Respect to KB for keeping us in business back then but he is not in it now to 'live the dream.' At least we still have a club to support.

Get behind SG, he is a true Leeds supporter that is doing a good job on the back of loan deals and free transfers.

Let's hope we can keep hold of what we have and SG can pull one or two quality loans out of his hat.

MOT {Ed025's Note - things will get better...it will just take longer than you want!...its hang in there time..

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Not while Ken Bates is in charge things won't get better ,proved that when he was at Chelsea ,no body likes him and that's the way he likes it ,just lives to cheese people off !

So who everyone want to see sign in january realistic targets

Believable0 Unbelievable2

McGugan from forest wouldn't be too pricey and would add a little something else to the midfield. {Ed025's Note - not a bad shout that mate..

Agree3 Disagree2

Robbie rodgers, lawrie wilson from stevenage, parnaby, clingan, andrews and then pugh on a permanent. thats who we are after from what i can work out...we also need another striker and a centre back

28 Dec 2011 22:56:19
Not one bit confident about saturday game anyone agree doesnt help that we never win against barnsley or at oakwell at best we will get a point but hope we win obviously just cant see it though the way where playing at the moment also though the lad butterfield barnsleys captain looks a class act in midfield along with the lad davies up front who's a strong boy wish we had of signed him when we was linked with him couple of years ago give paddy a hard time of it at elland road

Believable1 Unbelievable2

Off subject but why do people insist on talking like Eddie Gray, Andy Gray and various managers and keep calling player "the boy" or "the lad"?? It doesn't make what you're saying have any more impact or make it more believable!

Good points though other than that, we don't seem to have the motivation at the moment and s Yorkshire derby seems to mean more to our opponents than to us. Hope I'm proven wrong and we stuff them though

Whats the hell his happening with aidy whites contract i bet he's another player that will leave us for nothing at the end of the season cos we wont up our offer it must of been a poor contract we offered him he is the kind of player we need to keep at the club and build a team round him

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Fulham have offered £3.5 million according to SkySports - he has a £3 million release clause in his contract. Can't see Bates matching that and I can't see him turning down a chance to play in the Premiership to come to Leeds.

I reckon roberto di matteo would be a great replacement for simon grayson if or when he gets sacked ino he's a former chelsea player but if he gets us promoted like he did with west brom to premier league then so be it anybody got any thoughts on this candidate

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Can't see why he'd come to Leeds. He's probably being paid serious money at Chelsea and if he leaves he'll want a comparable salary, which rules us out, a transfer budget, which rules us out, and I expect a few Premiership chairmen will have their eye on him which rules us out.... {Ed025's Note - i thought i was a pessimist....you blow me out the water mate!

Agree0 Disagree1

Sorry Ed! I prefer to think I'm more of a realist - which is why I'd stick with Grayson who's done a decent job with the resources he's been given. {Ed025's Note - the way the fans are talking ...you would think leeds were in the bottom 3!!!....reality check guys...the club is skint, and in transition...yet are on the fringe of the play off places..not too shabby in my book!..

Agree1 Disagree1

He managed mk dons and west brom so it would suggest he has slightly more motivation than taking a big wage to be the number two somewhere.

Agree1 Disagree1

I'm sure he does want the manager's job at another club, I just don't see him coming to Leeds. He's managed in the Premiership quite successfully and I expect that's where he wants to be. People whine about Grayson on here but I'm pretty sure that even Fergie, Wenger & Mourinho working together wouldn't be able to get Leeds promoted without a better squad than the one we have. I still think Grayson's overachieving and can see us in a relegation battle when he gets sacked. I hope I'm wrong but I can see things getting much worse before they get better.

Macclesfield 17 year old RB, his manager says he's the next Bale & they are willing to sell! Worth a punt for Leeds? Get your money out Bates!!

www1.skysports.com/football/news/12691/7399348/Boss-compares-Hewitt-to-Bale

Believable2 Unbelievable3

Do you think if SG compares Billy Paynter to Messi someone might give us £50 million?

