GFH need to be brought to task as well as Haigh. They stated categorically haigh's arrest had nothing to do with Leeds United yet an article has come out today stating Haigh is being questioned over alleged fake invoices totaling 3 million quid (would explain our huge monthly losses) and these were paid to third parties of the companies performing the actual services (slightly dodgy) but here's where GFH can be criticized those involved concern projects which Haigh named Athena, Bremner and Offside and are ALL to do with football and ALL to do with Leeds United. Which means Bates lied as well - selling only to people who had our best interests at heart. All want locking up. Haigh already is of course (18 days and counting) but my opinion is he's just a fall guy for a bank who double crossed him once he double crossed them. GFH have some xplaining.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think you will find they actually said it had nothing to do with Celino's purchase of Leeds United, rather than nothing to do with Leeds United itself?

I agree GFH need looking at though, they don't seem to be contributing anything to the debts that Massimo is paying off despite being co-shareholders?

Even if they only hold 10% (for instance) of the shares then they should be paying off 10% of the debts? And where are the other share holders?

I am sure they'll all be looking for their dividends once we reach the promised land?

GFH comments at best disingenuous, worst fraudulent and could affect their Bahraini parent. One of the invoices was for a project examining Cellino credentials so there's the purchase of Leeds United. Second if these invoices are dodgy that will affect Cellino contract to purchase Leeds United! One of thinks of price and fraud tends to affect everything! GFH are liars.

Ok, I know I'm going to get shot down but here goes. Ross had a great season, but I don't remember him setting the world on fire in previous years. Ok he had some good patches but whether previous managers could'nt get the best out of him, or he lacked fitness, motivation, played in wrong position, had to play to suit Becchio. I don't know, what we can say is there is no guarantee he will continue to perform to such a high level.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

McCormack is a quality player but he over achieved last season whilst playing for a poor team. What happens if he stays and has an average season like previous years or gets injured? It pains me to say but the squad could be vastly improved if a transfer fee of 8 Million is invested in the team. We cannot continue to rely on one player.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where's this 8 mill coming from? More like 4 at the most payed in several stages

Agree0 Disagree0

Reports suggested Newcastle were offering 8 Million. It was also reported that Cardiff offered 6 million in January. If that is the case we should not accept a paultry 4 million bearing on mind he has 3 years on his contract and Palace spent 6 mil on gayle. Higher your expectations fella

Agree0 Disagree0

6m up front then 2m performance based - If Ross wants out we can't turn that down

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jun 2014 09:16:12
sflu , you talk some rubbish, already turned down 6m, he is worth whatever MC says he's worth, and like he says, we do not need to sell anyone

Agree0 Disagree0

He has 3 years left on his contract therefore you will have to pay more because Leeds don't have to sell him.

I have previously given my views on the potential transfer activity for us in my last couple of posts.Today I got to wondering about potential flies in the ointment. This was largely in light of the david haigh debacle.Firstly let me say he is innocent until proven guilty, and I will be interested to hear his version of events. While he may indeed have acted wrongly and I use this term advisedly, I do not believe the bank are whiter than white, the certainly shafted us in chasing short term profit.I would not be at all surprised to discover david haigh has been set up and used as a scape goat.Massimo Cellino has already said the books at Leeds are full of irregularities, so one thing is for certain we have been victims of creative accounting. My concern here is to do with our frozen account, if mc'sdefence is accepted that the money has come from illegal activity, and given fact daid haighs assets have been frozen, will that mean we still can't access money from club account, which impacts upon wages and transfers. That would mean either having to repay that money, but to whom, or we could be in somewhat of a bind.Iam sure ther are some legal eagles on here amongst us leeds fans who could possibly shed some light on possible impliations. My other concern is how much impact can our minority shareholders have, and could any messing around on their part delay off field progress further than their mismanagement already has.I hope this fear is unfounded, but years of mismanagement greed and short termism has left us in this mess.At last we seem to have an owner who understands that while doing it properly you need to speculate to accumulate. In other words to access the riches of the premiership investment is needed on the playing side. Finally for this diatribe I see many people get flustered by survivor. To me, and I know I joked in my last post at his expense, he is as entitled to post what he likes as long as it is not offensive, which it does not seem to be.on the face of it a lot is made up and possibly his real friend is mystic meg hence being wrong so often.Seriously though a lot of people put on made up rumours be it wishful thinking or wanting to spark a debate.Take it for what it is harmess fun, it does not hurt any of us nor does the continual name dropping, I treat it as entertainment.I don't let it get to me, there is enough going on past and present at the club with all the mismanagement we have suffered recently and our diabolical results after Christmas.Iknow it won't happen but the players that let us down should have a whip round and pay for a full house to watch our first home game next season allocated on first come first served basis, and season ticket holders getting partial refund to allow for one game less charged for. Well its nice to dream.Ok lads and lasses rant over

