Why do the media keep saying Evans going to be sacked when his contract is up.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

02 May 2016 23:28:00
Because they are dumb.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2016 22:44:53
Wonder will spurs and their players face any disciplinary action for their shenanigans tonight or will the FA ignore it. If it was Leeds we'd be docked points for the next 10 years.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed003's Note - I think the scenes afterwards can't be ignored wex.}

02 May 2016 23:19:20
And during the game kicking out at players, stamping on hands and poking players eyes disgraceful.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2016 23:48:09
At least the incident contributed to the spectacle
In fact it was all rather spectocular
I think the incident showed who was master and pupil
Glaring error by the lino
Short-sighted from Dembele.

03 May 2016 00:01:34
if doukara got 8 game ban dembele should get at least 10 for the gouge on costa.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 May 2016 12:14:01
He won't get anywhere near. But I'd put his actions as worse than Suarez bite. He could have blinded another player.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 May 2016 13:28:15
I'd like to see him receive a 15 game ban. That is appropriate in my view and a huge fine.

02 May 2016 22:16:50
Mad Mick have a good tip for you get on Everton at 3/ 1 this weekend Leicester on the sauce.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

03 May 2016 08:47:12
Could be worth a punt wex.

02 May 2016 22:15:44
Where is our Ranieri, MC? Why would you not go for a coach/ manager of top-level pedigree, with a lot of experience, who is intelligent, articulate and hungry to succeed! Come on. well time to get it right!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

02 May 2016 22:23:46
You get what you can afford mourinio is available.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 May 2016 05:41:52
poor post what has ranieri ever won? prefer se.

Agree0 Disagree1

03 May 2016 11:12:30
As Wex said "You get what you can afford" and therefore we have to try to find head coaches in their infancy who can be a future Mourinho. We are not in the market to find the finished article. If who Cellino is looking at is no better than Evans then he should stick with him, however I suspect Ranieri has won far more in his career than Steve Evans.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 May 2016 12:31:49
what idiot disagreed with my post? Steve Evans got rotherham promoted from league 1, when did renairi even get a team promoted from league one? old fat man also has won many a pie eating contest unlike old tin ribs raneiri. old tinkerman has come second but never got his team first passed the line and at his age I doubt he ever will.

03 May 2016 13:19:26
BW, I did because you are talking nonsense again!

Agree0 Disagree0

03 May 2016 13:53:05
me nonsense, never, you have offended my honor you scoundrel and for this we fight at dawn! I shall see you in the centre of of Notts city centre where we shall duel to the death, you get to pick the weapon of choice from pistols (with out the bullets) , lead pipping (or any other cludo weapons) or spoons. talk nonsese I have never heard such rubbish in my life.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 May 2016 17:54:28
no reply notts has lead me to believe you are either running scared or pratcing your spoon fighting skills. Either way you shall regret saying I talk nonsense, also I do not know notts very well, can you point me to the local spoons and maybe reconise a nice place to eat, somewhere not too pricey but that has a nice amboince.

Might be a little premature but spurs are losing the plot looks like it is congratulations Leicester City.

Well done Leicester. Gives us all belief in our dreams.

02 May 2016 20:25:12
burnley promoted with joey barton. don't like the man and not saying we'd have got promoted with him BUT whilst being a fan of Massimo I feel we definitely missed a trick ala barton. the whole team and especially the midfield lads would imo have learned game management with barton around the place which would have stood them in good stead for our future. whilst being a fan of mc, as I've posted before this summer is massive for many peoples opinion of him, including my own. please don't let us down mass! see you all at preston on Saturday! MOT.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

02 May 2016 21:06:08
agree barton great player at this level both on pitch and in dressing room, don't like him as person but good player.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2016 21:21:35
Agree would have done a job but do we know what wage he would have needed? Burnley have way more cash than us but I'm guessing he would be on around 30k a week? We can't realistically afford that.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2016 21:49:54
fair point dg, was only thinking from football side because fosters has kicked in now!

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2016 22:45:04
Teams that speculate have a chance. We didn't and have finished were we deserve. Cellino must see this, this summer is his chance to make a statement. Big players = optomism. Something we have lacked for years.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 May 2016 08:17:21
Agree all the above
Barton more than all the others linked would have made a difference. Maybe not Enough but some. Fair play burnley for ignoring what a silly man he is.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2016 20:08:07
Walter Zenga, our new watermelon. Cheaper version of Cannavaro.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

02 May 2016 20:16:37
Will suit cellino as he's never stayed long at any club he's managed longest stint bring 2 years and has been at 15 clubs in as many years.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2016 21:04:04
What this club needs is a former Italian goalkeeper as coach. Pathetic.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2016 22:29:39
I think you'll find his name is Pathetico actually!

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2016 22:43:19
Zenga perfect for Cellino. Out of work and averages a year at every club (15 in total) . Moves on because of what? certainly not, success? How is that an improvement on Big Steve? Except that he must keep his mouth shut and not talk back to the teacher.
I also wish the posts would stop saying "Leeds United wants". Correctly, it's "Cellino wants"

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2016 22:59:24
Think we'll get linked with any Italian who has ever managed. Just a sick joke. Hopefully!

