Well I don't believe in BMD, his signing have been poor and he must be blind as he is the only one who still thinks Keby is any good, as for Lee's his total game is Hoofball he is not comfortable on the ball and is prone to mistakes, certainly not good enough. Let's hope the takeover happens soon, BDM out and take Keby and Stewart with you. Far worse than Colin and being a nice bloke is not enough if you are pants as a manager

Hi All fellow Leeds fans, I emailed the FL asking for takeover update following recent statement. In all honesty I didn't expect a reply but to my surprise today . ,,, . No further forward but at least they replied which is something.

Thank you for your email.

However, at present we can only advise based on The Football League's recent statement issued on Tuesday 25th February;

"The Football League remains in discussions with both the owners and proposed purchasers of Leeds United, regarding the planned change of ownership.

"To date, a significant amount of the requested information has been supplied by GFH and Eleonora Sport, but there are still a number of outstanding matters that will require further submissions from the two parties.

"The Board of The Football League is next scheduled to meet on March 13 where it will receive an update on the matter from the League's executive, unless all the remaining issues can be resolved satisfactorily in advance of this date."

Thank you for contacting The Football League.

Personally I think we've got a good team at Leeds.

The only problem is they don't have a leader with any tactical nouse.

Surely it's not that hard to teach a group of players to pass and move. Or to press and harry.

Once we get a manager who knows these two basic principles of football leeds will shine again.

Ohh and for all those who say we don't have an attacking mid. Give Dawson a go. He's been ripping it up at Academy level.

I could go on. But I'll be here all night.

if players can't think for themselves and make a pass or close players down its nothing to do with the manager .its the players passing that's no good . we need something in cm like an howson I think mowatt is going to be good but still not there yet could do with a loan spell in league 1 .

If we can keep the likes of Butland and Wickham;

Stewart has potential, from what I saw on Sat;

rid of those who need to be rid of,

don't quite understand how Kebe fits in but, in BMcD I trust!

Lees is being played out of position,

but a back three of Pearce, Makulis (Sp) and Wooton, with a strike force of Smith, McCormack and Wickham; we could actually set the Championship alight next season, IMHO

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Need to get rid of 14 players and get 7 new in .3 in defence, 3 midfield, 1 striker.

Agree, with the starters of this season going on to be the subs during the next.

So think on this. if we had the same belief and the fans backing the team that we had in the MINUS 15 points season (remember it)

If we get behind the team in the next 7 games (5 Home and 2 away) and took 17 points (winning at home, draw away)

Where would we be . How about giving 110% for 7 games and make ER. a fortress again. let's have some belief.

Complete clear out in summer i'd props only keep byram mowatt mccormack build a team around them 3 players get in 2 quick wingers and a batty type midfield someone who's going to let mowatt off the leash and attack more need a new defence peace is poor and lees is terrible he's only in team because he's a leeds lad well hopefully cellino sees this and gets rid off rubbish

Pearce is rubbish r u serious. he's easily been r second best player this season and he's just getting better hence why he got mom against qpr

Agree0 Disagree0

Pearce has been good this season, but I still feel some1 who will play the ball from the back would be better

Agree0 Disagree0

I would think there will be a few clubs trying to sign McCormack in the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think most people who watch the games would say the defence only needs a bit of tweaking, Pearce has grown this season and is finally looking quality!
It's the midfield who offer little protection to the defence and can't hold onto the ball or create and as for wingers? We finally get some and they can't cross, tackle or score! So there is your answer OP

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with second poster about Pearce, but also Lees is terrible? Least goals conceded per game when he is playing and selected for England U21's last year! Yeah he must be terrible.

Also, just how do you think we can get rid of the whole squad bar 3, any idea what that would cost the club?

Agree0 Disagree0

£9.34million, I have done the calcs

Ok so Survivor told us at the weekend that we had failed to get a Chelsea defender last week and now it is being reported that we were turned down by Nathan Ake! does he have inside info or not? the jury is still out for me but food for thought!

All you wondering why BMcD plays Kebe all the time. All I can say is they are related thanks to a night out on the town and a few too many bevvies. Put it this way; the others call Brian "boss", but Kebe says "Dad".

I think we will finish with 72 points. Basically carrying on the same form as we are with the addition of each new loan signing(one still to come) being worth an additional 3 points each on average wity an extra 3 points coming from bms experience in the" run in"

I reckon you're well adrift but I respect your opinion. In my view even an upturn in form wouldn't take us beyond about 63 points. Currently 2 wins in 12 matches suggests even My suggestion is optimistic.

Agree0 Disagree0

How many points out of the last six Mr Optimistic?

Agree0 Disagree0

9 points in the last 6 games= 1.5 points per game 14 games to go =21points =65points = Championship football next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Compared to the previous six games prior to that I believe that's a marked improvement that if to continue could see us achieve the average of two per game and the 72 mark that could see promotion I'd at least like the 1.5 per game to be maintained as to show the team has improved from last season.

Tom Lees needs dropping, i'm sick of the long diagonals

Danny LS8

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Literally just come on here to say near enough the same thing.

What has happened to him? Looked so promising a couple of seasons ago, now doesn't look the same player.

I will always get behind whatever team is put out but I do feel Zaliukas/Wooton & Pearce would be our best 2 centre backs and Lees unfortunately for me is down the pecking order as he needs to improve.

