Had to watch last game from home today but when ross was one on one I knew he'd try a chip but when he did I thought what an person. Then he spills it and it goes in then I spill my beer on the laptop and then the missus spills the ashtray running to get a cloth! Not even a joke. Vinny, MOT.

am I the only one confused by the becchio morisson transfer deal why did norwich want luciano and then don't play while we signed a player who isn't fit. have I missed something?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think both teams would take back the deal. They've wasted 3 million and we've got an unfit player. It's ruined our season and hopfully it will ruin theirs

Agree0 Disagree0

If it wasn't for Habib-who and buying Hall only to never play him, then this deal would be the worst of the season. as it is, it's the 3rd - possibly 2nd worst so that gives you an indication of how successful our squad re-build has been.

Mr Happy

Agree0 Disagree0

Becchio was made a scape goat!

You only have to look who was in charge most of the season to answer your question, thank f**k he's history!

I can't beleieve I read that Bates has said he was going to sack Warnock but GFH made him keep him on! This is the same Bates that appointed him in the first place?

Agree0 Disagree0

Becchio wasnt a scapegoat, he was a greedy *******

Agree0 Disagree0

"Becchio wasnt a scapegoat, he was a greedy *******"

Becchio was loyal to Leeds right up to the point that Warnock started messing around with him, at that point Becchio probably decided that if the hassle wasn't worth it, especially when he could earn much more elsewhere. Can't say I blame him to be honest, he didn't jumps ship he was pushed overboard.

Worst part about it was how Warnock would let a proven scorer leave in a virtual straight swap for an unfit player who hadn't scored in some time and has provided very little for Leeds since he's been here?

I think that poleon will become a great player when he's older got pace, runs the channels and doesn't mind a tackle, well done lad

Believable0 Unbelievable0

04 May 2013 19:32:47
Yeah poleon played great today good to see we have some future stars
Well played to everyone who's followed the boys this season
Lets hope next season is the season we've all been waiting for and deserve

M. O. T

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Poleon looked a bit like Beckford today - apart from the fact he actually went looking for the ball as well!

Agree0 Disagree0

And his finish wasn't easy. Ok it was an open goal but a ball running away from him and an aute angle is never easy. Well done Dom

Poleon like Becford!
he's twice what Beckford was at his best, just give him a chance to show it

lets give thanx to our departing chairman and thank him for the great job he has done. we were 14th in the championship when he took over the club and its amazing that from that position he has left us in 13th place. FORGET we reached the playoff final in the season he took over, FORGET he took us into administration and had 10pts deducted, FORGET THE 15 POINTS we had taken off us for breaking league rules, FORGET relegation to the 1st division, FORGET we stayed there for 3 long years, FORGET he sold our best players, FORGET prem prices for prem football, FORGET the kids walking around leeds in man city and Chelsea tops, FORGET he called loyal leeds fans people for disagreeing with him. all leeds fans who disagree with what he did don't understand the business world and all those that agree with what he did are clever people who can see something that others just can't see. I just pray when I get my season ticket I am not sat next to or anywhere near one of these clever leeds fans.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well said. Its an interseting question
Do people bates and more recently warnock seriously set out to do good for their wage payers? Or do they think we don't count and that it dosent matter what 20000-500000 supporters worldwide think. I think bates and warnock are dispicable characters and karma exists. Gfh and mcd Your turn

Agree0 Disagree0

Forget that we were massively in debt when he came. Forget that we are now debt free. Forget that he gave his managers complete free reign over comings and goings and had nothing to do with the football side of things. Forget that the fifteen point deduction was punative punishment for the fact that the club rightly exploited the rules over administration. Forget the people that have no understanding of the business side of football and remember that Bates has done a good job for this club, leaving us financially sound and in a position to go on and get promotion.

Forget money owed to ticketus. forget 1.5 million loan from enterprise. forget making any money from sold off stadium catering. BUT PLEASE GFH FORGET Bates AS PRESIDENT

Agree0 Disagree0

We are far from debt free matey

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sorry but were you happy when snodgrass was sold, gradel, becchio, Delph, danny rose, Howson, schmiecel, beckford and Johnson were all sold. He may have taken on our debts but he could have done so much more for us and in the not so long term himself. If he kept half of those players we would have been in the premier league let alone all of them. He could have then sold the club and he would have been 100 million or more better off. Really no leeds fan can truly say they have been happy with his reign. How can kids go from looking up to beckford, gradel etc then to Nunez, brown, tonge etc he's a disgrace and he's the reason why kids don't follow leeds united and instead watch chelsea. Being a kid I would know it is almost impossible to watch our dire football when in league one we were playing better. He is to blame for this

Agree0 Disagree0

04 May 2013 18:55:48
problems is some of us never forget the misery bates has put us through. a couple of lucky goals will not change that. see you in 3 years when the old vultchers gone. I know 2 people who lost there businesses because of bates folding, the man is absolute disgrace. but where debt free but he's morally bankrupt
gaz1966

Agree0 Disagree0

The only things Bates has really done wrong were not to sack Grayson when he should have done. I think he genuinely liked Grayson and allowed his good nature to overcome his business sense for once. His second mistake was to employ Warnock, however there were an awful lot of people thought this was the right move so he is not entirely to blame for that. I have no time for the so called fans that want to moan about Bates. The problems we have experienced are completely down to the incompetence of our managers. They were given full control over the team and the way it played and who came and went. If good players left it was because they saw no future under the management structure, they were not sold by Bates. There is a ridiculous argument that says Bates was lining his pocket through the sale of players, however, if this was true why were Beckford, Johnston and Kilkenny allowed to walk away on frees when we could have got at least 3 million for them. That isn't small beer even for someone like Bates. The reason is the manager believed they were worth keeping for the season even if they walked at the end. Grayson would not have been allowed to do that if Bates was trying to make money. I am afraid none of the anti Bates nonsense has any validity and I hope all those that hold those views find another club to support because they clearly don't support Leeds and frankly, do we really want them at our club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said original poster. Let's hope we now after all these years something to look forward and something to be proud of. And that's the name of LEEDS UNITED.

