Great write ups about Leeds in all newspapers over the weekend and it's great to see as there are not many weekends where I wanted to buy a newspaper last season! But for me the best write up has to be this one: They were not The Damned United they were The Damned good United and soon everyone who didn't know TC before will soon know him when he's managing Leeds United in The Premiership! Bloody marvellous MOTTC

Yet the media laughed at us when we appointed him and no one tipped us for top 6. Bookies still rate the likes of Norwich, Sunderland and Derby above us.

No one knew T C and all the talk about players being this and that we have heard before . Watching the games the commenters are loving are players and the style of our play . My only worry is that certain teams will look stop certain players and I can see a few strong tackles going in on certain players .

Definitely. The likes of Sheff Utd, Cardiff and Ipswich will kick Alioski and Saiz for 90 mins.

Does anyone else see that there are similarities between us and Bournemouth when they went up. Both not fancied, two young hungry managers with a point to prove, some money to spend (but not the biggest budget) , young players, really exciting attacking football. Perhaps it's just me

Bournemouth were actually fancied if i remember correctly. they spent quite a few bob.

Pawel Cibicki - year by year compilation of all his goals and assists.

Some reports suggest we don't have a contract tables nor do we have a bid in for him either. Slightly annoying.

Hi all. I was sat in me local t'other evening, all aponder. Two of the vomits who go in regularly were, as they do, wittering on about how great and Champions in waiting they are now that Mourinhio is manager. I bit me tongue for some time, but I had had a few cheeky ones and was beginning to feel mildly inebriate, when something they said triggered my voicebox and despite not being a gambling man, I offered them a bet. I said that Leeds would finish no more than 5 places below the vomits next season, at which point I was mocked. One of them actually advised me, snearingly, that it wasn't possible, as Leeds were in the wrong division. Sharp as a button that lad. Anyhow, when we overcame the communication problems, I asked what odds they would give me and they said 100 to 1. I asked if they would shake on £10 at that. and they did. If I lose, I have lost a tenner over two seasons. If I win, I get £1k and better still, it is £1k off a pair of vomits. I could not believe that anyone would be so daft as to take that bet. but then I remembered that at the end of the day they are vomit fans. I think that my behaviour probably provides indication of the effect that our recent performances have had on my objectivity regarding our prospects. In the cold sobriety of day, I still fancy me chances.

When £8m can't even get you an average player like Jordan Hugill, is it any wonder we're shopping abroad?

Crazy ain't it. And you got players not good enough in premiership sat on their asses because they will not take a pay cut to move on and play football. Sign of the times all about money.

What about Shane long? . or would he cost too much

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2017 16:32:07
SG it's sort of why I made my comment on rumours, as much I would love a known striker up front whether it's Hug/Gest the cost will be about 8 mil. Looking at Saiz and Alli these are bargains and it can be done Brentford have a decent history of finding really good foreign or lower league players . Shane Long would be a good call I have to agree Leeeeeeeeeds

So this new Swedish lad, does he know Pontus, is he part of the reason he's coming?

Watched some of his videos and he is pacy and moves around front line well. Good feet and will fit in with what we have got and the way we are playing. Can not see him being prolific but can see him in double figures. Can play either wing as well so good buy if we get him i reckon.

Don't understand why we're still talking about Chris wood, he's gone. I'd like to say thanks to rob green, and welcome back to lonergan.

Well said Curahee, yes Wood has gone and well done yesterday, it looks like he has got his dream move while it's turned out well for Leeds also, we look more dimensional and a very different team in a good way without him, so everybody's happy. But as I'm happy I am also very annoyed at how he left, just for the record it's not sour grapes it's true, he left Leeds before he had agreed a deal with Burnley so for me he let us down, that Saturday evening we were paying his wages not Burnley and also not one word of gratitude to Leeds or the supporters from him, so while I think him going suits both sides, I'm annoyat how he did it. End of for me. Like Curahee says he's gone time to move onwards and upwards! . MOT

Yes i was a bit disappointed there was no gratitude for us kick starting his career. Not sad to lose him though never his biggest fan.

We paid him to score goals, and he did that, not every striker does, good luck to him, hope he does well in prem. players/managers move on, fans don't. that's just football.

We paid him to score goals against Sunderland but he can't do that if he won't play can he! You can't sugar coat it he let the club down, the same club that took him on when others wouldn't! MOT

In reply to my earlier post as follows, thank you for the replies . A winger and a striker is what I thought we needed . Might be Cibiki and Lassogo if latest info doing the rounds this morning is to be believed . Then strengthen for any injuries in January

Believable1 Unbelievable0

28 Aug 2017 12:29:29
Not lassogo for me, don't recon his hearts in it tbh as we had him over here 2 weeks ago etc etc, if he is in any doubt or needs convincing then he ain't for us! Totally agree with some of the above comments though that fees for below average players is insane!

28 Aug 2017 12:48:02
Dleedsm, think it might be more to do with contributions by us to his wages and his club waiting to see if anybody else was willing to buy him or pay more to his wages . The fact that he came over demonstrates he is keen to come here . Just the clubs wrangling over money
