Samos for me tonight was shocking his distribution was poor his decision making of when to pass was way off and his first touch is awful. On a better note he is fast but that's it not good enough let go and get better.

Sorry sako.

Sacko is still pretty raw but only 22 and is improving, I think he is good but just doesn't have a full 90 mins in the tank quite yet and he drops off the cliff pretty quickly. We really need a senior winger bringing in for him to work with then we can bring him on for the last 30 or so and really utilise his pace.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Nov 2016 22:50:43
I think we should persevere with Sako. How many years have we been crying out for pace. I agree his touch and decision making isn't great but I think if he got a run in the side this would improve. I mean English football is probably a lot faster than anything he has played in before, once he gets used to it he could be a diamond!

30 Nov 2016 07:26:04
Maybe your right but I felt he cost us a bit last night. At the very latter part of the game Wood had come in from the side into the box all Sacko had to do was leave it and Wood had loads of space. He did the same with Roofe one pass to his left to Roofe rather than shooting himself had Roofe clear. His decision making was poor last night. On another note Roofe is getting better every game I thought he was excellent last night.

30 Nov 2016 07:33:44
Your right, he is a rough diamond, let's face it, if he had fantastic vision, a great first touch and an end product he wouldn't be playing for us on loan would he.

Agree1 Disagree0

30 Nov 2016 12:25:27
This is true, if all our players were as good as we wanted them to be we would be looking forward to the knock out stages of the champions league, not hoping for a play off spot! We are what we are!

29 Nov 2016 21:56:56
Everything was going fine until Wood came on, we didn't need him and it was all downhill from there.

Wood you have posted that if monk's calculated gamble wood have come off, he scored and we were in the semis?

29 Nov 2016 22:42:06
I think it would have been different anyway if we hadnt had 2 players come off early injured, Monk rolled the dice knowing 1 sub wouldn't see us through extra time, better to win or lose in regulation than grind out an extra 30 with tired players and leave us weaker at the weekend.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Nov 2016 07:39:41
We were at the game and Dallas went over to monk 3 times before being subbed, he was clearly struggling and monk had no option but to take him off, and there in lies our problem when you looked at our bench, who else could he bring on. mowatt? . grimes? . from what I have seen of antonsson he's not quite ready yet, if a manager is going to get questioned for bringing out top scorer on its ridiculous. fans were excellent last night by the way!

"Wood you have posted that if monk's calculated gamble wood have come off, he scored and we were in the semis? " Anyone can look back with hindsight, but unfortunately it DIDN'T happen, and I still stick to my original posting, things only got worse after Wood was brought on. Although he may be our 'best' goalscorer at present, he certainly doesn't put the work in that other (non goalscorers) do. Whilst we rely on the likes of Wood we will never get promoted, and if we do then hopefully we will soon get relegated and have millions of pounds to spend (Rodney! ) and be able to afford better who can chase balls and defend and whatever, rather than sit there waiting for most of it to be put in front of them. I would rather we had kept Antennucci, at least he went chasing balls. Not meaning to be (too) aggressive, we all want the same thing, but Wood isn't the answer.

saw the game and very proud, 2-0 but far from disgraced. Fans as always 10 out of 10. Think Viera showed real class, Roofe also showed real talent, skill and threat very unlucky not to score. O'kane looked good until off same with cooper who can defend when not next to Well-end-chi. Silvstri will get slated but first half incedent was bartleys fault and 1st goal was great ball and very hard to deal with, confident Green would of conceeded there as well. Also first half save green would of got knowhere near. I also thought silvestri was doing well collecting balls and showed good hands until that point. All in all good night, team showed class and promise and going right way and two inches from goal which might of changed everything. oOnly bad point in my opinion is green will now take back starting place and was hoping for silvstri to earn place back (apprently three penalty saves ain't enough when green can shot stop and looks more error prone than Frank Spencer on LSD) that said I trust monk and whoever he picks is right as the man is clearly a demi-god and Don Revie's 2nd coming. At final wishtle no dirace losing to top liverpool team who had five players who cost more on thier own than who leeds team. MOT.

Spot on bw really think silvestre has earned his chance, roofe getting better and better, don't think Dallas is good enough, pissed off that Taylor had his best game just to put himself in the shop window, more effort in this game than I have seen for a while, but positive that we will keep on improving, well done Leeds United.

Thought Silvestri should have come off his line for the first goal however this will always be his Achilles heel. Team (including Silvestri) did us proud.

Sorry Berm I know you have a tingly feeling in the nethers for the cat but I'm afraid, much like the first goal against Norwich in the last round, Green would have probably dealt with the Origi one. Yes its a good ball in but both tonight and then he moves backwards towards the line giving the player more to aim at. Had he moved forward and made himself big, like most keepers would, he would have likely kept it out at the cost of a clattering.

