So apparently we've sealed a deal for Stuart Dallas. Anyone know if he's any good? Heard a few Beentford fans are disappointed to have lost him but I don't know whether that's a good indication. All I know is he's a winger ;)

I guess that's a start. To be honest, between Dallas and Buckley, I would rather have Buckley.
But we have gone for the more "financially viable option".
I wonder if there is a "money back if he doesn't score 8 goals and provide 12 assists (minimum)" clause built in.
Anyway, a wide player is a wide player. Which means Tayls can go back to defence.

I have a feeling he's got more to offer than Buckley. He seems to be able to bag a few goals, from all ranges, and he can create chances. Which is what we're going to need if we want Chris Wood to be prolific. Feeling quite optimistic about him at the moment.

Think dallas will be a good addition,had a pretty good season in championship last year. Work with a brentford fan so have heard lots of positives about him. And he is a w**g*r!!

I hope I am wrong but are we settling for 2nd best due to Buckleys wages demands? That said I have never seen Dallas play and Rosler knows what he is getting having coached him before. Its just that Buckley always played well against us and is a top draw championship winger.

Corky boy, the lad scored 8 last year from 38 games playing as a winger for a team playing 'sexy football' and getting into the playoffs. Sorry I refuse to call it 'heavy metal football' as I am a Mod, a mad Mod at that. I think this lad will be a steal and may end up being a better acquisition than Buckley. Nice beard too like my missus. haha, sorry too much Stella.

Thats the problem when you go for higher league players, wages. Not fair on rest if he gets 20 and everyone else gets 10. that's why Morrison will probably be with us next season, only league 1 will want him but could not afford his wages, and I can't see Cellino paying money out to get rid of some one.

We still need another three players.
With the exception of Wood the team is no better than last season. let's hope that NR was such a poor coach/manager and that Rosler can get better and more consistent results from this seasons squad, because as it stands we don't seem much better. Its obvious we need a wide player or two but we badly need another centre back as Cooper and especially Bellusci make at least one error per game. A CB with some pace would be handy. Oh, and sign up Will Buckley asap. Quality player.

I said similar the other day. Ademyemi may be an improvement on Austin, but I don't recall seeing much of him last season and Wood hopefully will be a handful. Erwin is one to develop and will come in handy for those set pieces. This leaves the manager, so let's hope he can make a difference. We do have some very good players and maybe Rossler can bring the best out of them. I don't think his football will be as negative as Redders.

It seems a little short sighted to bring in one winger for 1.5mil if there are players who are floating around on a free. Whilst I know we want quality we need depth in the squad to provide options, be able to switch things around and cover injury. Half our problems over the last few seasons is that we have been predictable and lacked the ability to get the opposition to have to work to break us down and react to OUR game plan. Opponents turn up and put us on the back foot almost every time. Tough league with lots of games to play we need to be pro active with the ability to be reactive as and when required! Let's get some more pace and players who have natural ability in set positions. Let's hope Buckley comes in and at least 1 more ( Aussie lad on a free?). I so want us to be up there this season - come on Leeds 😎

Sorry pp have to disagree. I'd rather have a couple of quality signings, like Wood and Buckley, than 6 players who you can't really say make us a better side. Sure we need a better squad, but if we can offload some players (we know who they are)and pick up better for free then ok, but it has to be quality first.

Not saying bring in dross - I am happy with the quality 'piece' just think we need more than one in each position and we need options - nothing wrong with bringing in someone on a free - just get the contact right - we pay coaching staff to do exactly that and if we can bring someone in and bring them on - we either keep em or maybe make a few quid. Maybe I did not articulate it well enough - I think fast than I type. Just sick of players not playing in the right positions and Not getting time to consolidate.

Its also a shame about the new FA rules, potentially no hidden gems (unless they have dual nationality) from the African nations would get permits. In todays rules would Radebe have got a permit?

It should not count if they have allready contributed seems a bit keep top countrys strong and poor ones poorer if they Can't have there internationals in top leagues and it will deter people who have a choice of national teams playing for weaker nations?
