I'm liking the possibility that Pep might stay with us in one role or another. For me, him and Beattie in charge would be a risk worth taking

Agree speedy. I'd give PC and JB the job at this point. There's really no outstanding candidate for me outside of the football club.

I wouldn't have anything against pep n beats but would still love to see Ranieri given a run. He would be the outstanding candidate in my opinion. Even if he screws up, he'll increase the profile of the club massively. He could be the first piece in the jigsaw and have a better chance of signing higher profile players.

Agree Lucas. My dream team would be Ranieri keeping Pep and Beattie as his assistants

Wood over playing in my home city Belfast tonight. Dallas also playing. Both starting. Be interesting to see if wood is still goal hungry and if Dallas gets a full 90 . great to have a bit off football on a Friday night. Up the green and WHITES and down the pints. Sorry MM. lol. 👍⚽️⚽️⚽️😂

A report on wood tonight as captain off the New Zealand team against Norn Iron as we say in Belfast. Showed very little and not much effort. ( prob from lack off supply ) but disappointing to say the least . Dallas had a productive 1st half and got subbed shortly into 2nd half. Think manager seen enough to keep him fit for the qualifier next week in Baku . as he's usually a starter. Hope wood gets the buzz over the summer for next season or has he had a whimper off going elsewhere. Playing like that he won't have impressed any scouts. fingers crossed in all fronts. ⚽️⚽️⚽️👍

Happy Friday lads n lasses. Their seems to be a bit of angst on this site lately so I'm suggesting an online fight club to settle our differences. I'll go first with a good old fashioned Marquis of Queensbury rules toe to toe with Jeff, if he ever comes out of hiding. Next on the bill would be a mud wrestling bout between Speedy and BW followed by a pokey punch up between George and anyone of Corkie, Ausman, Wex or whoever else he's upset lately. The winner of that has to go in with Martyn - good luck with that one! Any more suggestions? Please remember the first rule of online fight club though - we don't talk about online fight club! MM

MM, I'll take 'em all on at same time. Actually, I have been trying hard not to upset posters. Me and Wex have got along fine for ages. He's a good guy. Always a little needle from the Aussie and Berm but nothing too invasive. Berm saves that for Speedy. I'm doing better with Cork and Cur but I realize they might want to fight me at any moment. Martyn would be good to watch. He's got to be the hardest on this site. Don't get ideas of infidelity Berm. Speedy don't deserve it.

MM. Think all this angst comes from boredom of no football. And btw, I'm a pervert not a fighter and rather have a tug than a scrap

I hate all clubs apart from Leeds United and very seldom talk about anyone else, but isn't this ridiculous. I copied it from a news site and it just shows what other clubs get away with. Just like QPR and their 60 mil debt that was dropped. This is Notts For new owner. WTF what a joke. Greek shipping magnate Marinakis was confirmed as the new owner after his takeover was passed by the English Football League (EFL).

The businessman and Olympiakos owner is facing accusations of match-fixing in Greece but has passed the EFL's owners' and directors' test. Marinakis' buyout brought an end Fawaz Al Hasawi's five-year reign in charge of the Championship club, after a previous takeover by a United States consortium fell through in January.

Dont worry Fredh, i'm sure they will soon set the world right by handing Rad a 6 month ban, failing to pay the right amount of tax on the Mars bar he bought for lunch or something.

Sacko signs on a permanent deal, which I think is a good signing for us. All we need to do is replace his sticky boots and have him constantly on the training ground practicing the art of squaring the ball and we have ourselves a potential diamond. MM

Cant believe the sort of coin the top prem teams are looking at spending. Seems serious money is being talked about for the supposed elite. I mean aresnal apparent $85mill offer for mpappe? Really. 18 yrs old. Means we should get good dosh for whoever we sell. Eg. Wood 20m. Taylor at least 6-8m. Pont. 15m Thought it had settled down a bit in the last few years all the super high transfer prices. But obviously silly season is back.

These figures still pale into insignificance when you considered we paid £9m for Seth Johnson in 2001. 16 years ago, before decimilisation, when everything was in black and white, men wore top hats and you could get a pint of Stella at Ye Olde Wetherspoons for a thrupnee bit, £9 million was a lot of money! Or when we paid £4m in 1995 for that fat Swedish card shark. What was his name now? Or £4.5m for less sharp in 1997!wow, just wow!
