Hereing good vibes that a big investment is close. Not from saudi prince though. Redbull are the company in question. As we know haigh has been in talks with redbull for a while and today refused to deny the claim that a deal could be imminent.

I think bated being sacked is more to do with trying to attract more investment. Bates obviously deterring them.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think it was actually a case of GFH looking for an excuse to sack him and kill two birds with one stone (ie rid us of Bates and open the way for investment).

Fortunately Bates gave them the opportunity.

How anyone could justify half a million kid of OUR money for him to travel in luxury to games for three years, and not even have to pay to get in defies belief.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, I think an opportunity arose and they took it. They are no fools, they know what the fans think of him and what potential investors think of him.

The facts are that mr Bates is no longer at the club. The closing down of Yorkshire radio without notice was an insult to staff and fans. this is an own goal by GFh. With a bit of inagination and good business acumen the station could have turned it self around. It was unique as no other English club had a 24 /7 club radio station. The fans panel indicated that the fans could have had a great say in the future. Thom and Eddie were dire hard Leeds fans and will be greatly missed. GFh change your mind relaunch the station. This is a big mistake tv radio Leeds caters for all Yorkshire but will not provide 24/7 publicity for Leeds football club or provide a service the fans deserve. ironically mr Bates may have left an unique station with the potential in the future to provide Leeds fans with something to be proud off. The station has to reopen and the fans must make sure it happens. James a disgusted Leeds fan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Forget yorkshire radio man bet fans use this as a excuse now not to go to any games bates is gone you stay aways said you would be back when he went time to step up

Agree0 Disagree0

The reason why Yorkshire Radio was shut down was because the club were having to heavily subsidise the running of the station as it made a significant loss every year it was running.

Agree0 Disagree0

The fans want more money to be pumped into players than Bates' business interests. Yorkshire radio was one of these business interests that was losing £600k p. a. They have taken a tough decision but the right one for the club. In my mind they are listening to the fans wishes and acting upon it.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's money saved and can be spent else where, plus radio Leeds will be paying for the privilege to broadcast the games so it's a win win situation

Just to let leeds fans know, because of Yorkshire radio going off air people outside of the leeds region might be wondering how they can listen to live lufc football without having broadband. if you have access to tuneln radio go onto there and search radio leeds, I am out of region but can receive it clearly, even on my android phone so don't worry fans. gfh playing dirty tricks to get people to subscribe to lutv it won't work.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Its not a dirty trick, its because yorkshire radio was losing money. They know commentary is on radio leeds.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dirty tricks what a stupid comment to make don't you realise in the 7 years yorkshire radio has been going its been losing money all the time bates took a loan out just to keep it going thank god gfh bought the club when they did

Agree0 Disagree0

Its simple if you can't listen to it then show your support to the club and start buying tickets to many of are fans moaning at anything best fans in the world about time we started showing it

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi guys, I'm a fan from australia. You were saying radio leeds but searched it on tunein radio and d it came up with radio dream leeds or leeds indie radio. Excuse the ignorance but is it known as anything else? Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi I'm also in Australia and can get Radio Leeds on Tune In, just keep trying mate and you will find it. just hope we get full commentary as Yorks radio used to go of just prior to kick of. MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

If you search the internet it is possible to get lutv for free I watched the Nurnberg game on there the quality was excellent as well

For sale- 1 dab radio in good working order a few dings when kicked after bad result!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Keep hold of it. You'll need something to kick next season with pre-season going the way it is. Better an obsolete radio then the cat.

Mr Happy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ask Ken he might buy it off you for nothing, then charge you for listening to it and then sue you for not letting him rip you off in the first place.

Agree0 Disagree0

More than a few dings then?

Agree0 Disagree0

Only a few dings lad? Can't have listened much in recent times.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think radio leeds is also on dab

Some people simply believe every thing they read or see, Saudi Prince come on really give ye heads a shek. We are no nearer to getting huge investment than we are getting into the Prem League, It really is time some of you guys took your blinkered rose tinted glasses off, we are stuck in this league for a couple more years yet at the very least, I do believe we are building from the very bottom and it is going to take time and BMD is the right man to do it. GFH as bad as Bates fans listened to Yorkshire Radio for matches and up to date gossip about Leeds Now if they want to listen to the game its website or nothing unless you get Radio Leeds can;t see fans getting Radio Leeds in other parts of the country.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You can listen to Radio Leeds online, this is accessible anywhere in the world.

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldnt get yorkshire radio in other parts of the country for match commentary unless you had LUTV so not much different, can listen to radio Leeds online just the same without having LUTV

Agree0 Disagree0

You can get Radio leeds online!

