Hey Ed what's happened to Mika Väyrynen is he injured! {Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware there is no injury.}

He has a groin injury. Source - his twitter account

He's injured and he's due to have surgery. {Ed020's Note - he had surgery yesterday or the day before, don't think he'll feature again this season.}

Don't think he will feature ever {Ed020's Note - his contract was for a year, with a possible extension, i don't think he's done enough to earn the extension really from what we can see}

It's easy to forget but this guy has a cracking pedigree. I'd like to see what he could do for us fully fit.

I'm sure tomorrow will be the day we hear whether Matt Mills is coming on loan or not...

I think we already know he's not coming.....

I don't think webber was needed we have enough strikers,now that paynter is hopefully playing with a bit of confidence,another 2 today,who will it be next paddy kenny warnocks favourites,do we really want to be seen as sheffield utd's old boys brigade?. {Ed013's Note - Give him a chance, OK he isn't Messi, but if the fans don't back the players/manager then morale will slip and we will be back to square one. I think he has brought him as a wide man option and it is only a short contract so if it doesn't work then so be it}

I'd rather see Webber in the side than Paynter. Honestly, give the player and manager chance.

From what I remember of Webber he had plenty of skill and pace. Warnock wouldn't have signed him if he had nothing to offer. Stop moaning.

Webber instead of paynter,a player who for the last few months has been claiming job seekers class player,the reason paynter is under performing is because of people like you,a confident PAYNTER is a 15 goal a season man is webber no.

Yet more of the same 'pi$$ and moan about everything' carp that we are getting sick and tired of.

By the way Warnock has been talking it sounds like Webber will be played more out wide, a role which Paynter can't play in.

why when nw gets danny webber you all get exited quality bit of buisness what did he do last year??? why has he been without a club since last summer?? if nw can get the best out of players give the ones that on the books ago i think people think hes god he just a manager whos won promotion a couple of time 18 month contract wats that about shoul av kept grayson till end of season cos as it stands if were inthe same state next year nw gone no pay off cos he will walk or retire at end of season so if you think theres 2 men happy

SG was getting anything BUT the best out of his p-layers thats the point!! Give NW a chance - he's been left with Graysons crock of S--t and can only deal the way he is.

You obviously haven't managed to get hold of the Feel Good Factor he's trying to install into the fans and team.

Just a thought but how would the fans have reacted if Grayson had still been in charge and signed another forward? It's interesting that warnock is being forced to shop in the same bargain basement as Grayson, hence the reason the squad is in the state it is. I fully behind warnock, just as I was grayson, and hope he can make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

Agree with the last poster. Webber is not the quality of player we were expecting Warnock to bring and is no better than Grayson's signings. As for Grayson's Crock of S**T, it was Grayson who bought Gradel, Schmeichel, Clayton, Lonergan and brought young players fully into the team such as Lees, White & Howson. Some people on this site have very short and selective memories.

Fact is, Grayson haters, all his best players were sold for profit or allowed to leave on frees to keep costs down. 4 of his preferred midfield 5 have now gone (Howson, Johnson, Kilkenny, Gradel) and almost all football games are won and lost in midfield. How would any manager be able to deal with that?

All managers sign dross - look at some of Fergie's signings - but Grayson was continually undermined by Bates.

Sorry to spoil the Bates/Warnock love-in going on here but NOTHING has improved, we're further off the playoffs having thrown away 7 points from the last 12, the signings are not coming or not looking like the right calibre and I reckon Warnock is going to be pretty frustrated come the summer.

The real problem still remains - Bates.

The loan market is still open.do what peterborough have just done, signed a player on loan and agreed a £1.1 million fee for the player. Thats right, peterborough have agreed to spend over a million pounds on one player. Trivia question for you, who was the last player Leeds paid over a million for?

1st post.. Haha laughable! U named 4players who turned out. Good enough! N white n lees were forced into team due to lack of defenders, odea couldnt play lb, n kis, ob n bromby had mares early in season, howson also played under macca.. Leave ur daft comments out n get behind team!

I do get behind the team and never join in the Bates Out chants. I still think he's bad for the club though.

Howson was a peripheral sub under Macca - captain and top player under Grayson, who also signed Kisnorbo by the way, who was top drawer before his injury.

Like I said - all managers sign dross, especially when they're forced into loans & frees. People seem to forget just how many decent signings he made as well as the poor ones.

If Warnock doesn't get a proper budget in the summer will he stay? Would you? If the best he can do is Webber then we're not exactly going places are we?

If grayson was constantly undermined by bates he could have resigned and spoke out abou it. We are LEEDS!!

NW has only been in charge for one game, plus a team talk in the previous match. 2 games and four points, this is far better than where we were with SG. P**S off with all your negativity, with fans like you who needs enemies? {Ed020's Note - its one game, with the same players, your right!! 1 point is better than no point!!! some people are just so critical!!!}

If grayson was undermined.. he chose take his wages and accept second best

Grayson signed townsend, delph n smith in January they turned out well! Kisnorbo good in league one n howson average im afraid.

I think the referees have missed more penalties than anyone else this year....

Regarding any signings coming in in the next few days i am afraid all we will get is either players out of contract,players out of favour at their clubs or young players looking to play some games.This is called the loan market.We have now got a manager that really has great experience at this level if there is someone out there who will make a difference i am sure Warnock will find them.It is about bringing fresh faces in that will make a difference.Under Grayson too many players came in and never seemed to be involved or played once then that was it.That is why we had a squad of 28-29 players on the wage bill but only ever playing 15-16.This is what bates always complains about.Let Warnock sort out the squad bring in his type of player get rid of the dead wood and take the club forward.This will not happen over night.We have got to trust Warnock.We all want the premiership asap.The main thing now is to get behind the team and manager and hope the premiership comes sooner rather than later.

Any footballer who's been an average player throughout their career who eventually fizzles out and is struggling for a club don't worry. Leeds will sign you

Exactly what we ha e all been saying but this time listen.........stop being so negative! N W can only get players in who are available secondly he has worked with Webber previously.........did anyone else notice the change in Browns game on Saturday NW gets the best out of his players ........ Before a ball has been kicked by Webber you're writing him off....... Do us all a favour and get behind the team or support someone else

Not a rumour it's true we just signed Danny Webber NW knows him really well and obviously trusts him to add goals
Let's get some more new blood in defence and then shut up shop for rest of season. MOT

So now our January window recruitment policy looks shocking. Badly needed some reinforcements. Delph- injured and gone ( would have been recalled anyway, Townsend- done one and gone, Smith recalled.So all we are left with is the permanent signing of Dany Pugh ( who was playing anyway) and the free signing of Bob Rogers who nobody seems to want to play. All players brought in by a Manager sacked immediately after the window closed. Shocking. We have been abysmal at recruitment over the last 18 months. Also the perils of too many loans and clubs can recall, or players show lack of commitment and go ( Townsend). We confirmed we wouldn't make a push in that second half of the season with that strategy. Just hope we do better in the summer!!

You should have applied for NW's job you make it sound easy maybe you put a gun against people's heads and get them to sign up rofl.
