Leeds are a joke. Bates is creaming everything for himself. Larry has yet again been givennothing to spend. A big of quality is needed but we will struggle to finish halfway.

Would u rather be where we r now or where we were 3 year ago i wish master bates would get his wallet out but at least he, s steaded the ship. a stable ship is more likely to attract a future buy out/takeover he did it at chelski. by building new boxs in the east stand to rent out to business, s as offices brings in money all good dont u think.

Looks like Johnson has signed for Leicester. Shame we missed out on a good player there. I've seen him play a few times, as I work in Manc and get City tickets free through work. He's suffered a bit over the past couple of years and maybe that's why we didn't take a punt on him. I hope so, cos the rumours were strong about him coming to ER. I hope it we didn't bottle it cos of money....again. Leicester must be one of the favourites to get promotion, if they click.

Thats not news to me, the only real question though is why buy the club if you dont have the money to invest? For him its all about taking money out of the club and thats why ppl hate him. That and the fact that he comes out taking transfers up with statements like signings that will make ppl sit up and take notice and prem players coming in etc but they never materialise sadly. Basically he's a dodgy liar and i dont think ppl like that.

I didn't say he has no money I said he has no money to invest - 30mill not 80mill is not much for a person owning a football club(as the table on football club owners shows). Bates is all about making money for himself. If you want to quote someone do it properly or dont bother.

If you think Master Bates is spending £6-£7m on the east stand you are deluded, I'm an architect and there is no way the work being done is anywhere near that value. I can understand the fans frustration and believe as much as any that Bates is taking every penny he can from the club but there s still ages left in the transfer market so let s just wait and see what happens first.

Amazing you demonstrated, both brains and a lack of in one foul swoop agree no where near the 5-6 mill, disagree bates lining his pockets. The only way we can increase our wage budget is a) to stay in the championship and b) to increase club revenue. this is how u grow as a football club people. {Ed001's Note - does Bates take a salary from the club? Does he not own at least part of the company that owns the ground that Leeds pay rent for?}

And how much do you think this project is worth..? new build refurbishment works with seating and corperate hospitality thats lasting 3 months +

Bates has publicly stated that he has never taken a penny out of Leeds for himself, this was (I believe) in a double page spread in one of the sunday newspapers last year.

Now if you can PROVE differently why don't you take a double page spread out yourself and show the 'truth' and shut Bates up for once and all time?

I trust Simon Grayson completely on the signings front. I truly believe the reason it is taking so long to sign players is that he has set out his targets and what he thinks they are worth and is sticking to his guns. He said that Lonergan was his number 1 choice and he got him. But it took ages to finalise.

He will have 3 or 4 main targets left that he will aim to sign before the season starts. And if they take ages they take ages but he gets what he wants rather than settling for cast offs and frees from league 1 teams.

Remember he's been in the Championship before with Blackpool and they got promoted through the work he put in Obviously that bumbling outspoken fool got them relegated again but I can't see Ken Bates being in a rush to replace SG with Ian Holloway...

Sammy Clingan looks unlikely as they'd want us paying over the odds to take the last bation of talent they have at their club. Not to mention their captain But then again I'd love to be proved wrong

Always thought Grella was underrated kind of weird how SG appears to have favourites that have underperformed but Somma and Grella have been used far too sparingly sadly Sommas out for a while but Grella might be better option than Paynter??