Sounds to me like his manager's trying to hype him up to get a bigger price. If he's genuinely anywhere near as good as Bale then we don't stand much chance anyway, there will be a queue of Champions League clubs in for him.

gettin bored of reading all these unrealistic and stupid transfer talks leeds wont spend more than a million on all there transfers put together next month so any qaulity sighnings wont happen leeds wont sign smith as they may want him but wont pay his wage demands which will be stupid hes not that gd anymore anyway hes past it at most a legue one bottom half championship players leeds will sign pugh and jeogh on perm and rest will be on loan with townsend a possibility

and we need to keep grayson one of best mangers in division just doesnt av the budget if we dont go up its all down to bates been an ideat and not spending money on players and instead spending it on building work whcih could av waited until after we got promoted

Believable3 Unbelievable5

I'm no fan of Bates either but it's not entirely fair to criticise Bates for the ground building work. The money being spent on the ground has been borrowed and secured against the ground/pavilion etc. Banks won't lend money for player purchases and so that money couldn't have been spent on players because it's not the club's money.

Bates may seem wealthy to most of us but he isn't wealthy by the standard of football club owners - estimated net worth of 20million - probably not much of that is in hard cash since it will be based on asset valuations (property, shares etc.).

We need a new owner with plenty of cash - until that happens we'll be fighting for a play off place with a sub standard squad.

Agree2 Disagree2

I have serious, honest news for all Leeds fans who wish Bates gone. He is going nowhere and this statement is factual and based upon very close friends of his. Furtermore he has rejected numerous bids for the club in the last two seasons and one from a very well known wealthy businessman based in Cumbria. Mr Bates was offered 25Mill and he said he was not selling as having fun and would only consider a bid around 90 Mill. Not a joke in any way, particularily that we are all stuck with this undesireable character. From FO (facts only).

Heard a few rumors with regards to Robbie Blake signing in Jan, Pugh & Keogh to make it permanent.

Out:
O.B
Bruce
Paynter

I'd also shift another 2 or 3 fringe players to try and bring in a bit of quality In midfield & defense. I fear if we receive a decent offer you can add Snoddy to the list of outgoing which would seriously hinder any of our chances.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Robbie blake Rumour is absoulote rubbish

28 Dec 2011 15:29:50
Keogh is a poor poor player full stop.. no argument! He is journeyman striker with one of the poorest goals record ive ever seen. Do we really expect to be in the top 3 with someone playing regularly up front who simply cannot put the ball in the back of the net!? OK OK he puts his life and soul into each performance, and brings players into the game blah blah blah....but lack of quality and goals is going to keep us in this division for a long time. Ask yourselves this.....if he was so integral to a championship side would Cardiff have let him go, or Bristol C for that fact. HE DOES NOT SCORE!! Mayb play him central midfield as his qualities more depict that...but for heavens sake not up front! Please fellow fans see the light that this player signing permanently in Jan is NOT going to help our cause!

Believable8 Unbelievable1

I totally agree with the above. If we are looking for a striker then we need one who can score goals-simple as! In don't know when Somma is back, but you can't pin your hopes on a player returning from injury. Becchio is worse than Keough; Forsell doesn't get a look in so we need a proven goalscorer to come in. Maynard is up for grabs; Beckford is probably for sale if someone made a bid for him; Andy Johnson if he would be prepared to drop a division would be a good signing as he is for sale at decent money (wages an issue though). There are strikers out there- It is up to Grayson to get the right one in and quick.

Agree5 Disagree2

Keogh is not a good scorer.Becchio is not playing as well as he should.somma is back but he needs playing time.Forsell needs a bit more playing time and illy pantner who should be in the bin

Agree2 Disagree1

We no longer have a quality striker in becchio but might have in forsell give him a fair chance larry.give his mate varynen the same he looks a very classy player when he comes on.

