Di Canio appointed at Sunderland! Inspired choice imo, I think he will keep them up personally!

Believable6 Unbelievable8

Glad he's taken - he's a rabid facist and all-round lunatic. Last thing we need.

at least he would have got rid of that other milliband loser brother from supporting us. such a shame at least we would have heard it from the horses mouth instead of 10yrs of b/s.

Could you honestly imaging DiCanio in charge of us, with the sh{t that we give our managers. With his temper and the way some of our fans are he'd be scrapping with our fans withing two months.

Di Canio is not mad, he is passionate, driven and a winner. He would have given it to us straight and sorted out anyone not pulling their weight. Good luck to him at Sunderland!

Oneill a has been. Get in an old Leeds boy. Sheridan or Oleary. We got no money so appointing a "top" manager won't matter. Get in one someone who can bring on the kids. It's the only way. It's the way we did it before if you think about it.

Believable5 Unbelievable15

Agree mate! I have a feeling Sheridan could be the man for us. don't really know why as his record is only average. However he's started off at smaller clubs and given the chance could be our saviour. Dramatic I know but his teams play good football and he will let the young players shine if they are good enough. I posted a few days back about getting the buzz back at ER and John Sheridan I believe is the man to start it all off!
What have we got to lose? Another boring year with Warnock. ONeils teams not much better. Poyet can't do it with a much bigger budget at Brighton. I really believe Shezza got unfinished business at ELLAND ROAD. MOT.

Agree4 Disagree9

I agree - what about Neil Redfearn he's done it before? Or Richard Naylor?

Agree0 Disagree13

And, as I've already said, I will go myself and get Poleon back and please can Ashdown have a go?

Agree8 Disagree0

Here we go with the old boys again, Oleary maybe, Sheridan no, what's he done as a manager, that's right f-ck all, Oneila past it, be better with Macdermot or Coyle.

Agree4 Disagree2

I would not take Sheridan if he offered to pay us, he might of had a gift as a footballer but as a manager and a person he falls very, very short.

50 points is generally enough to stay up. We're not going up, we're not down. In fact it's pretty much as I've been saying since Warnock was appointed.

Going nowhere under Warnock.

31 Mar 2013 18:21:45
I think the first thing a new manager is going to have to do is sign a new quality striker and also bring poleon in to the team. I think a new creative cm needs to be signed and young Chris Dawson may need to be sent out on loan for a few months unless he shows something special in pre season.
A new winger with pace is a must and hall needs time on the pitch as well.
I think a new cb is needed as well as Pearce and Peltier will make mistakes that will cost us points.
I think the likes of cairns and Taylor should be at the club playing cup games.
No chance of that happening and morison can't be dropped he's still putting in a lot of running and getting in the right positions he just needs to get some luck on his side.

hi ed and all fellow fans a few things i want to add

1) we need a younger guy at the helm the likes of di matteo or mc dermott etc as the current old guard are fast becoming dying fossils i understand the calls for m oneil (ye he nearly joined us years back) he didn't and he was also up with the times them days he hasn't progressed, the way football is now just ask any guys at villa and sunderland he has no plan b a bit unlike our own mr warnock we need progressive new thoughts new thinking to get us where we belong ie a joe jordan (ye a 2nd man to harry ) but harry being one of the best wheeler dealers and man to man coach out there so must have learnt something and contacts for players must be exhaustive! as is di matteo mc'd and few other guys out there no more fossils guys!if we want to move on move on in the times also. if leicester. want him let them have him forward and progressive persons who use mixtures of youth and knowledge of good fringe players with points to prove is what we need to get out of this league and stay up and also the funding from gfh to boot, at least that would lay down a marker from gfh to what the future holds for our mighty and proud fan base
leeds for life

Believable4 Unbelievable4

My dream management team would be gary mac as we always played good footy under him and has a good eye for potential and would nuture chris dawson maccas assistant would be jamie carragher he is current and woukd work with our defence and the likes of lees and byram would learn so much from him and as part of the backroom staff robbie fowler to work on our forward line on the training pitch no doubt will get slaughtered but just my opinion

Agree8 Disagree4

Agree with Gary MacAllister and Carragher, they would be great choices. Macca was only a 'poor' manager (he wasn't that bad got us to league 1 playoff final) at league 1 level because he tried to play football instead of hoof ball. he would be great for championship and premier league though as he has the right style of football and has an eye for quality signings (Snodgrass, Becchio, Freedman)

Agree4 Disagree0

Good post back macca would be a succws in this league cheap to hire great first rung on the ladder for jamie let's not get above our station money is tight work with richard naylors kids with modern day quality pros and bring them through

GFH should go now there are as bad as Bates. Why would we be doing so bad I know because of the lack of backing the manager with money.

