How come Bellusci was on bench last night when he picked up his 5th booking at Forest.

Great debut post. Does your real name rhyme with Men Hates?

Think MC may be a very clever man. I do not think his argument is really with Sky but with the FL. The contract between them both is supposed to benefit all teams in the championship. FL refused to release details of contract when asked. By having a stand off with Sky they have released viewing figures and stats etc that prove this is not the case. When Derby, Wolves, us have been on tv 7 0r 8 times getting over 750,000 in tv payments Preston, Rotherham etc. have been on twice. How is that fair, so the clubs with the biggest income get more money while the strugglers get the bits. Hardly the FL looking after all its members eh.
Think Cellino is trying to show the FL for what it is, self serving and biased.

How can that be when Shauny boy is in charge? Are you implying even the merest hint that he is anything other than a shining beacon of scrupulous fairness?

So MC is looking out for the so called smaller club in championship? I must be missing something or just pissed!

31 Dec 2015 09:41:45
As far as I am aware all championship clubs get an equal share of Sky TV money (albeit nothing compared to what PL clubs get) and those who have game shown receive a match fee which would recompense for the loss of fans. A Sky TV game affects our crowd of between 3 to 5k therefore the match fee just about balances the ticket income but does not compensate for the loss on refreshments and merchandise.

31 Dec 2015 13:44:01
Ah but if home club gets 100,000 grand for televised match should that not be shared equally also. And ticket prices are something else they should be looking at. And when sky move match days also, local games not much of a problem but when u got a 200 mile round trip its a piss take.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Dec 2015 15:01:49
I believe all sky games should be worked out at the most twice a season. All kick off times should then be set in stone. As bad as it is for people like ourselves Bige, think about fans from abroad who make the special journey and have to re - arrange hotel rooms. The football league must do more to protect clubs and fans.

I like the way we are playing now and top marks to Steve Evans for turning around an average looking side into a possible top six team but: although our defence has been better we are still way off a tight defence my heart was in my mouth every time Derby attacked but bearing in mind the games they have played I'm pretty happy still nt sure Bamba is the answer makes silly mistakes.

Agree PW I think I mentioned to hesslian that Bamba was slightly better than bellusci but I'm not convinced by either Bamba or bellusci I think we have to get in a top quality no nonsense disciplined defender to partner Cooper, and he will need to battle it out with bellusci and Bamba depending on form.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Dec 2015 20:32:19
To be honest, right now I would prefer Bellusci to Bamba, shame we didn't get Sol a few years earlier, he is too easy to catch out unfortunately.

Hello people, just like to say that finally our goalkeeping coach is finally getting through to marco, over the last 4-6 games he has started to come for crosses and catch as a pose to punch, and twice now he has come racing off his line and dive at the strikers feet, slowly but surely starting to command his box, his improvement has been noticeable, (will forgive him the forrest goal I blame bellusci for that mix up) to go with his outstanding shot stopping he is developing into a top notch young keeper, I predict international call will soon come his way.

You are correct DJ. I meant to post something similar the other day. I'd almost given up on him ever learning to come for crosses, and catch a ball. And last night he was even b*llocking the defenders. Total transformation, its great.

Loving the positive feel around the place at the mo and did anyone see the subs celebrating with Wood after his goal? Superb! Have noticed the upturn in results have co-incided with a bit more steel in the mid field with Bridcutt and Adeyemi and Dallas and even Byram working hard. I just fear if we lose Sam and Botaka comes in that he's a bit Adryian esque ie too light weight. Hope I'm wrong but for me success in this league comes from graft graft graft the Evans way. Not negative just constructive criticism so let's keep fighting and we'll get there in the end I'm sure! MOT.

To be honest Degsy, I'm now feeling so confident in Big Steve that I'm sure with MC's backing, he will sort out proper replacements for anyone who doesn't stay.
I'm embarrassed to say again that I hated him before he came, but he's got my total admiration now, even though I realise we will still have games where we lose or play poo.

Due to Leeds not being as close to the play offs as cellino wants, he is going to spend less money this window, and Evans has targetted these two league one players: romaine sawyers and donervan Daniels, as well as league two player josh windass.

I hope the information you have is wrong leedsyar as we need some experienced players to help our current crop of outstanding youngsters . We definitely don't need to buy more players that are playing in. Lower league.

What about Patrick Bamford on loan from Chelsea, he is in the process of terminating his loan contract with crystal palace.

And if we lose a midfielder in January why not get Tom Carrol or Alex Pritchard in from Tottenham or Gedion Zalem from Arsenal, or we could even push for Jordan rossiter from Liverpool.

I agree with comments about Wooten is starting to show the promise we had in him when we bought him, As it is clear Bamba/ Belussci can't form a effective centre half partnership with Cooper what do you think about giving Wooten ago at playing centre half with Beratdi at right when he is fit again.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

30 Dec 2015 14:04:31
Keep wootton at RB until Beradi gets fit, still prefer Beradi and get another CB in. He might go back to being a liability if played at CB.
Priority signing though is a striker.

30 Dec 2015 14:17:28
Why not put Wooten In the centre and put Coyle at RB, or sign a new RB in January.

30 Dec 2015 15:12:17
Thanks Lucas, I am afraid I would have to disagree with your suggestion. If we another centre back that would mean we have effectively 5 centre halves on the books, this is too many and feel the money could be better spent on strengthening the side and I would suggest we use the money by putting it towards buying Bridcutt.

Some of the players who were getting slaughtered on here for performances e. g. Wootton are now starting to play well, Great job being done by S E . He knows his football and deserves a proper go with the right financial backing . Would like to see the new additions in now so they can bed in for next season and a big push, MOT, WALL, ULDTP and a Happy New Year.

I cannot believe Sol Bamba was awarded man of the match. Nice bloke but gifted them the first, partly responsible for the second and tried his best to give them a third. The Bamba - Cooper partnership seems incapable of conceding less than three goals a game. They are extremely suspect when the ball is played on the ground - they're fine with high balls played in from deep but that's it. Wooton had an excellent defensive game but, being a centre half, he gives us very little going forward and that is a big handicap for this team at the moment. Good result. We need to beat the Dons to have the best Christmas period for years.

Agreed Hesslian, I thought Bridcutt was MOM. Bamba made some good tackles but was at fault for the first goal and dithered on the ball late on to almost present a chance for Derby to win the game.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Dec 2015 11:20:41
Hesslian agree that Wooton doesn't offer much going forward but he is an excellent defender in recent games and as you say we need to defend better so for me a full back who can defend is better than one who can't, ideally someone like Taylor would be great but if we don't have another one in squad then Wooton in side on merit.

Ok people. as brucie would say, Good Game Good Game! seriously though enjoyed the game, I was gutted we couldn't hang on for the 3 points which I think we just about shaded, I was proud of the boys tonight! to say I was sitting there disappointed thinking we have dropped 2 points against Derby is not a bad mindset people!
I have to eat humble pie with regards to scott wooton who along with a few fellow banters on here have lambasted the poor fellow, he was solid and Pro and is starting to look like a good championship defender tonight he is getting better and more assured as each game goes by, I have not always been a fan but credit to the young man! we are building people that is the IN word, we are definitely building and big Stevie is the one to lead us at this moment in time! peace fellow leeds Sufferers and a Very happy new year to you all from Moi MOT.
