Need wide men and midfielders so why not mcgugan, great player who is still youn for a centre mid drive (he didn't play much last year) and maybe gradel back cos he had apparently a poor season in France so cold loan or knock off price

The beginning of this week is certainly a lot quieter than last week. Very little news on anything apart from Billy Payntor of to Blackpool on trial. {Ed003's Note - Arrrrghhh! }
Yes we are all stunned into silence that anyone wants Billy, still they may be short of donkeys on the beach this year.....

I too am waiting for news of the takeover with bated breath but not feeling negative about it as yet. NW has brought a fair few players to the club and these players must be on good salaries. I doubt the money we get from Clayton's and Snodgrass's transfers would pay these salaries so where else is the money coming from? not from Mr Bates that is certain.
I, like many others, think that Nw has been given an amount of money in good faith from the new owners especially as it is rumoured we have made bids for two players today. Until I hear anything to the contrary I believe the takeover is still happening. Besides Uncle Ken would certainly be spouting off if things had gone pear shaped.
I know its agonising but keep the faith it will happen and we'll be told when it suits all parties. MOT Ron.

To right, Uncle Ken wouldn't be able to keep his mouth shut. There has been the Snodgrass saga, you just know he wouldn't have missed a chance to slag him off whilst pocketing the £3mill. Plus all the LUST comments, the court cases with Levy and the Police...he couldn't resist using radio Bates (Yorkshire Radio) to get his party message out there. The deal must still be on.
Fishermans friends, can go sail off into the sunsett. we don't need his fishy dealings anymore. we just need people that will put into the club, the same as we do year after year.

Bates smoke screen!! no take over, once again free players in, sell the best ones, any players we have bought have been funded by sales.
All of a sudden Bates will say that the new potential owners pulled out at the last minute or that they never had the funds to buy.Bates want us to buy mechandise and season tickets, be aware Bates will be here next season ripping us off again.....
At the moment forget Bates and admire the job that Warnock is doing with the funds he has at his disposal, a new team is being created and I for one are looking forward to next season, for starters the defence looks more solid, when Austin completes his move the midfield wil look more competitive, Varney could be a bargain buy, also there could be some creative signings still to come. It's not all doom and gloom let's get behind the team and manager and stop looking on the negative side.
Sh**e, keep your frustrated thoughts in your paranoid head, this kind of comment really doesn't help.

Think the orginal poster is being realistic. lufc will see my money for st when bates is gone. as the song goes we wont get fooled again
What's realistic is the players already signed will carry us forward and we must get behind them, get to the ground and make them feel wanted, sure there will be more signings, it's time to quit the negatives and move on, last season at this stage we'd signed 2 players, now were on the verge of a new team.
I think bates has got the message now. To come back would be a very unwise move on his part. Even though the takeover looks like its goin to go through at some stage. Season ticket sales will still be down on last year. Doubt people will go out and by it, without anything set in stone yet.
I still support my team no matter what but at the moment, i'll be playing it one game at a time, until we know who's hands are club is in.
I'm defo there for the first home game of the season. Hope everyone else will be there too. Lets show these lads why it takes a speacial player to play for the mighty whites.

So we've sold our best players, who exactly ? the only decent player we've sold is snoddy, who wanted to go.
As for players in I think there's much more positive action than there has been in a long time, as for your thoughts on the KB smoke screen....You know what I can't even be arsed, take your negativety else where.

Nel dd say he would only accept a player swap were just wonderng tho f they met the 2.5m clause would he be able to go wthout nels blessng? Not a rumour, just a depressing feeling that the takeover/investment has stalled.
In my opinion LUST were quite right to request a status on this issue, the club have been fairly responsive to previous requests. Now it's gone VERY quiet.
I know these things can take time but someone find out something tangible about this PLEASE!!
Although he has a good eye for talent, Colin will need "some" funds.

Understand your frustration but the spending so far this summer suggests backing already in place and I think we've made two offers today for players. The new owners are keeping quiet as to not raise the cost of players to come in.
How is it you think we know the takeover has been done and all these teams with players to sell aren't aware then?
Why do you think we don't have all the players in we want already?
Perhaps because these teams are waiting so they CAN put the price up?

Have an idea the takeover is done as warnock has already spent more than bates would ever have allowed, We have not got all the payers we want as warnock has said we need at least 2 to 4 more ! Other clubs are not aware as we have not announced it for the reason previously stated.
Apparently representatives of the new owners intervened and tried to convince snodgrass to stay, i read. Takeover is still on
Lets hope the real funds are being used to get some cordon bleu iceing. Then we can blow out the candles at the start of the season.

people giving out about ross saying he is this and that and hes fat and doesnt work hard for the team. if he signs a new contract everyone will love him and say its great to see loyalty and all that c**p. ross is a super player who is guaranteed 20+ goals a season in championship and for his height scores alot of headers so dont criticise him for looking out for himself for after he retires he has no income for 40 years! i personally think he will stay and take us back to where we belong! all the good players who left turned down our "improved contracts" so they cant all be wrong. rant over!!

Ross is a decent Championship player, but easily replaced, he has a good start to last season, then was distinctly average after November. If he thinks he's worth more than the club is willing to offer after that then I hope we cash is ASAP!
'C' {Ed020's Note - i don't think he's easily replaced, not many more players scored more than him last season that are still in the championship(as there premiership players now), we need to keep hold of him}

Rosco could not play behind forwards he is an inside forward not a midfield player. he is only going to get 20 goals a season if the midfield is good enough to create him chances.

I've had enough of all these rumours about the takeover. If it was going to happen, does anyone really think it would be dragging on this long?
I think the patience of even the most loyal Leeds supporter has been severely tested. I haven't renewed my season ticket and won't do until Mr Bates has gone
It will happen, but everyone is underestimating the amount of due diligence required and the complexities of buying ER and TA. This all takes time and I am sure there will be some issue to sort out along the way. They are doing it as fast as they can. I would have imagined that this whole process would take 6/8 weeks minimum. If we haven't heard anything by mid August, then I would be getting concerned about the T/O, but overall I am still happy as the team with NW is moving forward.... Have faith.

So you're going to punish yourself and not go to matches of the club you claim to love because you can't understand that this is extremely complicated?! Do you not think that if it had fallen through that Bates would have been in the press slagging the people off?!
Try supporting the club and trusting that something this complicated might not be done overnight mate. I've been involved in much smaller takeovers which have taken a hell of a lot longer!

I must be missing something when I read numerous posts saying Peltier and temple ton are the icing to come.
Give me a break.templeton is totally unproven.yes he has talent .peltier obviously is talented but not good enough for Leicester.
I will support Leeds 100% but this squad will not take us up.we have a nucleus but just not the extra quality a d sparkle.