Have you read the article about DH allegations, . sounds like he had some sort of MI5 fantasy going on, 'Project Looper', 'Project Offside', 'Project Spectator' and 'Project Athena'. David Hague, . the poor mans James Bond.

Funny.

I would like to know if haigh is in the clink can the winding up case be held without him being present and if so how does this effect transfer dealings wages

Believable0 Unbelievable0

In my view the winding up order will definitely be adjourned and with the Haigh investigation likely to take some considerable time it would not be reasonable for the clubs bank account to remain frozen

Poleon hoping for goals? Hoping for appearances more like. If we lose Ross then we need a couple of class strikers to replace him. Need two 20 goal a season strikers and Smith isn't one

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thought Smith improved no end by the end of last season, with a decent team around him he could well get 20+ goals next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think you need to give all the newer/younger Leeds players time to prove themselves?

Some of us have been around since the 60's and we know miracles don't happen overnight?

The likes of Hunt, Kebe, etc, should never have been bought to Leeds, but let's not knock the raw talent we produce along the lines of Lennon, Delph, Byram, Milner, and even finding people like Beckford, Bechio, etc?

Stop kicking and knocking, and look at what is happening?

The crap with Haig seems to indicate (allegedly) just how many people have got away with murder at Leeds, I just hope Celino will take his time, get it right and then reap the rewards or promotion (hopefully without the leeches of GFH onboard!)?

One, two, three years? I can wait, if I know it's putting my team back where it belongs, not just for a year or two, but for the rest of my lifetime, however short that may be.

Agree0 Disagree0

Alongtime
Nicely put just wish we had the Delphs-Milners-Lennons etc in the youths.
As for GFH get them out now if we do get back into the premier league why should they reap the rewards after NEARLY letting us go under ;(

Agree0 Disagree0

Smith won't get 10 next season, unless were the same side that can't strong more than three passes together. Hoping for a bit of class up top

Cellinos notebook diary Part 3
So found out the guy in the shellsuit at the awards bash goes by the name of mad mick and by all accounts, is totally bonkers, he ll fit in here nicely, so I lm going to send my inforcer festa out to track him down. I m not sure though, I ll bet with his style he s probably working for a top fashion designer already so won't be impressed by money. I know, I ll offer him a couple of free tickets to a game of his choice, bet no one has ever offered him that.
Cant believe it, arrived at the ground and no one is there. Brian and all the players are away on holiday, what a cheek, show some respect, I NEED RESPECT. By the way I must book that flight to Miami this week. Ok I m going to send everyone a letter and tell them to get themselves back here on 2 June to explain themselves, I mean they expect to get paid when they are playing and also when the season is over, I bet this doesn t happen at any other club, typical, no respect, I bet this is all Brians idea, I am seriously losing my love for him, and one thing is for sure, that idea of starting our own guitar band is finished.

Hmmmmmmm.

On 13 April 2010, Cagliari surprisingly removed Massimiliano Allegri from his managerial duties despite a solid 12th place with 40 points, and youth coach Giorgio Melis - with Gianluca Festa as his assistant - was appointed at his replacement.

Massimiliano Allegri was released from his contract by Cagliari on 17 June 2010, under request of Serie A giants Milan, who were interested in appointing him as their new manager.
On 25 June, Allegri was officially appointed as the new manager of Milan.

Cellinos notebook diary. Part 2
I think I ve got away with the buying back the ground thing, I ll see if anyone says anything at the end of season awards. Hope Brian doesn t turn up as I ll probably have to sit with him talking football, players he wants in, players he wants out, how important it is to keep McCormack, blah blah blah, I m going to ask those pigeon guys that are booked to play on stage if they would knock off a few british pounds if I volunteered to play with them.
What a great awards evening that was. Managed to steer clear of Brian, McCormack gets a few awards which will help with the valuation later on, mowatt gets one which could help if I decide to flog him too and I got to play on stage, mind you those pigeon guys were bad, I should have paid a bit extra and got the Chiefs instead. And who was that guy in the gold chain, flipflops, aviator shades like mine and mad shellsuit that gatecrashed the do. Note to myself, must find out who he is, might have a job for him later.

