untouchables! I also had faith in a leeds win! unlike yourself I don't think we are poor at all and will always be proud of the boys no matter what form they are in, that's what makes me a true genuine supporter of our great proud club for the last 42 years.
what makes me laugh are your posts, not your guess work predictions.
You say you are a leeds fan but your posts suggest otherwise. everyone is entitled to an opinion but I'm afraid yours just make me laugh with your contradictory support.
but hey i'm only telling you as I see it and it is just MY opinion ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
awesome win boys MOT

I for one would like to thank Mr Cellino for what he has done since the close of last season. Like most I started to has serious doubts after last season but none of us know what mess he had to clean up and how much of his own cash he had to spend.

This season he has brought in an excellent back room staff, a great coach and taken a back step.

He has also invested sums in transfers which we haven't seen since the premier league.

He has absolutely done the right thing with the idiot from Watford by walking away.

He has to my mind been the best thing that's happened to our club in ten years.

Anyway. Rant over. Thank you Mr Cellinio!

I find it hard to actually disagree with any of that, If only he did all of this last year can you imagine the praise he would be getting now instead of the bad press he's received from a lot of fans, arguably justified up to a point! Still credit where credit is due! keep it up Mass'!

I do think last year he either had bad advice or just didn't plain listen to what his people said about owning an English club. Some of the players he brought in simply didn't work out. I do like what he said yesterday about a transfer Fee not being an issue and if a player wanted to play for Leeds and he gave his all for Leeds, then he would be rewarded. This cuts out the over priced Prem league has beens and gets players who are going to be proud to pull on the white shirt. It's a bit of a catch 22 though as we know nowadays money does the talking and some players / agents just want the best possible deal guaranteed (who can blame them really). Still those who do come and fight for Leeds us fans know they will be doing this for LEEDS!!

sorry eds love this site and your work but I have to moan. why is the arsenal kit on sale now an advert on our page. sort it out, I bloodly hate arsenal nearly as much as I love leeds. it annoyed me so much I had to punch one of my daugthers teddys. Sadly it was one that my wife was holing at the time. I now have a bloody nose as she hit me back harder

{Ed013's Note - The adverts are out of our control and pop up within your search engine boundaries. Keep off the Arsenal website Mr Bermondsey ;-) could be worst (or better) a pop up dating add could show up just as your missus walks past}

28 Aug 2015 20:51:21
really that makes sense, I been on arsenal site seeing any news on Sanchez as he is in my dream team. No Idea why the date Asian ladys, lose weight fast, and viagra adverts keep popping up though.oh wait

Must say I agree with Cellino's statement about Forestieri, if a player has to be cajoled and convinced to come to Leeds we do not want him. MC is right in insisting that players have the right mentality and want to play for our great club.

Lets get Limbombe in and get 3 points at Derby tomorrow.

I have to say that I admire/agree with MC in terms of pulling out of the Forestieri thing, he is a decent player but if he doesn't really want to come then it is prob not going to work in the long term.

If they did pull out of the deal on Tuesday then that shows clear thinking on our transfer strategy and gives us enough time to get others in (that dutch winger/forward seems idea for us as scores loads and provides assists with pace).

When was the last time we had clear thinking or a strategy in terms of bring people in? (and I don't mean just a strategy of bringing in free transfers- that ain't a strategy) I think its a good sign for the club, even if we lose tomorrow we seem to be on the right track, it is a long season (mind you a win sooner rather than later would be good, hard to see that at Derby were we have got nothing since, I dunno the war of the roses?).

The fact that the official site told us first is a rare event as well long may that happen.

agree with everything here, last time we seemed to have a strategy in terms of buying players was under wilko just before he got sacked (he brought in Martyn, radebe, boywer plus few others that future managers got the benifit of) Gary Mac and grayson also brought in good players but it was more buying because needed rather than long term strategy.

Also I looked it up last time we beat derby was the saturday before magna carter was signed so think we will get beat tomorrow but still on right track and looking forward.

On a seperate note, I got a casting for a yorkshire rugby player on wednesday and the script says mate but I am pretty sure mate is a london word and men from yorkshire are more likely to say pal. this is only from my northern family (through my step dad) and time spent in leeds (football) and Blackpool (2nd best city in the world. no universe) so wondered if this is accurate or just my family as don't want to mug myself on wednesday?

In true Yorkshire, they'd probably say 'love' 😃

29 Aug 2015 13:07:29
never knew that about mate, very interesting although my granddad (a notrious criminal) said aussie were just the cockney wrong uns who got caught so slightly claiming mate as a london word from our tanned cousin from down under.