Believable2 Unbelievable9

31 Mar 2013 18:03:46
Gfh are doing a good job. They have only been owners since just before Christmas. They have gotvthings moving in the right direction.
What chance have they really had?
I think they give Warnock money in January but he was unable to find a player he wanted other than Boyd who was over priced by 1.5 million.
Wood was asking too much for wages.
I think we will see quite a few changes to the squad to free up wages in the summer

Agree2 Disagree1

Stop talking rubbish warnock is the one to blame the man is clueless

Di Canio on his way to Sunderland.

Believable6 Unbelievable2

31 Mar 2013 14:01:32
Heres what I don't understand GFH ar not only a business but an investment house. If they had a fund manager who wasnt performing and what's worse was losing them money, they would get rid and bring someone in who could do the job with an excellent track record. Warnock NOT performing putting fans backs up therefore staying away ergo losing them money. yet they still continue with him. Not good business Not good football and you want to us to believe in you? Show some balls show some consideration for the fans show some commitment to Leeds United FC and get rid of Warnock NOW!

Believable6 Unbelievable1

31 Mar 2013 19:46:19
Why would GFH get rid of Warnock now. they would have to pay him off for terminating his contract early. His contract is going to end soon and that won't cost them or LUFC any money.

This season is basically over, the only questions are

Where will we finish in the league?
What players can be brought in?
New investment where does that come from?

Signing the youth on to contracts I agree with totally, in fact I would make sure the Under 18's are "ALL" signed up.

Agree0 Disagree0

I guarantee we will get more points with warnock gone. Pay him out and get rid of him

if Biggest Leeds Fan Ever Haigh decides what we really need is an ex Manchester United player and failed manager to take us up, i'm done with this club.

Believable23 Unbelievable2

31 Mar 2013 13:09:19
I/we put up with a lot with Ken Bates but I stuck it out week after week. I was against Warnock from the start because of what he has said about Leeds in the past but I stuck it out. HOWEVER, if the club is stupid enough to bring in Mark Hughes THAT IS IT for me. 50 years a supporter.

Believable22 Unbelievable1

31 Mar 2013 12:09:04
Please stop saying bad luck etc. good teams draw or win with 10 men, not fall apart. Good teams have strikers that score midfielders that can pass and goal keepers that can catch. Good teams have good players. Good teams get promoted and finally good teans have a good manager. So. Nothing to do with bad luck. We are crap ( at the moment).

Believable18 Unbelievable0

For the first time this season I have to agree that now IS the time for Warnock to be gone, but only when we find a decent manager, maybe fortune is smiling, O'Neill has just become available.

Agree6 Disagree1

31 Mar 2013 11:49:58
Has anyone noticed that warnock never points any blame to the players he has signed. Tom lees got slaughtered yesterday for his error, wrongly in my opinion. becchio, mccormack, aidy white etc.
But peltier for example who at full back for most of the season was costing us goals nearly every game, not a peep out of warnock. Please go and take your mates with you.

W2ARNOCK IS THE BIGGEST PRIZE PR*CK

I don't like saying that but he has sucessfully shipped off Poleon to the blunts, swapped out highest scoring player for someone who can't score an open goal from 6 yards out and is now slating one of the best young players Leeds have ever bought through?

Warnock - you need to take a fu**ing good look at yourself and see where the problem is?

Why the f**k did you put that person brown back into the team when he is the sole cause of so many of our problems?

Lees is a good solid defender, Brown is a total liability, how many time has brown been booked or sent of and you have never ONCE criticised him?

All of a sudden Lees does something stupid and it's his fault YOUR team lost 3-0?

Do us all a favour and walk, now, we don't want you here and we certainly don't want to hear you slating our best players when you bring in over the hill past it has beens who just want their pay rather than having any loyalty to OUR club!

Agree9 Disagree0

31 Mar 2013 11:24:09
Well if you look at the start of the Ipswich game, it is clear to see that the team isn't that bad after all. It does look like we at least have a core squad that are good enough to do well in this league. Strangely, I do agree with Warnock in that we only really need 3-4 quality players for us to push on next season, and although Warnock's tactics are outdated and useless, I do think the players we have are capable of getting promoted, if that little bit of quality were injected into the team. The one think we can thank Warnock for is laying the foundations for next year. MOT

All good managers and would be a positive step for Leeds but Mark Hughes?
What next?
Roy Keane as manager with Alf-Inge Haland as assistant.
Better still, Eric Cantona as manager with Lee Chapman as his assistant.
"The fans, they boo but that is because they cannot see the sea water for all the fish that I am catching"
"The players, they concentrate on the skies where the birds are shrieking, when they should be concentrating on the water, where the fish are swimming"

I was quite willing to let GFH have time to show us what there intensions are, but to keep in employment this absolute oaf of a manager is beyond me, I am not angry anymore just bemused.
ED I was the one who said, that Warnock stated openly that he hated Leeds and he is here as a swan song to cause as much harm as he could to Leeds as he is a Shefffiel utd fan, you poo pood this as a nonsence. MMMmmm rethink time. {Ed013's Note - That is your conspiracy, many people hate Leeds, but he is a professional}