Just a quick question for every one (eds included), don't want anybody taking sides or anything but. Q- Do you think fans should be boycotting Leeds utd instead of going and supporting them? Let me know what you think people!
Believable= yes boycott
Unbelievable= no don't boycott {Ed013's Note - Support the bloody team, you only live once and whilst success is not guaranteed straight away, it will take time. When things get better you can say "I was there through the tough times" I understand some people cant get to the games or afford to, but for those that can, a couple of hours on a Sat gives you time with the team you love, your mates for a beer/soft drink and hopefully a relief from this fast World we live in (although sometimes you come away more stressed!)
So many people wanted Bates to go, now it is time to support the club and give GFH the chance to turn it round, give them the chance to get rid of the unwanted players on long contracts and support Brian. Lets not forget, they want to make money and the only way to make big bucks is to get this club into the Premier League. Sometimes it does feel like a chore going, but there are so many fans that would love to go, but can't. Lets also remember Brian has a 3 year deal which is good for the club and I honestly think there is a 2 year plan to have a right good go at the league, unfortunately Brian has 5-6 players on big contracts that he has to work with until they can move on. Support the team and as the song goes, Marching On TOGETHER}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well said Ed, I wish I could make the game On Sat. It souns like its going to be a big crowd, and Elland rd is going to be rocking
Aldo B
MOT {Ed013's Note - Around 28,000 so far mate}

Agree0 Disagree0

I totally agree Ed. Can remember being back in the 2nd division in the 80's when we really had some dross playing for us and going no-where. Was still there when Sgt Wilko signed Strachen, Vinnie etc and we were great, especially when all the kids came through.
Stay with the team through thick or thin. We are Leeds and we march on together!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, we'll said Ed. Some of us don't have the luxury of getting in the car and going to every game. Have to plan, boats and coaches and hotels! And not cheap either!
If you have a choice to go or not go I know what I would be doing!
MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love to be going to ER. Just shelled out a small fortune for IVF though. Got to support the team through thick or thin. Will be saving to head to a few games this season. MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

What are you on about boycotting now for?!

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said Ed. Totally agree with you. Over the last 8 years it has really been a chore to drive for 2. 5 hours to see some really questionable performances then to drive all the way back cussing and ripping, whilst listening to one of Leeds legends trying to diffuse and obfuscate fans ringing in to complain about what we've paid to see. As if we didn't really see that dross on display and still turn up the following week because somehow "this week'll be different"!
Well I firmly believe this season'll be different. see you Saturday

Jedburgh White

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said ed, great times are ahead for this club. I have supported them like you through thick and thin. I live in devon now but am intouch with the club every day, either through rumours, news now and radio/tv. I go when I can, (last game was against peterboro)never have I felt in the last 8 years, that not just the team but the whole club is moving forward. What an inspiration bmc is. Not sure about gfh at the start, but when you look at the progress so far. Its true this club has a big fanbase and the club is listening to us all, not being dictated to by the oppressive mr bates. The only jet flight the club should pay for is one way to monaco. Mr bates you could have been so popular, your love of money was too important to you.!! {Ed013's Note - Most football fans don't understand the Leeds United connection, its part of your life once you are hooked}

Agree0 Disagree0

ED, which are the 5 or 6 players. Just curious is all, I would say:
Kenny,
Diouf,
McCormack
Peltier

I ask as it would be interesting to know, which you would move on. {Ed013's Note - My opinion would be Brown, Tonge, Peltier, Hall and Pugh. If they could move on then wages would be available for better signings. Kenny and Drury are another 2 in my opinion that could be moved on. This is just my opinion and will support the 11 on the pitch who ever Brian picks. If Norris was to leave I would keep Tonge}

Agree0 Disagree0

I bet most of these only have 1 year left on their contracts, so undoubtedly we will be in a better position next year. Hence the "2 year" promotion plan.

agree on Kenny, although is a good keeper, can ealsiy be replaced. Pugh, Drury and Brown just seem surplus.

Agree0 Disagree0

NO boycott from me. I will be there for my first game in 3 years. Thoroughly agree with Ed's pov on this and will buy him a beer in Billy's if he wears something that makes him stand out.

Hoping for a solid 3 points no matter who plays. {Ed013's Note - Haha cheers mate, I will be in The White Hart prior to the game, appreciate the offer, MOT}

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldn't agree more with u ed, and the other guys who replied, I only threw that's question out there because some clown on the rumours page in replys to McCormack going for 750k has said it and I say it's wrong, go have a look for urself people, I can't understand the guy

Agree0 Disagree0

Its very simple true fans support them in good and bad times. if you choose to boycott then you ain't a real fan as that ain't what fans do.

Agree0 Disagree0

The fans filling up ellland road can be the difference between winning and losing so let's sell out against brighton and take it from there

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think any IS boycotting any more, there's no reason to.

. we may not be able to get there every week, but it doesn't mean we are deliberately staying away!

I'll be up there first chance I get.

Agree0 Disagree0

"if you choose to boycott then you ain't a real fan as that ain't what fans do. "

. unfortunately it's probably DUE to so many fans starting to boycott that the recent changes are starting to take place, so you might like to thank some of the people rather than continue to berate them?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well over 30. 000 tickets sold surly on the os looks like their a couple thousand

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would I want to thank stay away fans are you for real all your doing is hurting the club by not going don't you realise if fans don't turn up where is the money going to come from get a grip

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed, it's been a long long while since I have been in there but I might just give it a looking at. If I do i'll shout for Ed? It's always nice to meet new folks, See thee Saturday

Agree0 Disagree0

It's a shame we can't all pull in the same direction even though we support the same club! :- (

Agree0 Disagree0

Fans were boycotting to get rid over Bates but he's gone because of his own arrogance & greed, not because of fans boycotting games so don't think those who boycotted can claim the glory for that one!
