When was the last time we kept 3 consecutive clean sheets?

Believable18 Unbelievable0

Surely the more important question is can we keep a fourth? I will take that with leicester next up.

Crowd today a disgrace! 19,000. Teams like Charlton and Wednesday even beat our crowd. can't wait to hear certain responces about why crowd so low because of Bates etc etc. We nowhere top average attendances in championship anymore. Not even biggest in Yorkshire! MOT.

Believable14 Unbelievable1

Quite simple -

(1) Adult tickets start from £27.

(2) Millwall bring less than 100 fans

(3) Standard of football. poor.

= low attendance.

Agree11 Disagree1

Do you not think its down to the £30 to watch mediocre football?

Agree8 Disagree1

One reason crowd was low was that Milwall only brought 90 fans up. Had there been 2000-3000 in away end it would have looked like decent turn out

Agree2 Disagree0

Bet you wasnt one of the 19k there yesterday as for why fans aren't turning up its obvious ticket prices are sky high I mean cat a for a game against millwall is beyond a joke really is.

Agree5 Disagree0

I been saying for ages about our crowds. We not a big club anymore. For godsake even brighton are hammering our crowds. But we will be back! MOT

Agree1 Disagree1

I posted the second reply, yes I was there yesterday as I have a season ticket. In all honesty I think it feels worse now because we expected little else under Bates, but the takeover made everyone hope again, hope that we might sign some half decent football players. However that didn't happen. I watched a version of football yesterday, but a poor imitation. Both sides were seriously lacking quality. Morison was brought in a striker, but I watched him yesterday, his positioning is appalling, he seemed of the pace, and when ever the ball broke in the box, he was nowhere to be found. This team is average throughout, we lack pace. The only bright light for me is the back five. If we can keep this together and bring in a few creative players. who knows.

Agree3 Disagree1

To the geezer who says I wasnt there yesterday he is right. But I have been to 5 homes games and 3 away this season and I have to travel from Cork Ireland these days. So I shall reiterate that I think our attendances are disgraceful for a large city and smaller clubs like charlton brighton derby and even wednesday are killing our crowds. By the way brighton and charltons prices are more or less the same as ours! We have too many fairweather fans and not supporters of our great club and reading certain banter just confirms it all!!!

I would just like to put this out there for all of the doom am gloom merchants that are often among us Leeds fans.

If we beat Leicester and Palace in our next 2 games that would put us on 55 points which is a mere 6 points behind Palace sat in 4th and 8 points behind Watford in 3rd! This season is only just beginning ladies am gentlemen and after 3 clean sheets on the bounce and 3 decent displays I, for one, am insanely confident! MOT!

Youngie!

Believable13 Unbelievable11

Insanely stupid

Agree3 Disagree1

Very true but I think it's overly optomistic to think we'll win both those games. If we get 3-4 points out of the 6 I will be more than happy.

All we need at the moment is Ross to start putting them away again and we'll have a good chance of top 6 finish MOT

Agree0 Disagree0

If is a big word mate that's all we have said all season if we beat these we will go up what aload of rubbish we ain't good enough simple as that i'm already looking to next season

Agree1 Disagree0

But did you noyice Brighton, in sixth place, and the teams between us and them all won. so all Saturday acheived was one game less to get to sixth. would be possible if we were seventh, but 3 other teams who have all played better than us all season (well they have more Points) all have to fail at to let us in. keep hoping but be realistic please.

Doom and Gloom merchant or realist? is there a difference? Basically we are being used by Warnock as his last shot at the record books! We are stagnating with a short term manager with short term idea's. A new manager will not want half this squad, is there any forward planning going on at all? who knows! I would like to think there is behind the scenes but the last 9 years suggest not. Why are we not signing a winger? has Warnock decided he does not want to upset the team or has he been told he can not have any money because he is going soon? I would think more likely the latter. I do not like my club being used as a play thing but I feel that is what's happening and GFH seem to be allowing it to happen or are they? it would be nice to find out one way or the other.

