So get back fill the stadium and feel what 20,700 felt. mOT

Thanks Ken!

I'm not too faced and I'll come back when Kens gone !

Most can't afford it now mate, not that they don't want to go,making a game thats live on sky a cat A game doesn't make sense at all,the fact they offered free kids shirt with a ticket is the first sign they have shown they are concerned with falling attendancies

Agree5 Disagree1

Although I am a season ticket holder and go to every game, I personally can't blame anyone for not turning out when it is live on Sky and so can watch it for nothing. Money is tight and so people have to pick and chose what games they go to, and if it is live on Sky then people may stay away and save their money for a game such as West Ham.

The effort the team put in shown in the amount of chances we had. If Neil Warnock can bring in 4 or 5 players for next season then I'd expect us to be in the top 3 or 4 all season next year. Going forward we always looked liked scoring and we defended much better today. On another day we would have scored 3 or 4.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

NW was has made a massive improvement on the team as a whole, Leeds was class today penalty would have resulted in a massively different game they played with 9 at the back for the majority of the second half, a clear out of the current squad, some decent signings, and a pre season will result in promotion for Leeds

Agree5 Disagree1

Most improved player under Warnock? Michael Brown? Thought he was outstanding today in the middle with Clayton. Really surprised me. Webber did well too - good debut and unlucky not to get a goal.

Agree4 Disagree1

Best thing about last night was warnocks comments afterwards 'thats the minimum i expect from them every wk' think the players know that under him and looked like they wanted to play for leeds(at last!)

take a bow lads !! it hurts to lose but when we play like that u make me proud to be a white !! mot !! {Ed020's Note - they made us all proud today!! top of league....pfft, we battered them all day. 18 attempts on goal. enough said really.}

Believable12 Unbelievable1

Agree completely was a great game the crowd was so much better today, yes the teams performance and effort made a huge difference I've just scene highlights defo pen the ref was a disgrace NW was great on the touchline!

Anybody else hear NW in his interviw after the game when he had to correct himself when he said " il keep pushing for the coming weeks ahead" then quickly said months straight after? Probably nothing but really hope he sticks with the lads for a full season

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Yes - spotted that ...somet odd about it
its either nothing OR;

1. Hes agreed til end of season only at this stage ( weeks ) and then will assess & take a look at what Bates offers ££ for an improved 12 month contract

then if Neil goes then De Mateo comes in unless

2. He is playing hard to get

Neil Warnock has made a huge improvement in effort and heart already so I hope he stays and rebuilds the side over the summer

Agree0 Disagree2

He also said years to years then changed that so I wouldn't read anything in to it if the crowd and the team show belief in him he will be here for a long time to come.

Agree1 Disagree0

Guys stop reading into it- he was joking!

Agree2 Disagree0

He said before the match that you don't willingly leave a club like Leeds

The referee was horrendous today
and made numerous woeful decisions,
in particular that of the handball.
Thats two games where we have been done over by poor referee decisions. And Becchio
missed a guilt edge chance that really
he ought to be scoring, and tbh it looked
as if it wasnt going in when Davis saved
it, who btw was magnificent today. How
Bromby managed to lose the header
against that LI (japenese striker) they
had up front that set up the goal is
something that needs to be cut out.

However on the bright side, the team
looked great, solid as we are ever going
to be at the back with our current crop
of defenders and going forwards snoddy
white etc gave 110%. Id like to also take
the time to congratulate Webber who was
an instant impact on his debut today
, and not to tarnish it too much really ought to have scored.

In retrospect though it was a great game
but i feel next week will be tougher
against west ham. If we play like that then
the lads can hold there heads high
no matter what the situation. Also good
to hear the north stand singing again
makes a change ;)

MOT {Ed020's Note - definatly does make a change for the better!!!}

great performance !!! but listening to nw after game i still believe that our priority will be to go up next season due to our finiancial ties to administrators as he said when asked if we play like that till end of season he dnt think we will make it, i like his honest approach watch us go next season !! hope he stays for the challenge !! mot !!