This is what I think Cellinos notebook might say since FL refusal was overturned. Part 1
I don't BELIEVE IT, I have been accepted finally to own a football club in England. I thought the dodgy yacht deal would end any chance I had ever, ah well, let's get on and get Brian sacked again.
Just been told, it will cost over a million british pounds to sack Brian, now my family has the money ok, but I m sticking with the decision I made to not use any of it, I borrowed enough money from the bank to buy the club I don’t want to borrow more for this, he can stay to the end of the season and hopefully if I poke him enough he ll leave.
Note to myself. When buying anything else big, make sure I do proper due diligence, this club owes more than I thought. Now focus Massimo, remember you still have something up your sleeve. Looks like buying Elland Road and TA won't happen like I told the fans. I won't say anything about it and I m sure they won't remember I was going to go to the bank straight away and get the money, it would have been another loan anyway so I ve saved the repayments. Had a brilliant idea last night over a bottle of vino, I ll just tell the fans I couldn t buy the ground because there is so much debt, that should get me off the hook.

as I have said in my previous long ramblings, I do not know anyone in power, or in the know at eland road. I do not even know survivor, even if he claims to know me.{sorry mate just a joke to lighten mood on here}. anyway.my thoughts are deductions from observation. first the players so far released hardly played much this season, I know brown and pugh did their small bit in patches, but we have plenty remaining in the squad who can do same job. the squad was top heavy with average journeymen, and now is nearer size it should be.so for new players to come in some need to be sold to raise funds, and to release room on the wage bill. we have a lot of young lads ready to step up as byram and mowatt have the last couple of years, lads such as taylor cook and dawson. people say how can we replace ross, well when beckford went up stepped becchio, when he left up stepped ross.players already at the club.so could one of our existing lads repeat history, say smith.he had good first season, especially give number of minutes on pitch.personally I think we will get a couple of Italian 20 goal a season strikers for less than we would get for ross and less wages.the benefits are you have more room for loss of form and injury.also bear in mind good as ross may have been this season will he repeat it, we bought alebiet for free out of contract billy painter, a 29 goal striker we all know his scoring record since then.what happened to beckford and becchio neither have been as prolific as they were with us. no one is bigger than the team.while I would not actively look to sell ross, nor would I hang on to someone who wants to go.ido not know his mind I am not survivor[sorry again], nor am I the gutter press making up stories to sell papers and create unrest.anyway if we were to get reported 6m to 8m this would get several good players that would add far more to the team than we would loose.for now its all speculation, but it will be interesting time ahead once new coach in, and mc puts his plans into operation. sorry ed for such long recent posts, making up for weeks of inactivity.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree with all you said Jacy nobody bigger than the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with u jacy as much as I don't want to loose ross, I don't think he will score as many goals next season and with 8-9 million that's 3 quality players at this leval

Evening fellow supporters not a rumour just my mad mind turning over whilst having a quiet drink and thinking about my beloved club.

I really thought MC would have announced something by now regarding the new coach, the sooner the better as far as i'm concerned as we need to nail down players we want and to try and bring in before anyone else gets them.
So (as NO coach selected as I write) am I right in assuming that MC knows the players HE WANTS already, HE gets the players in, HE will pick the players and HE will tell the coach whos playing on a saturday, thus all the coach needs to do ofcourse is to coach them mon-fri!!

Any thoughts anyone I know we are ONLY fans but do you think this is a good policy and do you think it will work?
ED feel free to comment would like to know your views ;)

Can't see a new coach being unveiled until after the winding up petition has been dealt with. I can see Ross being sold immediately after the court hearing then a new manager coming in a few days after that. July will be an awfully busy month for us with incoming transfers hopefully.

Agree0 Disagree0

From what we have had to put up with for the past 2 seasons, it can't really be any worse

I agree and I think if we get a decent offer for Ross let him go, no good having a player who don't want to play for ya ;(
