Would like to see Henri Lansbury at Leeds. Helped win promotions for both Norwich and West Ham whilst on loan. Add a bit of creativity to what is looking like a pretty solid midfield.

Beckford been told by Leicester he can leave, apparently warnock is keen to sign him as a fans favourite and a suitor to his style of play, seen as he signed for 2.5 million then 1.5 to 2 million should be enough for Leicester to sell in my opinion, throw another winger into the mix, Templeton or Boyd? And then sign crainie then we have a serious team of grafters and flair combined

Cant see us signing any wingers as we already have white, rogers ,varney and mccormack can play out wide if needed .
we really need 1 striker and rb and then we need some flair and creativity but don't see where there has been left space for this type of player unless we are to play 1 striker on his own which then means whats the point of getting a new striker unless mccormack goes as we have becchio, gray ,mccormack and somma when fit and maybe even 1 of the youngsters might get a chance but very much doubt it. midfield is looking strong defensively but not very strong attacking though
Not sure what formation your thinking of, but why would you be expecting us to play in the same formation all season anyway ? Btw beckfords a striker.

Thoughts on your top 3 targets? For me its Boyd or Templeton, Peltier and BECKFORD! Might need to re-name club at this rate - think 7 portsmouth players is more then enough

With Warnock stating on the OS that ''Ross can go only if there is a player exchange'' strikes me that he is not looking anywhere else..........worrying statement

I disagree cos I think a marquee striker is on the cards WITH McCormack in NW's plans

I just heard that Leeds United are subect to a takeover. Is this just a rumour? :-) I am beginning to think it is a rumour planted by Mitt Romney. He is into upsetting people these days. London not ready for the Olympics? Get real Mitt. Good luck Britain and of course the USA

Where do the lewis mcgugan transfer rumours come from or is it merely fans wishing for him to come to us?
Cheers

Well, I will be honest, just my opinion, but Crainie at CB? NW has described him on YEP as ''a steady player, a squad player''. I hope therefore he is not considered an 'icing' signing. As a squad player, fine. But in reality we need another quality CB (on top of Crainie), a RB, a wide player and one striker, possibly 2 strikers if McCormack leaves.
Eddie Gray worried me by saying in YEP NW would still bring in '0ne, maybe two more'. We need more than that if we want to make a concerted and confident stab at promotion! Thats just being honest. On the basis that we are expecting a takeover and have just sold Snoddy for 3mill, we need to be honest and say we need another 4/5 players and they need to be PROPER ICING. Thus far other than maybe Austin and possibly Varney, I think we have signed good team men, squad men and not the players that will make the difference.
I just hope that NW gets the backing and the funds amongst the confusion re take over to 'Ice the cake'. I hope it is quality icing that makes the cake better, not cheap, sugary nasty icing that makes the cake poor in quality.
I'd say Pearce and Austin are the quality signings so far, however I would like to see Peltier come in at right back and then another centre back with Cranie as 4th choice centre back and second choice right back.
As long as we sign an impressive winger and striker I'm happy!
Eddie Gray is offering his opinions. He isn't in the "know"
I think Pearce is the strongest signing but what worries me about the signings to date is the lack of creativity. I understand why Warnock felt the need to get in solid players, the defence was definitely Grayson's blind spot, but we seem to have thrown away the part of Grayson's team which was working well, the flair players like Gradel, Snoddy, Howson and, dare I say it, Clayton (he'll get better and more consistent with experience). If McCormack goes we'll be left with a solid defensive unit short on ideas. Still time yet though - ever optimistic.
Lets be honest Eddie Gray knows about as much as we do when it comes to Warnock and targets
Creativity doesnt matter, warnock likes his workhorses, they do a good job
We didn't " throw away " Howson, Johnson & Snodgrass, they left because they wanted perm football. Clayton went missing more than Reggie Perrin.

A little song for Howson and Snodgrass - I don't include Jermaine Beckford at all - everybody knew it wouldn't last in the Premier League and after being a windscreen fitter, Wealdstone, Scunthorpe, Leeds and Everton come knockong, at his age - sound career move - I don't think he'll come back but I wouldn't be against it , and as for Neil Kilkenny - even when he played for us with no hint of leaving I thought he was a nasty little s*it of a man, screaming and shouting and tantrumming at our own players, arrogant little man and thought it was hilarious he chose to further his career at Bristol City lol
anyway:
Forever and Ever, we'll follow our team, we're Leeds United, we rule supreme, we'll never be mastered, by you, by you greedy b*stards, we'll keep the white flag flying high...
Howson and snodgrass were vital in our promotion back to the championship i think their career choice should be respected. yes they were being paid more, but the lure of the prem is big for anyone. we should be chanting their name like we do for beckfords goal at scum trafford
They were all young anothe to give Leeds that little extra comitment. Howson, i really thought would give that little bit more for the club, he supposedly support since a child. I think i speak for everyone here by saying. If we had the chance to play for LUFC. We would do it for love not just the money because it is in are blood. We would also want to play at the top of the game aswell but i would still want to be remembered for what i did that went down in LUFC HISTORY.
So lets give these new lads are full support and show them what it means to play for the mighty whites.
SGT WARNOCKS BARMY ARMY!!

Feel strongly, sorry, Jonny was Leeds born & bred and still a nipper AND Captain - swing ropes over the stream, British Bull Dogs Charge, Nicking Apples - to dream of Captaining Leeds - footballers today...theres still gems out there - and nobody should mock Andy Gray just cos he's 34 - on the bench, last few minutes, league cup etc - here is the nephew of a legend (son of a legend ?!?) who was possibly the most desperate & eager man in the squeed to pull on the white shirt - people should think along the lines of Hughes & Robinson not Lees & White....Snodgrass is a top bird that left us for a weedy knob with a flash car and Howson was the girl next door that left us for the same geezer...I'm stoned LOL
Lol well put, i say lol cos i posted a rant which due to my state wasn't as nicely formulated as your good self's but was along the same lines