Believable6 Unbelievable0

This seasons since NW arrival has always been we'll see what happens the push is for next year! You got to agree that’s sensible and pragmatic by KB & NW which is good to see!

encouraging performance from the lads, only thing ill be negative about is Becchios miss, shouldve scored but im pleased hes improving, the ref was terrible and Davies has a fantastic game

and Agent Grayson doing well with Town, they messed up another lead today :P

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Agent Grayson defence seams to follow him which ever club he is at haha

Agree3 Disagree0

Wouldnt agree with that, Town when Clark was in charge still messed a few leads up and drew a lot of games

Snodgrass take a bow! Amazing performance from him 110% effort tonight and showing leadership!

All players deserve credit for their commitment and passion tonight. {Ed020's Note - an amazing effort!! could'nt of asked anymore from the lads.}

Believable9 Unbelievable0

I think everyone gave 110% except Snoddy....

... he was on at least 200%

We are back!!!!!

Agree7 Disagree0

It's a shame the ref played at 300% for Soton! how bad was he! {Ed020's Note - agreed, was on sotons side all night long!!!}

Great start for Warnock draw with a team who can barely field 11 players and now a defeat at home to a Southampton team who if they are promoted will show just how bad the Championship has become. In fairness we were excellent today but it's results what count especially at this stage of the year.

Sadly I've come to the conclusion that players or mangers don't win football matches, it's all down to the power mad dope with the whistle.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

No players win matches. particularly goalkeepers.

Agree6 Disagree0

Here we go doom and gloom again !! GIVE THE MAN A CHANCE !! GREAT EFFORT AND PERFORMANCE GO SUPPORT NORWICH !! MOT !!!!!!!!1 {Ed020's Note - exactly!!! amazing performance!!!}

Agree3 Disagree1

To the original poster - what are you on? - that was a magnificent performance and we showed some real determination and desire - why won't you get off warnings back- 2 games in and the improvement is there to see , I really don't understand what all this negativity is about

Agree1 Disagree1

Give the poster a chance, he is right about the person in charge...

Agree2 Disagree1

The ref was bad and the players was great! {Ed020's Note - yes and definatly yes!}

Agree1 Disagree0

I am the original poster after the Portsmouth game everyone is shouting about it was the first game give him a chance yet after the second game he's turned us into Barcelona. So after ONE good performance we suddenly have become world class yet after first game when we were poor we have to give it time because it's ONE match. I see quite a lot of double standards here. Great performance today against a team who I can't believe are in the top 10 never mind top.

Agree0 Disagree1

He did actually say when he got the job'we will be better against portsmouth(which we were)and much better when we play southampton)which again we were,in his short time at the club he has made an impact on the squad thats for sure,we will have to wait and see what he can do long term(if he is here)and if he is supported in the market when the time comes by the chairman

Playing very well indeed- fire in belly stuff. Doing everything but score! Becchio fantastic!

Great performance, only their keeper stopped us getting 5 or 6,no justice in this game.

Ref played his part for them too.

Possible Leeds team & formation today:
----------------------Lonergan---------------------
--------Lees----------Bromby------------O'Dea-----
white-----------------------------------------Pugh
-
----------Snodgrass------Brown------Clayton-------
------------------------McCormack-----------------
--------------Becchio---------------------------
4-2 Leeds
Subs:
O'Brien
Nunez
Sam
Paynter
Thompson

I fancy us to be honest MOT

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Unlikely change to that formation.

Agree1 Disagree1

Like the formation, but tbh I hope your'e wrong. Cannot for the life of me understand why M.Brown keeps getting in the side! He's well past it and not able to cope with the pace of championship football IMO. Correct me if am wrong! LUFC4EVA. M.O.T.

Agree1 Disagree0

Who else do you want to occupy the role filled by Brown? Would it be Howson (sold)? Would it be Johnson (sold)? Would it be Varynen (injured)?

Leeds need to avenge the opening day defeat today by putting in a much better performance than at St Marys on opening day. Lots of others will be taking points off each other before the end of the season & with an extra week with the squad so should play more likeca Warnock team today....Come on Leeds...

