The championship there for the taking next season! This season we had chances I believe at certain times to win 4 or 5 on the bounce and get us right into contention. Hopefully next season we can be more consistent and perform better against the weaker teams who seemed to beat us last season. Another top CB to play along side Lees will be the most important signing because baring injurys, Lees, Warnock, Byram and another good defender will give us the best defence in the division. Just like Reading 2 yrs ago! Bring BACK Kilgallon cause he would be the best CB in the division bar none if he stayed fit. Although Dunne wouldn't be a bad alternative! If we can get big seasons from our players up front we should be thereabouts. I still believe McCormack and Morison have 40 odd league goals between them. Just get one top wide player to help out, along with a new CB who I mentioned already and we won't be faraway.

Good call and good post, what do we think of pearce? jury is still out for me as think he could be good. Really think we need a good winger and creative midfield to play with austin as ancorman have belife in our forwards

Agree0 Disagree0

PEARCE ok at best I think. Just think he's a bit erratic at times! Altough I like his enthusiasm and leadership skills.

Had a read on it, says he is looking to do what Udinese did with Watford. To be honest, he isn't worth enough to buy more than one club!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeh the article says that, nowhere do you find him actually saying anything that the article is speculating, with the summer break & the transfer window shut there is a huge vacuum gap which is filled with made up speculation.

They have to report on something, and hide behind anonymous or more likely imaginary sources.

Why Leeds fans buy their bs is beyond me, before anyone gives me a reason or try's to justify believing this speculation like it is actually happening can I add their is no valid reason.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's because where gone desperate for the glory days again.

Here's a conversation starter! Some say they want ex players back, some wouldn't. If we reached the promise land after next season, who would welcome James Milner back with open arms? Wages, transfer fee permitting, could this local boy not inspire the team and be a positive role model with his experience and attitude? Like to hear your views because I can't think of anyone else I'd welcome back.

Most underrated player in the city squad, would definitely have him back in the premier league!

I could, Lennon!

Agree0 Disagree0

IF, IF, IF we did and even then IF that happened James Milner wouldn't come back to Leeds as he is playing for a current footballing powerhouse.

End of my conversation.

Agree0 Disagree0

Aaron Lennon, James Milner and Fabian Delph?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ferdinand

Agree0 Disagree0

Lennon, delph, gradel (for football reasons not as a person), snodgrass and milner could all do good job for leeds in the prem now we just need money and promotion, mind you if we had that would we need old players or move forward. Also would love paul robinson back in between the posts for leeds love the bloke and think he would do great job in the current leeds team and could be realisitic target

Agree0 Disagree0

Milner a top player and great bloke. I for one hope we get him back. That would mean we are back in the big-time! C'mon,. WE CAN DO IT.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ferdinand? Are you serious? The guy is past it! Plus he wanted to go to united. End of!

Has anyone heard anything about the Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis being interested in buying an English club? Apparently he's looking for a Watford/Udinese-esque set up. Us, Wednesday and Everton mentioned. Just small mutterings on twitter and a site called 'SB NATION' so far but could be something in this rumour with GFH looking far from convincing at the helm

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You read the same article based on pure speculation & conjecture then.

Interseting Q and A with Peterborough defender Gabriel Zakuani on twitter. saying a lot of good things about Leeds and the fans, also said we'd be very hard to turn down. Would be a good signing for us I think alongside Lees at CB

Richard Dunne has even told he is not wanted at Aston villa. Chances of him to leeds?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'd take him. Good replacement for Kisnorbo.

Agree0 Disagree0

He couldn't be any worse. Can I ask why we want to replace Kisnorbo in the treatment room?

Agree0 Disagree0

Low wages. Good gamble.

Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis has pledged to buy an English club to extend his Neapolitan Empire onto other shores. We take a look at some clubs that are potentially on the market.

Leeds United

One of the many sleeping giants languishing outside the top tier of English football, Leeds United have excellent facilities, infrastructure, a fine stadium and a huge support, and would be tempting for any owner.

Three months after purchasing the club in December 2012, reports suggested that the Bahraini-based consortium were looking to make a quick profit by selling the club within the next year. Since then, they rejected a 51% bid, but have sold off a 10% stake and are known to be looking for new investment.

With the club no longer possessing significant debt and having a few decent assets on their books, such as Sam Byram and Aiden White, it could be a very astute purchase with real potential.

Found this thought it might interest some.

I've posted about this as well I'd like this to happen but chances are he'll buy a premiership club like west ham or Everton.

Agree0 Disagree0

Leeds is the main choice as Everton have large debt problems and are in need of A new stadium.
Sheffield Wednesday are in desperate need of a new stadium and a complete squad and management overhaul
Leeds, no debt, good stadium needs modernising a little and a little bit of tinkering of the squad

Agree0 Disagree0

Bunch of desperado's who believe conjecture & are blinded by their desperation that they can not see the negatives of this speculation.

Interesting to hear Richard dunne talk about stephan warnock been pushed out of villa with his experience. I wouldn't mind if he linked up with warnock again with our defence like this byram dunne lees warnock. A mixture of youth and experience.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Would be a good defence just not sure if he'd be fit enough or quick enough for the championship week in week out? Good bit part player instead?

What is it with 90% of us Leeds fans on here? Rumoured to be looking at a good player and apparently he's too expensive. Linked with a mediocre player and then they're not good enough?
Also where are all these people who claim GHF are skint and have no money getting their information from? Are they part of the financial sector at the club or?.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No they're just deluded LUST members