The above aside I felt we looked comfortable enough against QPR, but we now need to be consistant for the whole 90+ minutes.

Zaliukas is out because he was garbage last time out and cost us at least 3 goals against SW.

I don't mind lees defensively but I just wish he had more composure

Carson Yeung found guilty of money laundering. Will he now have to sell Birmingham as he doesn't pass the FL's "Fit & Proper" test? Do the FL have any power to impose sanctions on a club in a situation like this?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think that Carson Yeung resigned from Brums holding company last week when he expected to be found guilty. But if he is funding the holding company even though he is not a director, I think that this is not allowed either. Someone mentioned a similar thing saying that why couldn't Cellino son take over Leeds, and leave his dad out of it. Same thing, where does his son suddenly get the cash from, and who's funding him!

Agree0 Disagree0

No because he resigned a month ago, he was one of many investors. twelve percent was sold to a Chinese business man who is now their chairman. look ssn. MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

As a follow on from my earlier post, I understand our takeover is like this:
75% of the shares are being bought by Eleonora Sports, a company set up by the Cellino family, and funded by the families wealth, not Massimo directly.
An equivalent of 9.5% of the total shares in Leeds will be owned by Massimo Cellino himself, this is because if you own less than 10% of the total shares you do not have to meet the FPPT test by the FL.
Massimo is not allowed to own Eleonora Sports, and fund it, or he would fall foul of the FL FPPT, by trying to own Leeds by the back door. This is probably why he knows that he’s clean from his side and been investing the millions over the last days.
This is how I think the T/O is structured, but I am no expert! If anyone know's better please tell us. Jeff how about it?

Mcdermots brought in 7 players and they are all below par luke Murphy got no skill and can't tackle Matt smith and noel hunt cudnt score in a brothel and Kebe and Stewart are not interested cellino would be a fool to trust him with any money get him out get someone in who can play football on floor!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

03 Mar 2014 13:01:56
Matt smith could score in a brothel. Pretty wierd to say he has scored a few and when he came on against middlesbrough we looked more likely to score and murphy is still young do u expect them to be world class players straight away

Agree0 Disagree0

Murphy isn't YOUNG! 24 now isn't young in football years

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought Murphy had a decent game against QPR

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Mar 2014 15:06:24
Yes he's 24 but midfield players can play till there mid 30s so he's still improving. Its he's 1st season give him a break

Agree0 Disagree0

Murphy was better on Saturday but after getting home from the match I watched the TV coverage, and only then noticed how many 50/50 balls he bottles out of, seriously watch it. That's not the Leeds way to play football.
CH

Agree0 Disagree0

Mowatts young talented and in my mind he's a future captain off leeds he's got unbelievable cross on him 10 times a player what Murphy is already

Just looking at rest of fixtures left if we could get 9pts out of the next 4 games it mite just gives us that push for the rest of the season. We could try and get 22pts from the remaining 10 games which give us 75pts we mite just be able to make play-offs but if we don't win 3 out of next 4 season over so if that's the case give the youngsters A run out for the last 10 games to show what they could give for next season

Anyone know what's happened to Mad Mick. I wonder if he got his tickets. Or whether he and surviour were one of the same.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

03 Mar 2014 09:07:09
i was sitting not far from cellino as had corporate tickets from a friend.i was watching him closely.
he was extremely animated and shouted sheer displeasure when we lost the ball etc.
only putting this as I think this guy, as we prob knew already, definitely shoots from the hip,
he would sling out bmd in a second if things don't improve result wise.ok you can say boro and qpr away are decent draws but not in his eyes as he really wants up now.
hes showing his hand even though he doesn't own club yet, wicham, butland and prob a couple more this week are from his dosh.
if we ar eout of play offs in few weeks after tough games against reading and burnley I really expect bmd to be gone. my opinion only, just don't see many owners get that mad, oh apart from vincent tan, and look what he did. shrew leeds

It's all over. So to keep our spirits up let's start talking about building for next season, who to keep, who should go, actually probably not enough space for who should go!
To stay . Ross, Pearce, Byram, Mowatt, Warnock, Smith as for the rest they have a few good games but we need regular, consistent performers. Manager is he any good, has he really had any funds, backing, real chance to have a go? We will never know so I think he should get a chance. On the other hand we have been dire at times and we just don't look motivated. Also what happened to Blackstock, he actually fitted in pretty well. Stickey

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Blackstock is out till end of the season might get him back in transfer window

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully we dont

i don't get it at all why play kebe. put kebe on the beanch and then pit poleon on he run and go past deffenders

Believable0 Unbelievable0

03 Mar 2014 06:10:14
So BMD says we should have had all 3 points on Saturday, well that might have been the case had he not played with 9 men, even he must see that Keby and Stewart are a waste of time, we have Smith and now Wickham both big target men but Keby and Stewart did not deliver a single cross between them, As usual we resoted to lump it forward from the usual suspect "Lees" so created nothing.

We have let Varney go, he must be a better bet on the wing than Stewart, and we have Byram for the right side again even not fit a better bet than keby. I am now certain that BMD does not have a clue and hope that when the takeover is complete he is moved out for someone who knows what they are doing!! Nice man Yes, Leeds United manager NO!!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

03 Mar 2014 01:12:04
Shay given could be a target in the summer, let's face it we ain't getting butland on perm and villa want rid, he would be a quick fix but he has what it takes
