First, George made some good points, as did Bermondsey.
I just think if I had a billion in the bank Leeds would be the top option because you buy a company for its success and sales (its customers) Leeds Utd has customers in its fans! That is what you pay for when buying a business and that essentially is what every football club is now. West Ham have a good following but not to the scale we have and they will move to a stadium that seats more than the great Elland Road, and quite possibly fill it.
Leeds as a city is huge and as big as Manchester (who has two teams)

Villa will join us next season but won't spend, if the geordies do they will push to go straight back up and carry crowds the same as Leeds and Norwich in the championship. Nobody and I mean nobody has the best away support in England than Leeds!

Lets face it tho! The fans have been milked! The young players sold for money that most clubs would have demanded double for!

Grayson had the best chance to get us up with back to back promotions but he wasn't backed by masterbates and therefore the defence was a joke, Howson, Johnson, Snod, Gradel, Beckford, Becchio, McCormack, and one who will have a winners medal this year, Schmichael.

If/ when Evens goes in the summer who would you lads and lasses like to see come in?

I know two would certainly love Grayson back and I wouldn't be disappointed with that but I would like someone with a real point to prove. I would have loved Keegan here. I would have Moyes, but I think the best and one we should go for is, Pearson.

Happy Easter MOT.

This most recent post is a quantum leap over your other one. No offense! I agree wholeheartedly. What many don't realize is we are in last chance saloon this summer. No big spendy will see our young talent heading elsewhere. That must not be allowed to happen. MOT.

It's not that easy. It's difficult to make anyone in the championship. We don't own our ground. Cellino has put in over £40 million and will want that back. Getting rid of GFH would cost a similar amount. Buy the ground and ta and your close to £100 million and you've paid to get a squad that is not good enough to get anywhere near the play offs. Leeds maybe a one club city, but a lot of our fans, myself included live outside the city. There are some great fans in Leeds but not enough of them for the size of the city. What would our crowds be if only people from Leeds went. I cannot go anywhere in Sheffield without the Deda's reminding me that they have two teams and average 40,000 between them, in a smaller city. Your right to say there is potential, but unless we can fill the ground week in week out, no one is going to come near us at the moment. Cellino has been there 2 years and we haven't had a crowd anywhere near capacity. That was the reason I wanted a cup match against a top team, so that he may see that potential and start investing.

i agree with deda we are not a good buy by any means, renting ground and no assest and decent support but not like the big clubs really when you think world wide.

Also keegan. keegan. really. he was useless at every club he was at and knows about as much as football as my nan who is sandwich short of a pick-nick. Also please put holloway and mcclown in the same list as managers I would hate at leeds.

Also can not agree this is our last summer last chance saloon, I see some sense we might lose our youngsters but leeds always produce good youth and under mc we would get good money for them and many on here think they are over rated so if they go for good money that would not be a bad thing, we probably will not go up next year that doesn't mean by any distance we will never go up.

In the best possible way, we need a new owner who has more money than sense. A shrewd businessman isn't going to buy us, but a minted fan might.

A millionaire is no good. A multimillionaire is no good. A Billionaire with no brains (but has foresight) is the only answer. Cellino has started by showing that you can save a sinking ship; plugging the holes, dragging down the overheads but now is the time for solid investment.
I think Dedas figure is high (but not unreasonable) but with a wise investment of 25/ 30 mill on players alone, a promotion winning team can be built which will then not yoyo between divisions in future years. Once the initial pain is done the new owner can look forward to a new succesfull era at Elland Road (or wherever, but that is for a different post) . Build it, and they will come!

Of course we are not a good buy. We were even worse at time of Cellino purchase. We are better than that now but the only way we become a good buy is by the re-acquisition of assets and heavy investment in playing squad. I accept GFH are a problem but if we know all this so does Cellino so why hasn't he bought them out? This is why I allege he is another Bates. Just milking us for his benefit. Admittedly we now sell our good players for a better price but the tragic concept is still the same. Remember when we were led to believe the mcbadgekisser money was either to get us over the line for ER buyback or that was bonus funds because that was already taken care of? Keep saying it time is over the summer to make it all right otherwise Cellino will play the game with us and market sales of better players as disloyalty on their part when the truth is they just want what we want. Stadium back and better players.

Cellino has entered into a deal with GFH. As we owe them a lot of money, Cellino has engineered a plan to pay them back. We owe them 17.2 million, so we pay them the full amount if we go up by 2019. If not we then pay from then until 2032. So if Cellino buys them out, they could rip up that agreement. If they did that then they could ask for their money outright. That could push us into administration. GFH have us screwed. Not nice but true.

Think we paid back nearly 3 mill last year, probably money left from mac sale. If some money from each big sale is put aside to pay off gfh debt I would be happy with that as it would be more viable to buy them out then.

Couple of points. We have a huge fan base all over the world but we only average maybe 24k at best. Other championship clubs have better. Also opening post said Newcastle will get same crowds as us if they go down. Try doubling it! Leeds traditionally has never been a massive football city but then Revie came along. However what we might not have in numbers we have in passion. Then again if we did get promotion and some success crowds will obviously increase just like chelsea and city. As some have said it will take a billionaire fan to make this happen at present as there are far more attractive propositions out there. Just my opinion. MOT.