Believable4 Unbelievable0

It will be the same score but in leeds favour 25/1

Someone mentioned about crowd numbers did anyone else notice the home game against Doncaster the crowd was noted as 00 if you look on OS under fixtures it gives you a list of games played the score and the crowd attendance numbers...... Just made me think that is a stat KB would hate 00 I'm 100% behind team and manager but surely not a good business decision to reduce potential crowd numbers by banning people......we still live in a democracy Ken they're not harming you which you've already pointed out so come on be the big man here and let em back in we all need to pull together MOT

Vital, vital game today. A win today and it could be a catalyst. It could give us the momentum and belief needed to push for the play offs. There isn t much between a lot of teams. A bit of confidence and suddenly we re right up there.
On the other hand, a defeat and I m afraid this season is fizzling out.
Get right behind the lads, win or lose. Can t underestimate the effect of a passionate, packed Elland Road.
Get sum blud on yer boots.

Believable7 Unbelievable4

7-0, passing the ball around them for most of the second half would do nicely...

Agree2 Disagree5

Whoever disagreed with the 7-0 clearly wasn't around in the 70s!

Agree4 Disagree4

Finshing off the moves we create and defending like a rock would be even better

how about just supporting the club cos that's what we are Arnt we, supporters. I mean maybe we won't get promoted yet maybe not next season either maybe people don't like Bates but at least with him in charge we have had a club to support. look at rangers guaranteed champions league every year no massive name signings yet they could be no more, Portsmouth almost gone aswell so please forget whose in charge and support the club that's the only way we get promotion without that support the club will go nowhere show everyone what being a Leeds fan is about get behind the team the club and we will march on together.

Craig

Believable5 Unbelievable4

Just because we hate Bates doesn't mean we don't get behind the team at games mate. Some of us really care about how the club is run - we can't just forget that.

I agree that chanting during the games is counter productive but we need to keep the pressure on Bates to answer the big questions.

Why are we only spending 35% on playing staff costs? Who REALLY owns the ground -British Virgin Island company Teak Trading Corporation is all we can glean. Who's the money really going to? Who sold the club to Bates? How much for? Why did they sell when they did when they could probably have sold for ten times as much by hanging on a few years? Did Bates own the club all along? Why was a loan written off only if Bates was reappointed as Chairman? Who owned the company that wrote off the loan and what was their relationship with Bates?

The whole thing stinks and the common thread is Bates. We can still support the team whist asking the questions, and to suggest otherwise is offensive.

I'm not a militant kid, I'm 50 and have been going to the games for 42 years. I've supported this club through its 'ups and downs' and will always do so. Still want answers though...

Agree7 Disagree1

Those that get close to the answers are banished from ER

Anyone else think that Nigel Martyn is a wrong for giving his public backing to L.U.S.T, given that they're campaigning for Bates out (in there campaign for change) Surely it is wrong that an ex pro would offer support to a minority movement, lets not forget they have only 4,500 members, and not all of them agree with the movement they only represent 2% of the match day attendance. Is he a sell out?

Believable6 Unbelievable8

Disgraceful. He is a f@$kin goose. We need to be one and division causes weakness. The club and the lads need full support. Everyone get over this bates out crap cos we are on the right track

Agree5 Disagree8

4,500 members is almost 25% of our crowd. That's a very large membership for a protest group. I haven't joined but I'm thinking about it - as are most of the 12 or so people I go to the White Hart and/or game with, none of whom have actually signed up yet. Membership may be 4,500 - support is much higher as can be witnessed from the volume of Bates Out chants during the game.

Support for LUST's cause suggests at the very least that Bates is dividing the club's fans.

Regardless of which side of the fence you choose to sit on - answer this. How can a divide fan base be a good thing?

Agree4 Disagree1

No he's not a sell out. He's a supporter with legitimate concerns about how the club is being run. He's as entitled to an opinion as you are and doesn't seem to be stooping to personal abuse in the way you are. Why are the Bates lovers doing that? Is it because they can't put forward a rational, well argued case?

Agree5 Disagree1

In basic terms without going into details of workings out 4,500 members of the total number of Leeds fans then the average supporters that attend games and work it out it's less than 2% of the total number of people attending games

Agree0 Disagree1

He's an Everton supporter he writes a column for Everton every week he is a fan of Everton not Leeds