Thanks Speedy though in this audition I have to play a rugby player, tackle a bloke chuck his phone away so not sure calling him love would work. Might give it a go though

Odds on the draw circa 11/8.

Worth a punt.

Although at 4/1 ill be going for the win

i'd take a draw and think most teams in our league would. Sadly I think we are going to lose 3-1 but hope I am wrong and even if we lose 7-0 I will still think we are going in right direction (although there will be lots of swearing and throwing of things in the Head household if this is the case)

been having a look at limbombe, he looks very exciting from the clips I have seen of him and his stats are good too, reminds me of a young Gradel very quick skillful with some trickery. have a look guys and let us know what you think. he can play left or right and most importantly he wants to come and play for US.MOT for sat people and 3 points will do nicely

Believable0 Unbelievable0

28 Aug 2015 16:50:26
His stats last season look really good as do some of the videos (But I tend not to trust highlight videos). I have a couple of little worries though, mainly that he has only had one good season and that was in the Dutch second division. Had he scored 14 in their top flight I would be excited. When he played for Genk, in a more competitive league, he only managed 2 goals in 62 games.
He is still young, and last year might just represent natural improvement but £2m or more is a huge risk. Albert Adomah has asked to leave Boro, would probably be similar money and is already proven, maybe a better bet?

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Aug 2015 22:42:11
good shout Gummie you might have a point there, adomah would be a good signing for us and i'd be happy if we could get him, I think a strong commanding CB and maybe an experienced playmaker and we are done any ideas for an experienced playmaker?

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Aug 2015 01:08:21
Looks like Rosler wants Liam Moore as the CB, Good signing, especially if we get him on loan to buy. As for experienced playmaker I think Nolan is a no brainer since his West Ham release. Would have liked Barton but he's obviously not an option now. Other than that not sure what we have to spend and who would join, etc. Maybe worth going back to Watford and see if they would sell us Vydra for that £3m. Can play up front or as an attacking mid and certainly knows where the net is. Him sat just behind Wood, Antenucci and Dallas could be deadly.

Where's the newbees innit bout time we got sum?
Stuff the Italian geezer. Holding out for best deal. No passion there lads. Nec bloke who got dropped cause he was excited about poss playing for us. He's the man!
Cmon uwe. It's time innit?

I think MC is saving acouple of signings for deadline day. To keep in the spirrit of things of course.

Looks like we after the dutch chap from wolves. Will have as an option if the £500k quoted is realistic. Still think we are a left back short though. and we could bring in cover where needed when the "emergency" loan window opens.

Getting excited about this weeks game, although will only be able to watch on TV. I think Derby away will be a stern test for our new regime and style of play. IMHO if we can remain unbeaten then that is positive, although I would like the 3 points before we get too far away from the top of the table.

Lets hope for a good performance and hopefully 3 points.

MOT and Happy Friday

Time running out again, would pay the fee for Limbombe, if Forestieri was worth 3 he is worth it, Get Moore in think him and Cooper will be a good pairing for the future. Snap Nolan up quick, he kept West Ham up three years running last year average. He will give us that edge in midfield as well as being a mentor for the young lads. Look into the Ashley Cole situation as he would be excellent as player and defensive coach, Taylor could be world class with help from someone like him. By the way think we got a striker coming through the academy at last. Young lad called Wilks looks really promising, let's hope he can keep focused.

Not sure about cole
Good player but. Attitude?

28 Aug 2015 11:47:13
Bige - you don't want much do you mate! I agree re Forestieri, forget him and get Limbombe and with Moore would be happy with that as that wouldbe 9 players signed so credit to MC where due.

Hard game tomorrow, any result there would be good as not a happy hunting ground and they are bound to be in top 3-4 this year.

I'm going for 1-1 but that is more with heart, head says a 1-0 loss

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2015 15:47:50
Lol you right dg expect a lot but if I get half am happy. With players like Cole, and Nolan, would maybe worth a shot if offered more than just playing post, ie coaching and support to get coaching badges etc. They must both be looking to future jobs now.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2015 20:11:50
nolan yes as think he will be handful at this level even if he can't play game in game out. no to cole and here is why for me. great player world class in day and can still do good job at our level but if we get him he would want (and rightly so) to be first choice and that mean taylor won't get game time and i'd rather see our young and talented fella play. other areas need improving more than left back imo