Believable6 Unbelievable7

I would hardly call what warnock has done while at Leeds serious damage, flirting with the play offs all season! Think u need a rethink and ed is right conspiracy theory.

gaz1966 {Ed013's Note - I agree his record is poor, he wouldn't have down that on purpose though}

Agree2 Disagree0

ED any professional knows when it is time to go.
This is not my conspiracy mine would have us in the prem challenging for europe or at the very least know what to do with substitutes and ensure everyone plays with heart
that is what I conspire {Ed013's Note - Let's see what he has to say when he leaves}

for me you have got to go for martin o neil alright he has struggled at sunderland but look what he did with lecister celtic aston villa I no about 15 years ago he signed a pre-contract to become leeds manager before it all went pear shaped maybe now the time is right
belly with only one welly

Believable8 Unbelievable9

Anyone could manage Celtic, and didn't he get sack fron Villa, its a long time since he was at Leicester, spent millions creating a poor Sunderland team, there's better than him out of work, plus there will be more sackings in the premier league, anyone in the bottom half may be next to lose their job, may be better to wait and see,

Kevin Leeds 50 years here again.
I was at Ipswich yesterday, OK results mean everything in this league, but the first 30 mins of that game the gulf between the two sides was massive, the passion we showed, the movement, the football we played and the chances we created was fabulous, do you know we had 11 shots within that period to Ipswich one. YES I know, am I picking at straws? well I don't think so I have mentioned in previous posts that if this team was starting the season now we would run away with it, the only thing that is not happening at the moment is Lady Luck and putting these dam chances away in front of goal. NW no matter what the crap wagon brigade say does get his team eventually playing some good stuff and the togetherness is there to be seen. Well I appreciated the effort from yesterday and was quite optimistic, I know you CB club will tear into me but what I have said is true.
My thoughts on Martin O'Neil well if NW does go let's start a petition to get this guy in, he wanted this job before O'Leary, he will snap our hands off I am sure. So bombard this web site with posts for O'Neil to become next manager, forget about others, please for god sake as mentioned in other posts that Mark Hughes is available, I will die if he is offered this job. It's without doubt O' Neil for me, with our current squad and his additions we will destroy this league, trust me.
Again I await the crap Brigade to tear into me, don't worry I am thick skinned, but I do talk sense, unlike you lot.
Kevin Leeds 50 years

Believable12 Unbelievable7

Never mind crap brigade! Your spot on pal. Mot.

Agree0 Disagree4

It's not that the fans don't talk sense, I've been to 25 games this season and the football has been average at best, 30mins at Ipswich does not make up for what I would describe as the worst Leeds team I have seen since relegation from the Prem, Managers are judged by results and success and neither are imminent with Warnock in charge, the team itself is average and even the most loyal of fans have had enough.

Agree4 Disagree0

Martin Oneil promised Peter Risdale he would take us over than went back on his word and jumped ship. ONCE YOU HAVE TURNED LEEDS DOWN NO SECOND CHANCE. {Ed013's Note - That isn't what happened, O'Neill didn't realise he was stepping on another managers toes so said no to the job because he was lied to}

Oh my god! The nightmare at elland rd is due to continue.
Mind my hair hughes is fav. All he ever did was dive, he is a useless man and manager. i'd rather di cannio than him. Says in paper warnock wants a say in his successor. What the f for. He has failed and has no right whatsoever in having anything to do with leeds other than locking the door after him. What an awful season this has been, when you look at where we are now, we could be dragged into rel fight
Its all warnocks fought. Many many decent players moved about this season and we bought the crap ones. Then it turns out warnock can't motivate the crap he bought in and dosent even play some if them. Then he slags off the players in public and tells everybody how good he is and what a great job he has done. The players dobt give a rubbish now vecause they know they'll be gone soon. How can gfh let it go this far? i'm really worried that they believe him. Youd think theyd want to protect their inveztment and get rid of him and team. As it stands we could poss be relegated. Who can we beat in this league? They are doing good things as well but their football acumen is seriously floored. Get him out and we may win a few.

We're on TV on Monday and I'm going to make my feelings known I want you to leave our club now. I'll have my own little banner saying Warnock OUT and between singing marching on together I can shout Warnock Out. Not a rumour but a circumstance - O Neill and Warnock to "swap" jobs?
NW could be wanted by Sunderland to rescue their PL status, going nowhere at Leeds. O Neill was a wanted managerial candidate for Leeds a few years ago. Swapping jobs now maybe good for both clubs. Warnock to fill a short term gap at Sunderland to try to keep them in the Prem Lge - O Neill to make an early start at Leeds to assess the squad in preparation for next season.

Who knows?
