and defended well at corners and Ross was different class

i think if we sign a striker as cover for mccormack it has to be billy sharp .
as a partner for mccormack could be becchio could be the answer if fit .

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Becchio and mccormack have never worked well together.

We need to move on!
Becchio has gone and has now little match fitness

Agree0 Disagree0

Not Becchio. They never played well together and with 3-4-3 we need to attack quicky and Becchio was starting to slow down the last season with us.

Now we have a goal scorer it shows how important another striker is. One injury and we could be back to 0-0.

Warnock & Diouf available in January. Will save a hefty chunk of wages that will be put into egg heads kitty.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not sure if he will let Warnock go?