Agree0 Disagree0

03 May 2016 10:00:33
leodis why you posts stop saying leeds want and cellino wants, surely this is how football works the chairman picks his man, or do other clubs take a democtratic vote to pick the next manager? Also some people are jumping on this, we all say how silly paper stories are yet angrily jump on them when we don't like the story.

I suggest we all just chill take a step back and wait and see what happens, then see the new manager mess up then cause a riot.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2016 18:08:50
At first I thought of 20 mill but success can come cheaper. Yes we need additions (min 3 if not to be lavish with the funds) but a good defensive coach drilling concentration (from minute one) and a strong mentality. Cut out the silly mistakes, don't give the ball away, for 90 plus minutes, life would be good. Look at the stats a few less giveaway draws we would be in the playoffs.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

02 May 2016 18:25:18
Agreed leodis we are not far away shrewdness will be better than splashing the cash.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2016 18:32:11
great point about defensive coach, we are shambolic at times. wonder what lucas is up to?!

Agree1 Disagree0

02 May 2016 20:23:27
Agree, best of what we have properly coached and 5 to 10 mill properly invested would make us proper contenders . My thoughts then would be towards quality strength in debt.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2016 17:59:06
If he had have scored a hatrick it would have been nice to see fanni splashed all over the front page?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

02 May 2016 18:08:28
Come again, leodis?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he certainly would have if Fanni had been splashed all over the front page....}

02 May 2016 19:00:17
Lol Ed001. Would've made for a tasty edition.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - not if you had his edition after he had come again.}

02 May 2016 15:49:58
Lots on here talking about spending 20 million in order to push for playoffs next season. Sorry to disappoint but we can forget about that happening. I'd be very pleased if we spend 10 million and spend it wisely. But seriously lads 20 million is not going to happen.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

02 May 2016 16:15:31
i wouldn't want us to spend that much, if we spent 20 mill and didn't go up what would happen to the club. I know I seem less ambitious that most on here but I just worry about the consiquences of failure, only three teams can go up and if we go for bust and are not one to go up what then? after the rollercoaster decade we have had some meidcore is ok with me for a little while.

Agree2 Disagree2

02 May 2016 16:59:40
£20 million needs to be spent but won't be spent.

Agree2 Disagree1

02 May 2016 17:06:26
If we were spending 20 million it would be automatic promotion I'd be talking about. In fairness this season with a bit of luck and you need a bit of luck sometimes we could have been nearer a playoff place so I'm not sure we need too much more a couple of clever signings a leader at the back, a leader in midfield and a natural goal scorer . Sometimes they don't cost millions. Look at Leicester.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2016 17:07:47
Guys
We've been through this. Don't think spending 20m would break us in event of a failed promotion bid. Ffp rules are a concern but so are good players refusing to sign contracts and leaving on bosmans. We must also decide to pay higher salaries.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 May 2016 17:31:27
Why wouldn't spending 20 million not break us George.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2016 17:38:50
Lot of negatives in your question wex.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2016 17:59:40
lack of answers in your answer George. I know we have gone over it but I fail to see how a broke championship club with no ground or training facilites, that has been 'leaking money for years and nearly went out of business can spend 20 mill, some prem clubs have not spent 20 mill but for leeds this would be ok? I can not see how this is the case.

MC said the club was in a bad way and until now he has had to paper over cracks and make sure the ship of leeds can float. I expect slight improvement but to use a large figure is bit niaeve in my opinion. we just not in that place at the moment also let's say we could spend that if you was MC would you. if I owned a badly run itailan club and got the stick some of which I deresved and some of which I did not and my family where also abused I would sturggle to give anything. also if leeds go up a lot of clauses come into effect which in somes ways puts the club in even more debt so promotion would have to come on a budget, which is the case for a lot of clubs in far better place than us.

What other champ clubs are saying. right so let's spend 20 mill. one maybe if that? if no one is spending this kind of money there must be a reason.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2016 18:00:57
Not many answers in your reply I know you have legal qualifications just not sure if you have anything in finance.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2016 18:46:33
You don't need to spend 20 m to have a chance, spend 2-3 million on a key forward and defender and look at stats/ what you want the shape of team to be and buy lower league quick/ fit players as your other what 4-5 players we need.

Get best defence coach you can afford/ find and give players incentives for top 6/ promotion.

I agree with the posts that say spending 20m is very unlikely but as long as we spend more than we did last summer ( how much did we spend last summer about? ) especially in key areas then we will be in a better place, well hopefully.

02 May 2016 14:00:01
I have a season ticket in the East Stand lower. I have been told by others in the same row that we are to be moved out/ re located next season. If true, is this to accommodate more hospitality boxes? Does anybody on the site have any information?

02 May 2016 18:23:59
i am only joking mate, in response to your comment further down, I agree i'm not a big fan of any of them (i don't mind cooper) I also agree in a perfect world bamba should not be in the team. I do have a personal dislike of bell which probably taints my views so I do see you points.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 May 2016 18:57:05
Ok but what are you going to do about my seat for next season? I've spoken to Bell but I can't get any sense out of him. I've already been relocated from the upper tier to the lower tier I'll be on the pitch next. Might be blessing in disguise. I haven't worn my boots in anger for a few years but I still might be able to impress SE given some of the squad he has.
