ok right, why would n*bhead bates sell the club? when he has took complete control over the club?

Mr bates may well have taken total control of the club to make the sale of the club easier and avoid any complications, although I'd like to believe he has helped the club I can't get it out of my head that if that rich Russian had not bought Chelsea they would have been in a worse state than we could ever have imagined.So although it doesn't look too bad at moment god knows what's underneath the surface.he doesn't pay wages or transfer fees, cut staffing back to minimum and gets 26000 crowds week in week out at one of the most expensive grounds in the country.Course he'll sell if he can make out of it this is ken bates we're talking about.

Got a point, dint spend any money last summer and been havin 30,000+ crowds all season, top half finish, loads tv coverage yet hes releasing 2 mill??? something aint right

Have just heard from a very reliable friend/source that negotiations are taking place with Darko Matic . Beijing Guoan have already accepted a bid of £350k so now it's down to player negotiations.

Ian Harte to Leeds, he wanted to have another pop at the premier league but if Reading failed to get promoted (there 3-0 down at the minute) then he wants to come back to Leeds

I would love to see Ian Harte back at Leeds but when I was on holiday in Florida a couple of weeks ago I met his brother who is a very nice bloke (although he supports Liverpool and not Leeds!) He told me that Ian wanted to come back to Leeds before the Reading deal and apparantly Grayson wasn't interested. Maybe he has changed his mind as I would like his experience. In regards to all this transfer talk, Grayson has already said time and time again that he plays his cards close to his chest. I would like to see a full back 4 with an experienced defensive midfielder and maybe a striker with pace although I believe Becchio will be a good partnership for Somma or Mcormack. Come on Leeds, lets have a big push next season, a Premier League with a Welsh club in it and no Leeds Utd doesn't look right! ! In Grayson we trust, M.O.T

Come on Grayson there's a really big opportunity here. Reading aren't going up and because of this, may drop their interest in buying Mikele Leigertwood. In my opinion a great replacement for Johnson.

lol at Southampton how the heck could they afford Alan Smith?! Someone is clearly taking the Mick, either the person who said Smith's going for a medical tomorrow (on main rumours page) or the person claiming he's signed for Saints. Or perhaps more likely, both are talking rubbish!

To the guy who said Bradley Johnson is rubbish - Did you watch any Leeds games last season.

To the person who said we don't want Earnshaw he's useless - Do you understand the game football.

And lets be realistic no one knows how much we got to spend so why say were gonna bring in free transfers, if we did i wouldn't be surprised but we don't know and i can't see anyone on this site going out with Ken Bates in the near future discussing finances.

Having watched all Leeds games last season, supported Leeds since the John Charles era and coached I would say Johson is slow both in pace and thought(how many times did he manage to pass the ball forward or accurately), he is not bad in the air but not great, he is not a great tackler, (note how many free kicks he gives away in dangerous positions) and he is prone to sulking (See the Derby game away when he was a sub. Clearly did not want to be on the pitch). He is an average Championship player who occasionally does something well. We have to do better if we are to get promotion. We suffered when he didn't play simply because we had no one else that could do that job and Grayson got his team selection wrong from time to time. A lot will depend on who comes in to replace Bradley.

Shut up moaning about Johnson & Killkenny apart from having a poor defence they were part of the reason we gave away 70 odd goals last season poor pass accuracy poor pass choices and too slow.They gave little if any protection to defence but were ok going forward.Too many times they gave ball away and put pressure on the defence which could well do without it as they are useless aswell.Lets get used to it bates will not spend money on wages or transfers, and to the idiot on about Coker been worth 85k a week as if we go up it is money well spent, but mr bates will take a glance at cardiff and the state we was in only a few years ago.Do we really need to risk going through that again.You all want Bates to spend the money but when it all goes wrong you will all want to point the finger at him as you did with Risdale.They can't win.Just for the record though i can't stand either of them.

I agree with the Nick Montgomery shout as Grayson tried but failed last summer to sign him.Also i have heard Barry Ferguson is on Graysons wanted list dependent on wages.

As for going through it again we are still in it and the TV rights money goes down a next year so we need out of this league now otherwise we will be stuck like shef weds, Not For, Boro, you need to spend money because the parachute payments from relegated PL clubs makes the playing field uneven! !

Been in Leeds today and i saw Sanchez Watt and he told me he WILL be signing for Leeds on a 3-year deal as his contract is up at Arsenal and it won't be renewed for next season.

Please if your going to leave your rumours on this site, can u at least spell players names right.
And also i have heard a rumour that Keith Southern wanted to join in january but Blackpool wouldn't let him go, and he is set to reject there new contract offer and join Leeds on a free transfer, also he played for Grayson when he was the manager of Blackpool.

If your going to make a rumour make sure your facts are right, Keith Southern sign a contract with Blackpool earlier in the week!

I am the person who left the above rumour and yes a one year extension has been activated on his contract and also they have done the same with Charlie Adam, does this mean he's staying, don't think so and just because he has had a further year added on to his contract doesn't mean we can't sign if anything we can get him cheaper than if he was on a three year deal.
