My mate Neil Walker who knows Simon Grayson says that half the Leeds team are taking Zumba lessons in the evening to help with their fitness

Arca being linked with leeds amongst other clubs, if he could rediscover form of a couple of seasons ago would be a good signing. Good passer with a sweet left foot and only 30 according to ssn thought he was much older

SSN is reporting that Julio Arca is on Leeds' radar along with a host of other Championship clubs. He has had problems, but he is a good technical player and good at set pieces. Versatile.

thoughts....... I think we would go for 2 strikers if Becchio was fit, but i wouldn't start with Paynter. Think O'Dea wont dislodge either of CB's. He has only just arrived and wont dislodge Parker either tmrw. Plus, he is a CB really.

If you go on to the sky sports transfer centre and click on the story " Arca options open up " it went on there at 15:20 today, anyway on it it says Leeds have expressed an interest in him so maybe he is one of the trialists tomorrow.

Why is Alex Bruce not at all in the first team plans ( playing at Farsley tmrw)? I prefer him to Bromby at least and he is senior to Lees. Is is game over for him as a LUFC player or is he playing at Farsley after a knock to regain fitness?

Might be to add an old head amongst the likes of the Turner brothers in defence, he wont start against Southampton so it's okay to leave him out maybe?

Yeah possibly so, if he won't play it may be better to let him guide the young guns. Just hope he hasn't been frozen out. We might need him down the line.

Kisnorbo - First season back after injury: you dont know if he will be back to his old self

1) So you're current set up picks up injuries which is more than foreseable - who backs up your cover?? Your squad lacks depth and quality in its depth

2) That quote about Kisnorob proves nothing - i will agree i he is a 'Solid' defender (not the best in the CCC where he is relatively untested apart from his years with Leicester which resulted in him not making the team and being sold to you guys in League 1). But the point is 'when fit' - you dont know how his new fitness will fair in a tougher league

3) And remind which behemoth teams did you play in Pre-season: bradford and Scottish failures. Not exactly a big stage

Was this ipswich fan at elland rd when we played them last year. They just put ten men behind the ball at all times. Fair enough they got a point but only just. Didn't see too much ambition and uv lost the only player who looked half decent and what have you done with the millions u got for wickham? Chairmans back pocket?

Sky dont know what they are talking about predicting us to finish 11th because i would be suprsed if we dont make top 10, yes we probably wont get automatic but still i reckon we have a shot at playoffs, it just saddens me to see teams that we use to laugh at are getting higher predictions but i trust in Grayson and i think if we dont get top 10 he will be sacked unfortunately by the one whos fault it would be

Like you sed prediction, leeds will always be predicted to finish lower than what there capable of because nobody likes us BUT WE DONT CARE.

They predicted us 17th last year. So lets hope that means we'll finish 6 places better again ;)

Well it all starts tomorrow. C'mon Leeds let's have a good start. Hopefully SG will show what a master tactician he is. If not then all the doubters on here get ready to have a field day

I have to help my son move tomorrow otherwise I'd be down at ST Mary's (albeit in the Southampton end with family) but my heart is with Leeds. I am also gutted I have to steward a festival from 5pm to 8pm so can;t watch the game on TV either.

But I will have my laptop to keep up with the action, and now can't wait for the kick off.....

I like the reply re the ' i have a brain to engage, deal with that'. Nice comeback, made me couple. I am original poster. I would say:

a) I wouldn't moan about all signings...just those who i don't rate, suprisingly.

b) List of players who I would have liked to have had at least a chance of signing-

Bowyer
Danns

Andrews
D. Nugent
K.Lua Lua
A.Reid
Shackell


All players we should have a reasonable chance of attracting. I am aware that some of these players have turned us down, notably Bowyer.

Fair play to you mate. A decent list above, to which I would personally add Darren Pratley and Ricky Lambert. All I am saying is give the new signings a chance. I can remember people asking why we wanted someone who couldn't get a game for Leicester when we signed Gradel; look at him now. Last summer Connolly was ripped apart by Leeds fans before he'd kicked a ball for us and went on to have a very decent season.

When all's said and done, we all want the same thing. So let's March On TOGETHER.

Agree, We all want the same thing. Was just being honest in saying that I haven't been really inspired by the signings thus far. Must say, I don't think that it is SG's fault( KB). You are right though, big, well known signings are not always the way. You are correct re Gradel, great signing who Leicester just didn't nurture. I hope that we can overcome the relative lack of big signings and at least make play offs. Maybe some of the young players will come through, and Nunez will be as good as we all hope. We do have the nucleus of a good squad and furthermore, it's all about SG who is a shrewd and talented coach. Lets hope it's a good season.
