Now the Pearce deal is sorted I think we need:
Another centre back with Lees as cover, Matt Mills?
A right back possibly Halford?
Maybe a left back depending on White signing a new contract.
Two Centre midfielders with Brown as back up.
Two quick, intelligent wingers with one on the bench.
And a striker possibly Beckford?
And a good impact substitution who can get the job done when he comes on.

EveryOne complaining about wages , have you heard the ruling by the FA for next year, no players in the championship can be on anything higher than 20k, so the highest wage you can pay a player in the championship is 20k, so don't have to worry about all this he might want 25k and stuff cause it won't be happening. 20k highest- check FA website if you don't believe me

What if a player is already under contract to be payed £20k + it's unlikely that they will sign for another club for less money.

At LUFC 9k is considered too high for Clayton & White so I don't think we need worry about anyone asking for 20k.

Setting a wage ceiling of 20K ain't gonna happen no matter what the clubs have recently voted into effect. One reason - Restraint of trade. The Euro courts will kick it into touch...

I've checked both the FA and FL web sites, neither mention this or any wage cap as far as I can see.

I was very happy when NW was apointed because I knew it would be an exciting transfer market for leeds. people that say SG was unfairly sacked is ridiculous because the time Grayson was here he never sorted the defence out, Warnock comes in and is determined to sort it out.

Very happy with the signing of Jason Pearce. Really good and promising defender. I hope now we really knuckle down and get Paddy Kenny, Matt Mills, New Left Back and possibly New Right Back, Paul Green, Joel Ward, Peter Whittingham, El Hadji Diouf, Jermaine Beckford, Simon Cox.

I've already told you Tomasz Kuszczak will be coming. He was livid that he wasn't allowed to come on loan.
He definitely will NOT be joining Watford where he was loaned out and I suspect Warnock will use he eagerness to join us to get him on a good contract.

I think El Hadj Diouf is a stupid signing, every fan hates him. Pearce is a quality signing and exactly what we need in our back 4. The rumours about whittingham are definetley not going to come to anything, but would be a great signing. I just want a recognised goal scorer, lets get the fans excited MOT.

And this is a stupid post,every fan does not hate him,we used to be renowned for having nasty,uncompromising players,hes just one of em,if NW can get the best out of him,he could be a cracking signing,Diouf has said he would love to come to Leeds,and NW didnt rule it out,so dont be suprised if hes our next signing.

Becchio and macormack too inconsistent. McCormack is either feast or famine. Both miss too many chances and lack pace. They haven't done a bad job and one or other could be better with a different partner. We have to do better in this department.

Feast or famine? every goal scorer goes through dry spells. mccormack scored 19 goals and had a dry spell of 7/8 games. thats not that bad. becchio has consistently scored goals over the past few years.

Neither has pace,we do need a different option,someone who can run onto a throughball and be away

correct me if im wrong somebody but i believe that the reported 500k that bates has allowed to be spent on pearce is the most he has allowed for a single transfer in his whole time at leeds?

I find the most surprising thing is that apparently we paid it all in one go rather than spread over time. {Ed001's Note - I think that is part of the FFP rules isn't it? To stop situations like Portsmouth, that were brought on by paying for Redknapp's signings over long periods of time.}

If Diouff won't fit into the wage structure then no Diouff, Izale mcleod or Neil Mellor will do. Also I believe after the way the fans treat him last week Beckford would accept a reasonable pay deal to come back.

He he just teasing . If Diouff wants too much we'd still be fine when Somma gets back.
I would promote Poleon to the first team, see how it goes for him also George Boyd would be a tempter.