Agree0 Disagree0

What so you blame the fact we lost our best players on previous managers despite the fact these previous managers built their teams round them like warnock was doing with snodgrass. And considering most leeds fans hate ken bates with a passion because of what he was doing to our club you would want at least 3 quarters of all leeds fans to support another team which is utter nosense.

Agree0 Disagree0

So if you were running leeds you would honestly be like bates. Enough said

Agree0 Disagree0

You have also FORGOTTEN the disrepute he bought us into (and took money out of us for) with regards his court cases?

Agree0 Disagree0

Forget the people that have no understanding of the business side of football? You patronising person. I'm a businessman mate, a very successful one at that and I don't think I'm the only fan who understands business. I know loads of business men and women who support Leeds.

Bates did not save this club - he put the club into administration then having acquired it debt free for nothing, left it perilously close to going under again. Check the accounts if you can read a balance sheet. Bates is the worst thing to have happened to Leeds in the 51 years I've been on this planet. Warnock wasn't far behind.

Agree0 Disagree0

We are not debt free. season tickets sales for the net 3 years will pay for the east stand improvements. haigh said in the daily mail, ken bates believes he saved the club, not that he did. I don't know to be honest but I have been told the administraters could not legaly close down a business worth 10m , if they did the crediters could take them to court. they would have to basically screw the fans and sell our best asscets to get rid of the debt, sound familiar.

Agree0 Disagree0

Op here, you might be a businessman but you don't understand sarcasm if your post was directed at me

I for one am glad Barnsley stayed up, we have been ridiculed by them far too often, its about time we turned the tables on them next season.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Also good to see the terriers stay up, the more Yorkshire teams the better in the championship next year. Bring on the yorki derbies and bring the crowds back to ER.
MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

I could see quite a few of the star players from the relegated teams coming our way.
For the much needed winger Albert adomah, young, fast and has been a stand out player this season
Kevin Doyle could be a target as he is a proven goalscorer and has done alright this season
Bakary sako is another player, powerful, young, quick and strong just what we need

Agree0 Disagree0

A team who hate leeds with a passion, fans who sing about istanbul and abused and spat at my partner and 2 young kids for wearing leeds coats in tarn these c ts are worse than millwall, barnsley white

Agree0 Disagree0

Concerns me how many Yorkshire derbies there'll be, we always seem to lose them!

Well that's the end of another poor season!
On the bright side I thought we were brilliant today defensively and paddy was fantastic (maybe we should forget about the Colin love child for a bit)
Overall we have been poor up the park all season allowing our defence to be under strain for most of the match.
Maybe when we have wingers and a bit of creative spark in the centre, like we had when we got promoted it could be our year next year.
To round off though, great display today to the lads!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Must admit I have been one of Paddy's biggest critics this season, but he had a good game today, just a shame he hasn't played like that all season!

I think Michael Brown should change sport, he's just soo bad at football

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Michael brown isn't bad but he ain't far from it

Del Boy

Agree0 Disagree0

I think McDermott was embarrassed how Brown got a player sent off when no physical contact was made whatsoever.

I was just waiting for Brown to get himself sent off again!

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't know why people are complaining about troy deeney's challenge brown had to jump out the way or he could of broke his leg. Anyway it's a booking if someone raises there leg above waist height so stop complaining its the same with the player nani.

I know that not all of these are possible but I would love it if we could sign most of these players:
Martyn Waghorn leicster city striker
Alex Baptiste Blackpool center back
Chris Burke Bermingham right midfield
Matt Phillips Blackpool right wing
Eric Lichji Aston Villa right back
Alex Pearce reading center back
Carlton Cole West ham united striker
Danny Simpson Newcaslts right back
Frank Lampard Chelsea center midfield
Thomas Ince Blackpool left/right winger
Kevin Doyle wolves striker
I don't know if they all at of contract but I heard they all are out of contract so most of them would be amazing.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Lampard's salary is the entire budget for our first 11! stop it.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's a lot of players on the right- don't you rate Byram?

Agree0 Disagree0

I posted tis and I rate byram as one of the best but I just through if we push byram up or play one off them in center back and again I rate byram as amazing

Agree0 Disagree0

There are probably two, maybe three off that list that MIGHT come. most could do a job in the premier league so no chance!

I was absolutely blown away by Andy Hughes interview with RITGK (Right In The Gary Kellys) What an absolute star and definite LUFC legend. I've never heard an ex player speak with that much pride about his time with LUFC. And stated any player who is offered the chance to come to Leeds and doesn't come is an person was brilliant. Andy Hughes in our eyes you are an absolute legend

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well said, I have to agree

Agree0 Disagree0

If he gets offerend a deal of course he will who u kidding lol

Agree0 Disagree0

We got given compensation because he trained with us as a youth, he didn't want to sign a pro deal with us and chose barca instead. Nothing we can do when a player don't wanna stay
