Evening All, Bit early I know, but who do you fancy for first game next season? Think we will start away, how about Wolves just up the road for me, or better still Norwich. MOT

According to newsnow LUFC still owe money to :-

David Haigh
Andrew Flowers
Paul Hunt

MC paid GFH £6 million last month and has to pay another installment of £3 million this month as part of the deal.
Im guessing that's on top of all the tax debts he was left with, no wonder he's taking his time buying ER back who knows what other gremlins are in the cupboard.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

This is why I don't get why some are saying he's backing out on his pledge to buy the ground and TA, he's got so much more pressing stuff first like getting us on an even keel, neither are going to go anywhere or get sold elsewhere. I get that we've been lied to so many times but this time feels so different and if anything he can be TO honest

Let's not forget another issue we have to deal with. Morison loaned to Millwall will be returning to our club any day now.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think milwall will probably look to sign him permanently, he kept them up this year- I thought he looked pretty good towards the end of the season. don't want him still hanging around next yer though!

On this day in 2003 my beloved football team travelled to the Emirates with only goal difference keeping us out of the relegation zone. Harte, Kewell and Viduka saw off Henry and Bergkamp and we kindly handed the title to United and ensured our survival that season. Fast forward 11 years and with a new owner who seems happy to spend a bit, a captain who scores a bit and a wonderful set of fans who shout a bit, the future looks a bit bright - er. In Massimo we trust - and he can play the guitar a bit.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Remember it well Philippa. 2 great goals from the antipodean duo. especially the Duke's winner - as cool as you like!
Seems like only yesterday. Can't believe that was 11 years ago - a sign of age and/or a major drink problem.

Happy summer hols everyone. I expect to see you all back for pre season training on 1st July with plenty of gossip and whacky rumours. Please don't eat and drink too much (not me) we've got a big season coming up!

Mad Mick is it time to dry clean the shell suit, drip dry the white cotton slip on's and perhaps dress down a bit with say! Some cotton based joggers and hoodies till pre season starts in earnest as hopefully the pre season is when the party for LEEDS UTD starts again in earnest! Hopefully these boards will be WHITE hot in comming weeks with gossip either true or totally false .
So keep up the excellent work ed 13, 03 and et al and all fellow LEEDS fans best site by far

And a very happy summer holidays to you too Mad Mick - see you for pre-season :o)

It's only a rumour but I've heard micks she'll suit will have to be scraped and peeled off, I think a dry clean would be just too much for it to take.
Therefore I'm suggesting we have a whip round and buy mad mick a new one, sadly it will be VERY hard to match his old suit and mick might be a tad upset so if we get enough money a bottle of old spice should put a smile on his face!!
Have a good summer everyone ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

And that's a great idea. The original was only £5.99 and the old spice was lobbed in as a deal breaker. Apparently Fat Stan has a warehouse full of them but can't get shut as they contain asbestos!

My mate used to wear one to work, but he stood too close to the open flame heater whilst talking and they went up like a rocket. Stupid thing was he still wore the thing for another 6 months all melted and crinkly!
If only he had fat stans no

Reading between the lines on the sky interview it seems to me that MC will not want Brian as manager for next season he said things like; "Me and Brian have to sort it out very fairly and in a sporting way." I will be surprised if the manager for next season is not Italian.

Thinking about how many of current squad could be part of a promotion chasing squad. Probably think that McCormack, Smith, Byram, Mowatt and to a lesser extent Murphy and Pearce are good enough. Watching Lees yesterday I felt that he took no responsibility as he constantly passed marking responsibility to his colleagues whilst he marked fresh air. However he is not the only player not to cut the mustard. The goal we conceeded yesterday demonstrated that players are scared to take responsibility and gamble that the ball may fall loose from the keeper. It is easier to stand still with your hand in the air and blame the linesman or keeper for not making the save

Yay I'm registered! Long time reader of the site and love it, so top job Ed 13 as work, family (kids especially) take much of anyone's time let alone running a fan site as an editor! Pft the banter you must of seen but could post! Haha. So dedication my friend and sure no one would disagree

I might do a survivor and say I know this or that but at the end of the day I don't and survivor is probably more in the know than me or most. I know an ex player from Rothwell and an ex Leeds player who is more interested in motorcycle racing and living at the coast than football (Batty will never be involved in football! Quote Survivor on it) Smithy the bmx And Batty the motor lol.

I met Shearer, Teddy, Batts, Lee (underated and never capped I don't think?) Shilton and Eddie Gray don't count because it was awards lol.

See our old winger played a blinder again yesterday at old trafford. dear dear Brian.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Marco
He crossed the ball for Larsson to score at old Trafford it's what wingers do?
I'm as upset as anyone how we have performed this season but MC is in charge now mate, let's move on and if BMD is good enough he will stay, if MC has no confidence in him he will get his p45.
Let's support MC and whoever takes to the pitch, negativity won't help anyone anyone.

Before moving to aus I was from essex. Yet supported leeds cause I got into football late 60s early 70s and they were the best around. From south but chose northern team. Do kids from leeds choose to support man city or chelsea or liverpool rather than leeds?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes. Lots of them.

04 May 2014 08:52:17
Yeah, too many at moment mate! Its sad to see mainly Liverpool and chelsea tops in town, makes my blood boil!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes they do

Agree0 Disagree0

Aren't they just doing the same as you though Ausman? Surely you can't be critical of them when you chose Leeds over your local team?

My ex bought once my son a Peter Schmeichel shirt, probably to wind me up, but I nipped that one in the bud. I bought him a season ticket.