Think its the same reason he doesn't come out and challenge for balls from corners, he doesn't want to take a hit. At the end of the day Sivestri will save some stuff Green wouldn't (Pens for example though Green has a decent record against spot kicks just not as good) and vice versa, they just have different skill sets, while we are winning and barely conceding in the league though I wouldn't change anything about the first choice back line, its obviously working.

gummie off my xmas card list. I can see what people are saying about the cat but I think he can be a match winner while green can be a match loser. both are weak in areas but green is not better in any department for me. both weak on corsses, commanding the area and descion making but cats shot stopping is so good it post him above a weaker green. I can not see any reason to plick green ahead of the cat even if the cat has some massive falws.

30 Nov 2016 16:41:41
Bermondsey I have to agree with Gummie so I won't be on your Christmas card list either. Regrettably you don't see enough games to judge Green he makes the odd mistake but what gal keeper doesn't. He has been one of the main reasons why the team has not conceded so many goals this season and with his vast experience he is justifiably the number one choice to be in the nets. Sivestri will learn a lot from him but the one thing he will have to teach his self is to have courage and play without fear and then he won't make the mistakes he made last night and he will then become world class and possibly be selected for his country as Green was for his.

FINE EAST YOU ARE OFF AS WELL! to be fair I can see what you are saying and I do not see everygame so there is a very good chance I have missed something about green, all these fans and more importantly Monk can not be wrong, guess I have to trust judgement and accept I might be wrong with this one. still no cards for you and gummie though. I will send extra cards to silvestri and you lot don't show him enough love!

2 loses in 3 games and I'd normally be down and depressed, not now though. Losing to perm quality teams, giving a good account of ourselves and I'm more optimistic than ever about our future. Really proud of the lads, didn't disgrace ourselves. Well done. The futures bright, the futures white.

The guys were good, and looking for the result until Monk put Wood on, then we lost it. sorry if I appear biased but to hole Liverpool up for 78 minutes has to show something? Proud to watch tonight, I don't think our team would be disgraced in the premiership, Roofe is getting there!

From early season I have imagined us the hound and Huddersfield the hare. Now we have caught the hare, sooner than expected, need to stay ahead of it and hopefully chase a new one. going to be tough with upcoming fixtures but exciting tines.

WHen tonights fixture was announced I tried to get hospitality tickets as I had never been to Enfield. They said there was a note on the system not to sell to leeds fans. I tried a contact within LUFC who sorts coreperate / tickets and he offered me a number of option but confirmed he had to sign a waiver to say anyone seen to be openly supporting Leeds within hospitality will be ejected from the stadium. I've been to most stadiums in hospitality at one time or other and never seen this before. Does anyone know why? There is no way I'm giving money to those guys if they treat our fans like that. Even Man U were great hosts (especially since we beat them) .

what do you all reckon for the team tonight? will we be playing the first team and going for it or will there be a few changes? I can see Monk making a fair number of changes myself with a few of the second string lads coming in including BW's beloved 'cat' (so called presumably because he spends most of his time asleep? )

I thought we would have to score twice to beat Rotherham but a narrow win against 10 men and then to have to scramble the ball off the line and survive their player missing an open goal was a bit worrying. I don't know what it is about Cooper but however well he seems to play the back four always seems more vulnerable with him in it. He rarely plays in a game when we keep a clean sheet. I thought we would draw against Rotherham with the players we had available but having got the three points I now think 33 points by the turn of the year will be our par. A lot will depend on whether Hernandez gets back and maintains his previous form and the return of Bridcutt. It looked like we had a change of tactics against Rotherham. Sacko didn't look as effective as he does when he comes off the bench and although we had a lot of possession we couldn't do much with it. Another creative/attacking midfielder is needed (Hernandez as he gets older will take longer to recover from fatigue and injury and we need cover) and a goal scorer to push Wood a bit is a necessity.

So it looks like Radrizzani is buying into Leeds with a 50/50 split with Cellino and then an option to buy 100% in June. I just hope this guy's in it for the good of the club and not just making a fast buck. Cellino made many, many mistakes when he first came to us, but he's building something here with Monk and Pep at the helm and long may it continue. We're only a couple of players short of an automatic promotion side imo. Come on boys tonight. Let's put one over the scousers! MM.

29 Nov 2016 18:42:53
Well this is happening 50/50 and I think Cellino can escape a ban so short term this is a good idea, as long as they don't fall out. Long term there''s an option of a full takeover.

I think against Rotheram on Saturday Leeds played ok overall but we should have won it by more. Those last 10 minutes were poor but expect that as I said I thought overall we played ok and we got three points and up to fifth and that's the most important thing. Now on to Liverpool which is a big game obviously but in the long run this game is more about performance and I might not be happy tonight if we lose but in the long run I will be happy with a decent performance. But on the bright side for us Liverpool have Couthino Firmino and Sturridge out. MOT!