Agree7 Disagree0

Compare the number of goals we were getting with Keogh & McCormack playing to the number we're getting playing Becchio. It's a bit like Heskey/Owen when they played for England in their prime. Heskey looked like a donkey but Owen scored loads of goals when partnered by Heskey and rarely scored with other partners.

Football is a team game. I don't care if Keogh scores or not if he creates opportunities by fighting for the ball and laying it off to McCormack, Clayton, Howson etc.

Agree3 Disagree2

Least hes better than Barn Door

Agree1 Disagree1

Football is a team game but at the moment the team aren't scoring and that is why we need goalscorers.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Dec 2011 15:17:16
Transfers that need to be done!..
Michael Brown - out!
Paul Rachubka - out!
Danny Pugh - perm!
Mikael Forssell - out!
Ben Parker - loan!
Alex McCarthy - perm!
Davide Somma - loan!

Then we need to sign a RB, CB, CM, atleast! MOT thoughts..?

Believable2 Unbelievable3

We are desperate for a creative midfielder who can put his foot on the ball and look for the right pass rather than what we have at present and that is players who simply try and play 100mph football and invariably lose the ball. We need a player like Kilkenny (but with some bite) or even like Brown was 10 years ago. If we then had another decent winger with pace who could create the chances that Gradel did we may have a chance of promotion. You can sign as many strikers as you want but if there is no service then pointless!

Agree1 Disagree0

Forssell not given a chance yet, mccarthy too expensive perm

Agree3 Disagree0

We should not sell forsell he has hardly had a game as billy pantner had loads of games for us last season and was rubbish and he want sold

Agree2 Disagree0

We dont try 100mph football we try knock it 80 yards up front football

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Dec 2011 11:35:23
Why do ppl keep bringing up ex players names up saying they will come to the club at January, do u realise there are thousands of other professionals out there? I can't remember 1 rumour about keogh, Pugh, forssell, o'dea etc until play signed or played in pre season/ reserve games, so don't expect the targets you mention coz your going to be surprised,

Believable5 Unbelievable0

28 Dec 2011 10:23:19
Grayson to be sacked if we lose on Saturday with Di Matteo, Zola and MArk Hughes on short list to replace him.

Hope it isn't true personally as would give SG until end of season and see where we end up but Bates wants to go up this year and will take action if we lose again Saturday

Believable6 Unbelievable4

Bates is only saying he wants us up this season to get the fans off his back and to get us season ticket holders to renew by giving us false hope. He is just a bag of wind!

For crying out loud get behind the club and the manager. Sacking Grayson now would be scandalous.

It looks as though even the majority of Leeds fans now live in the Sky TV age of ridiculous impatience and demands for instant success. What's wrong with keeping faith with a guy who has done wonders for our club?

Believable14 Unbelievable6

Done what wonders. We've a worse team now then when he took over. Better off with wise in charge

Agree6 Disagree11

If were a worse team and he's done no wonders then how come we are in the championship then.please explain.

Agree6 Disagree3

I actually agree that our league 1 team was far better than what we have now, ankergern, Hughes, douglas, marques, michalik, naylor, Crowe, snoddy, prutton, Kilkenny, Johnson, Delph, Doyle, Robinson, beckford, beccihio, grella, kandol, Might be just me but I reckon that's a better squad of players we had in a lower division

Agree9 Disagree3

I cant believe the above said we were better with Wise! Ive supported Leeds all my life and I am proud to have, but small sections of so called fan like you are pathetic!

Keep the faith (even the dillusional ones!)

MOT

Agree4 Disagree7

Definitely in a far worse state now then when gayson took over

Agree3 Disagree2

We're a division higher and nearly reached the play offs for the premiership last year. How can that be worse than being in League 1? Can't say I'm happy with the last three games but we're in a much better position than we were three years ago - that's a ridiculous thing to say. Problem with people on here is they think we have a right to premiership football and that it should be easy to get there. It isn't. The team needs supporters not whingers. {Ed025's Note - good post mate..