I wrote back in the transfer window that all u leeds fan were moaning that we did not get wood because he went to Leicester and I said we could not compete at paying them sort of wages and that it would be Leicester that would come a cropper with all the money they paying out well just goes to show how right I was as they are now 80 mil in debt and if they don't go up they will get relegated to division 1 because will av to sell all there player so if we don't go up we will be able to compete next season Leicester will not

Believable5 Unbelievable9

Is this the same Leicester who have just bought their stadium back for 17mil.

Agree6 Disagree0

How did u work out they 80m in debt

Agree2 Disagree0

Congratulations, your truly in the know

Agree2 Disagree0

A quick internet search will show the amount leicester are supposed to be in debt by. it may not be 80m but its not that far off

Job done. Just! Now let's all get behind Huddersfield! Lol
Bob. Wakefield

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Would like to see Morrison contribute more-doesnt look overly interested.

Agree4 Disagree5

Agree, thought Morrison was poor especially second half. A lot of walking around without enough chasing and competing however, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt a say down to poor match fitness. Thought he shouldve gone off for diouff, not Ross.

Not the bedt performance but three valuable points today. Hope Varney is ok

It would be nice to think that a former player - Danny Mills - could be a little bit more charitable.

Danny Mills shame on you - Varney is clearly injured and is not 'staying down'.

Bremer had to be the best player to pull on a white shirt. He had guts, he had heart and he had bucket loads of passion for the white shirt he wore. Would have been a super star even today

Believable13 Unbelievable0

Indeed - and the rest of his team mates - Allan Clarke, Norman Hunter, Joe Jordan, Paul Reaney, Gary Sprake, Jack Charlton, Peter Lorimer, Johnny Giles, David Harvey, Terry Yorath, Terry Cooper (have I forgotten anyone?)

Agree4 Disagree0

Mick Jones, Eddie Gray, Mick Bates - all great players in their day

Agree4 Disagree0

Gordon McQueen.

Agree0 Disagree0

. Paul Madeley

Agree1 Disagree0

Gordon McQueen, Trevor Cherry, Frank Gray and some of the reserves who stepped up when they had to like Rod Belfitt.

But how could you forget Paul Madeley? Madeley literally played in every position other than goal, wearing every shirt (2-12) in the days before squad numbers and was on our books from 1963-1980. Possibly the most versatile player in the history of the modern game. A true Leeds legend.

Agree2 Disagree0

What did Paul Madely do to get left out

Agree3 Disagree0

Can't believe you both missed Paul Madeley, LUFC's very own Rolls Royce of a footballer.

Fellow Fans.

Some great questions recently, so another one.

Who's the best player ever to pull on the mighty whites shirt?

I can't decide yet! {Ed013's Note - I know your instant thoughts are Varney and Brown, but lets give Brown a break. He has played well to be fair and if Varney had put some of these chances away he may have more of a backing from the fans}

Believable6 Unbelievable0

Been watching Leeds since 1968, but head says John Charles, world class at both CH and CF plus a great success in Italy. It has to be the "gentle giant".

I will go with billy bremner captain, leader, legend and whatever happened gave his all every game. I heard a quote he said once " every goal leeds concede is like a danger in my heart" now that's a true leeds player.

MOT

Agree7 Disagree0

Sorry about this. great question, but I found it impossible. so I had to go with a list for each decade.

60's -
Charles/Collins
70's - Bremner/Giles/Cooper/Gray/Yorath/
Currie/Clarke
80's - Batty/Speed
90's - McAllister/Chapman/Radabe/Yeboah/
Wallace
00's - Boyer/Smith/Martyn/ (Most will hate this. Kewell at the time. hate the Baztard now)
10"s - Beckford/Snodgrass

Johnny Giles. Never saw him play but with Johnny being my grandads best friend I have to go for him

Agree2 Disagree0

Got to be giles for me the best passer of a ball ever and that was the old ball with laces

Agree2 Disagree0

I agree billy bremner was the best leeds player ever I would have loved to see john charles play from the modern leeds teams I would say batty

Agree0 Disagree0

Tony dorigo for me.
