With Becchio moving to East Anglia tomorrow I told you Norwich are Leeds and Leeds are Pompey if Dindane passes the trial. He is there to replace Gray. Looks like we get Morison from the Canaries. That can't be too bad.

In my opinion Ross McCormack is a better player than Luicano Becchio, Becchio has just got talent in the air but McCormack has pace which Becchio don't have. So it wouldn't bother me much is he went.

I love becchio (not in a gay way) he gave us a lot....but I'm also happy to see him go for anything over two mil, break their arm for the money. As far as I am concerned, Rosco is our No. 1 striker and has been since Beckford left. Rosco will score as many goals given the games, and imo a better striker than Becchio.

All I can say is thanks for you loyalty over the years Luciano, you have done us proud. Good luck for the future...

Actually laughing my ass off at the reports that Becchio is off to Norwich for £3.5m & Morison coming to us!! What a deal!!, Warnock must be laughing his head off!!

Believable15 Unbelievable1

It's more likely to be what the current bun say an becchio plus £1m for Morison, who in the right mind would pay £3.5 plus a striker for becchio

i've been looking on this web page for all the summer transfer window & now the jan transfer too .... where the hell are all of you getting all your so called info from .... fed up in hearing my dad knows this guy ... my mums cleaned this guys house ... know one knows this information or the papers would know the way it is is how leeds fan have been treated all transfer windows 1 guy says one thing and its true ... where in reality we've been lied to again and still have no funds to spend on proper players who will get us out this league .... we have got rid of 4 players in the last few weeks and brought no one in yet apart from people we previously had a loan anyway ... where is this £8mil we have to improve the squad ... and all these players we are bringing in which would actually split up our team completely so ... enough with the bs lets keep the players we have and bring in new players before we get rid of our old ones at least they're loyal enough to stay with us.

Good post, I live in ireland and only look at 3 sites -OS, YEP + this site every day to see who we're signing! Some of the bull on here drives me mad. People who come on and make up stories that they met Becchio and were chatting to him or the friend who knows a friend. My fav is people who see someone at Elland Road and it turns out they might not even be in the country! Some people live in fantasy land or really need psychiatric help. Just post stuff you believe to be true and no made up bull! Irish White MOT

This habibou doesn't seem to be much of a goal scorer he's played 14 games this season only scoring in a maximum of 4 games so 10 games with no goals which is more of a winger stats

Believable2 Unbelievable3

He is a winger he only doubles as a striker in certain games I've been following him a while and he does play more of a supportive role thn a finishing role think of an el hajdi diouf type player but bigger faster and stronger

Anyone told SH that he is supposed to be bringing players in as we'll as sending players out. Seems to be a common denominator in that each transfer window is a big fat let down despite having different managers, therefore SH is the cause of this. He needs replacing ASAP. Warnock was told to draw up a wish list ages ago so what's SH doing besides going through all his socks. C'mon Leeds get your act together tick tock tick tock.

Would be delighted with habibou and Russell, extend Barkley loan until the end of the season and a winger.

Believable10 Unbelievable1

What a rubbish post! They week they came in they managed to get Thomas and Tate on loan to stop a terrible run. After that we picked up a great win at home to palace! They have loaned in Barkley (premier class), they have also give fans the chance for reduced price tickets for games not to mention half price season tickets! We still have two days left for signing, apparently we have beat west ham to the sig of warnock another premiership player only 3 years ago he was going to a world cup! Stop being so negative, so what if becchio goes we play better without him in my opinion. It will give McCormack the chance up front he craves, also if we can get in 2/3 attacking players things will be looking good! If its to late this season at least we will look strong for next season! GFH haven't made an iota of difference. We are nearing the end of a transfer window and once again the talk is about who is leaving rather than who is coming. Fed up with being a Leeds fan now.

Believable6 Unbelievable21

They've made massive difference. Bates will soon be no more, they funded acquisitions earlier in the season, they got rid of dead wood, they've been able to offer players more money albeit by 25 per cent and they are in transfer talks with better players than what we got. That's loads in my book!

Players who must go:
(permanently)
1 Rachubka 0-3K p/w
2 Dury 10k p/w
3 Brown 10k p/w
4 Bromby 4k p/w
5 Pugh 10k p/w
6 Connolly 4k p/w
7 Kisnorbro 6k p/w
8 Pearce (cruel I know, chases shadows a lot) 9k p/w
9 Varney (cruel I know) 9k p/w
These wages are a guesstimation 65K p/w x 52weeks = £3, 380,000.
Are these figures approx correct would you guys say?
Sinnyboy

Believable3 Unbelievable15

Even before varney scored against spurs I've been sayin he's a useful player...not a first team player but useful back up - he proved me wrong against spurs - he is a useful first team player what he did wasnt a fluke or luck it was pure class that he just needs the confidence to unleash. Pearce has been solid for us and drury is one of our better defenders but other thn tht I agree get shot of the rest asap

Agree9 Disagree3

You can't just 'get rid of' players like Drury and Bromby because they were injured serving the Mighty Whites! MOT! White4Life

Agree2 Disagree7

I think we have got rid of what we need to now and NW has done well to shift them all. Bromby is going to be on little and is cover for the cover so keep him for now. Some of the others may be deadwood in the summer when new players are brought in. Until then brown, varney...have their uses as the spurs game showed.