Agree1 Disagree2

Whoever said wise in charge is an absolute person to say the least, how can we be worse off when we are in a higher division under Grayson, IDIOT!

Agree1 Disagree1

The wise comment was these to highlight my lack of faith in grayson. The bloke is not fit to manage Leeds-ps idiot? Because my opinion differs to you does not make me an idiot. We need a proper manager in now so bates cannot use his current divide and conquer strategy

Agree0 Disagree0

Bates owns the club, or haven't you heard. It really does;t matter who the manager is, he'll use whatever strategy he likes. If the manager doesn't fit in then he'll be sacked no matter how 'proper' the manager is.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Dec 2011 08:42:32
I believe its time for SG to go n appoint a new manager.
But I also believe we need patience, because a new manager will take time to sort things out.
Tony mowbray is in my opinion the best manager at championship level, it took him a season to sort middlesboro out but look at them now..
Wish we cud get hum, but no chance.
Wat I'm saying is a new boss will need time. {Ed025's Note - the one you have needs time, and money....

Believable5 Unbelievable5

Asking for patience is a bit rich when you want rid of a manager who has consistently kept our club in the upper reaches of whichever league we have been in! Patience is exactly what Simon Grayson needs and deserves from the fans.

Agree12 Disagree6

Ed 25 what do you know? The person we've got has had 3 years and refuses to spend money. Grayson out {Ed001's Note - what money has he had to spend? Refuses to spend? Give it a rest. Bates has control over the money, I am sure Grayson would love to go out and spend millions on players if he was allowed to.}

Agree4 Disagree5

How do you know that Bates hasn't made money available - pure speculation on your part Ed!! {Ed001's Note - so you think Grayson just doesn't want to spend money then? You think there is money available and he is choosing to just leave it there? Get real.}

Agree3 Disagree3

Speculation!!

Agree2 Disagree0

Post 2.. fans have been patient with SG, but have lost patience with his clueless team selection, eg lees back to rb was ridiculous.. his hopeless scouting n signings n faith in crap.. blackpool got rid of him n then reached pl! Cos he's league 1 manager lad..

Agree2 Disagree1

There's no need to speculate - just look at the published accounts. We need to sell players each season to survive, otherwise we'd be making a loss. Banks won't lend to fund player purchases - hardly surprising in the current climate. It doesn't matter what either Bates or Grayson says in public, the money just isn't there.

It doesn't help that the games are now quite badly attended - where have the 16,000 'glory supporters' gone who were there every week in the Premiership but can't be bothered now. I know times are hard, very hard for some, but a season ticket on the interest free offer costs less than a night at the pub each week...

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Dec 2011 04:29:54
The guy(SG) is tactically inept. Whilst there are no certainties in a change of manager/more money Etc there comes a time to draw a line in the sand and I feel that this is it! The team/club lacks quality, confidence, tactics, a goal scorer, consistancy, direction, a midfielder or 2, a defender or 2, a reasonable home record, a support with any belief anymore, players who give 100 percent, too many players who hide(despite not being paid the best of wages I find this offensive). I could go on and one day might find a positive in a league that is frankly very poor and there for the taking with a team only slightly above average.
I don't blame SG alone but his number is up(so is KB but I can retain some level of reality-he is going nowhere!!).
Unless something changes and quickly I can look forward to another substandard 2012 where my club marches on and on - backwards!!
I've missed 2 games this year and can safely say that my future investment in the club is beginning to wane - If the chairman/players/manager don't appear to give there best why should I?? {Ed025's Note - why should i?...grow up mate...you sound like a spoilt child!

Believable10 Unbelievable7

So, who do you put forward as a viable alternative then? I'm guessing you haven't a clue!
Ed025 - you talk more sense on here than any of our so-called "fans".

Billy Davies would be my choice!

It's called being passionate about ur club not childish and like you and your sucking up responder why can't it be accepted that as a passionate fan I will occcassionally spill/spell out my feelings without being bad mannered about others opinions(until now!).

3. Cope with pressure from Bates if a few things go wrong.