George Boyd to Crystal Palace, they're also in for Albert Adomah however he's at the ACON there's a slim chance. But with Zaha being loaned back, is there a chance for Bolaise? Would love him at Leeds, we need an attractive winger!
My hopefull signings:
Warnock - Experience in the top flight, still has a few years in him at 31
Craig Mckail-Smith - Ideal replacement for Becchio, similar players
Wells - young, talented prospect with pace. Would have to loan him back for a month for the cup I expect
Burke - goal scoring midfielder

Since GFH took over on Dec 22nd I think it was, they have made apporx 12 business moves what we see in the public eye:

1 Signed Diuof on a longer contract
2 Brought Hall in on loan then permanently
3 Signed Tonge permanently
4 Brought in Barkley
5 Brought in Tate
6 Brought in Thomas
7 Extended Tate
8 Terminated Nunez
9 Loaned out Connolly
10 Loaned out Kisnorbro
11 loaned out Pugh
12 Terminated Rogers

Add to this cheap tickets for three games and half season tickets, I feel in my opinion that they haven't been sat doing nothing.

Things that I cannot understand though is why did Tates form drop so rapidly and why isn't Warnock playing Ryan Hall, someone who he paid a fee for. He has set up two goals and scored four in a reserve game.

TMMA - Transfer Market My Arse

I think we will see some incomings in the next day or so. Warnock looks like could be a done deal. No idea about Habibou, his twitter is always mentioning Leeds and i'd thought it would be announced by now.

A good proven striker and winger plus left back would be my priorities with an additional back up striker coming in, hopefully not Dindane.

Warnock LB to rotate with White who is looking good at the minute. Drury is out for a bit so need extra back there without putting Peltier at LB, he's solid at CB pairing with Lees

With Warnock and Gorkss, if we get them, they are improvements on the squad for the departing Pugh and Kisnorbo. This means they will be good signings but we still lack a quality winger, creative midfielder and striker. Will we sign these squad players and 3 more players in 2 days?

Don't believe any nonsense about Kaspars Gorkss signing for us. Just another 'he's played under Colin at QPR so we're after him' rumour. Warnock was not the biggest fan of him at QPR and offered him plus £500,000 for Jason Puncheon of Southampton January 2 years ago. Since then he's aged and isn't what we we're looking for.

Habib Habibou did tweet saying goodbye to his team-mates on twitter and he could be a handy player for us... if he does in fact join Leeds. Nothing official has been said.

Gradel has said he wants to stay and challenge in the French league for now, but he has a desire to come back to Leeds. Won't happen this transfer window.

Wigan have loaned out Mauro Boselli to Palermo, suggesting they are going to sign striker. I guess their replacement could be Becchio.

My point is that this has been - and is - a transfer window to forget for us leeds fans. I am not a pessimist and I'm going to get behind the boys but next year is clearly a more realistic time to target promotion - but we would have to spend in the summer. The most I see us doing this transfer window is signing a Becchio replacement if he does leave. We may even get a left back but that would probably be in the loan window.

Finally looks as though we will be signing a true quality left back in Stephen Warnock, and finally it means Lee Peltier can play in a preferred central role, he got way too much stick for his left back performances, they did cost us yeah but White was never going to fill that role and clearly something was amiss with Drury. I'm not really sure why Kisnorbo hasn't been kept though as he was always solid enough when I watched him, instead we are interested in a highly paid premiership central defender in Gorks, that will help the wage bill no end. Habibou looks set to leave Zulte as posted yesterday, most likely destination is us. The CMS deal is still alive so I am led to believe, this all depends on Becchio leaving. Which then leaves us with a creative midfielder to find, it seems Gradel will not be leaving France, Chris Burke looks Forest bound, no new rumours on George Boyd, and the only recognisable one left that we have been linked with is Paddy McCourt for is predominantly a winger, not sure to be perfectly honest however I am very happy to be proven wrong for the sake of LUFC :-) MOT SussexLeeds

I think warnock will be a solid signing but being skeptical how can we afford his reported £40,000 a week contract its a lot considering we were not willing to offer becchio the £30,000 a week deal BrianMOT

Believable6 Unbelievable5

We won't pay him 40k, he will have to take a wage drop, but that's what happend to aging footballer who don't get first team football.

Agree2 Disagree0

His wage was £40,000 pw at Villa, Leeds will have offered him a lower weekley wage but a longer contract (18 months).

He wnt be on that much, probably 12 -15k. The fact that he chose us because we offered a longer contract is worrying, we dnt want finished mercenaries.
