Ive been to every home game this season and the only thing that was disappointing yesterday was the size of the crowd. All season all I've heard is i'm not going until. this until that you know what I felt like we let the team down yesterday by not showing up, for God sake it was the last game of the season, how can we call ourselves the best fans in the land and not show up to out last game?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Do you know what you are f***in right. Big club my arse! Crowds are a disgrace for what some people call a big club. And if some geezer says its because of Bates i'll go mental. I've been to 12 games home and away this season cause I live in Cork. Travelling is tough. But think about it. 24 teams in championship and we. Leeds are just about in top 10 of crowds! Next geezer says we are a big club I will go nuts. what d f**k. Always thought Newcastle just like us back in the day. But look at them now they get a serious crowd and we get s**** crowds. 50 thousand against 18 thousand at best. Big club my arse. Geordies get 3 times better crowds than us and its a fact. The rest a joke. So sad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Next season will show if all the anti Bates fans are all talk. 1 prices lowered 2 Bates gone 3 new fresh manager and 4 no excuse to stay away

Agree0 Disagree0

We are a big club it's all Bates' fault

Agree0 Disagree0

If you don't like it take your moaning and go elsewhere. Stop crying and support your team not the crowd, we are not a big club anymore so deal with it, man up babies.

Agree0 Disagree0

Comparing Leeds to Newcastle at this moment in time is pointless. We have been in the footballing wilderness for the better part of a decade. Although Bates was a route cause, in all honesty the football on offer this season in particular has been appalling. It's a game of entertainment at the end of the day, and I say this as a season ticket holder. Fact is, if Leeds are in the Premier League, playing Liverpool like Newcastle did this weekend then Elland Road is full. We as fans have done our part for years, we now need to see that reflected by the ambition of the club and owners.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree brighton had an average attendence higher than us this season, as for norwich (the tin pot club people refer to them as) have a 3year waitin list for season tickets :/ we are a big club in terms of history but in terms of fans and players on our books WE R JUST AN AVERAGE CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM

Agree0 Disagree0

^^ we're a big club and its all because of Bates

Agree0 Disagree0

We are and always will be a big club

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully if we were playing Liverpool we wouldn't get tonked 6-0 like Newcastle did.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Next season will show if all the anti Bates fans are all talk. 1 prices lowered 2 Bates gone 3 new fresh manager and 4 no excuse to stay away"

I might have missed something here but I thought Bates is now President for another 3 years at least?

How does that equate with 'Bates is gone' then?

What on earth has Bates done to earn that position - other than sold most of our better players and cost us a lot of money in paying off his lawsuits?

So QPR down, Reading Down, potentially Wigan.

Forest, Leicester and co still here

Will we ever get back up?

No way will we finish above these lot, not a chance

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Gzzzz just so negative before we even kick a ball next season. Suggest you call the samaritans pal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Teams relagated from the PL look hard to compete with "by name" and with current squad, but look to history - they very seldom adapt to the championship over summer, and will not be our hardest opponents! Wolves relegated this year, Blackburn almost relegated!

Agree0 Disagree0

Could have said the same about Blackburn, Wolves and Bolton at the start of last season, none of which have reached the heights they would've expected. QPR have next to no chance of going straight back up. Look at the wage bill they're going to have to shake off, that'll be their entire transfer kitty. Wigan are bound to lose their top players (Kone, Maloney etc) and potentially their manager, so won't be the same team as they are this year.

Wish people would look forward to the future rather than making negative predictions about things they know very little about.

Agree0 Disagree0

Remember when we come down and everyone though we would bounce back as we were a big name, far bigger than any of the teams mentioned in this thread!
I'll tell you why Leeds WILL finish above those teams, Brian McDermott! A man with Hunger that wants to stick it up his previous team and prove them wrong!

When is the transfer window opens please anyone?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31st july

Agree0 Disagree0

July 1st I think

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd like to see Bellamy at leeds as he may not be in Cardiffs plans seeing as the amount of money they have to spend as their main objective is to finish above Swansea. He has been their best player this season, he's determined, driven, fast despite his age and strong which is what we need

Can't argue with that, add Le fondre, Whittingham and possibly Dunne and the right blend of youth and experience will be there.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm very optimistic about next season but I'd lose a few of those on your retention list to be honest.

Kenny's a decent shot stopper but he's spent so long with Warnock his distribution is more than a tad 'hoof-dimensional'.

I'm not convinced about Austin. One great performance isn't enough for me. I know he's played a lot of games so I'd like to see what he can do with a decent rest before writing him off. Very suspect passing in almost every other game though.

I think we need better than Tonge, Varney & Morison. They're all decent squad players but not good enough for the first team if we want to finish in the top two.

White & Poleon both have pace but I'm not sure there's enough other stuff in either player's locker if we want to be looking down the table rather than up it.

Personally I think we're 6 or 7 good players short, not the 2 or 3 most people are saying. I do believe though, that McDermott is the man to do it though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't help but agree with the list, but also the comment from the guy above in regards to the problems with some of those retained. Personally all those mentioned I'd still keep as they may make good squad players or after rest like Austin for example may become good additions.

Somma is the only other I would keep, however we all know he is injury riddled and I do feel for the guy. He seems very genuine and we all also know he's a great finisher. If he can get his fitness back I'd be happy to see Leeds retain him on a Pay per play basis and if he comes good then offer him a new deal after.

Looks like Brian will need a brand new team next season, we have strikers who rarely score

Believable0 Unbelievable0

A new front line, a winger and a couple more here and there in midfield and the back row and we'll be fine

Does anybody know what exactly diouf did to get sent off? I know it was a gesture but couldn't see from where I sat. I did see him however grab his genitals aimed at the brighton fans which was not what u wanna see.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Dont really see what was so bad about Dioufs little gesture. Zaha did more or less the same thing and only received a 1 match ban yet Diouf is given 3?! let's not forget that if Ballotelli did it we would see ballotelliLAD all over the net and he would be a cult hero and ''legend'' but when Diouf does it he's a ''disgrace to the game'' and ''should be sacked'. It appears Diouf is the Suarez of the Championship - amazing on the pitch yet his past is always with him and people always see the worst in him and officials go that extra mile to punish him. Anyway Brian seems to really like Diouf so I can see him been the centre piece of our squad next season possibly building the squad around him.

Interesting thoughts on the game yesterday with one fan saying we were rubbish and another saying we were the better team and played really well.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Was at game yesterday I don't know what match they was watching when they say we were rubbish we played well with a man down closed them down really well, fought for balls, gave it all they had you wouldn't have got that if warnock was in charge still we would have been done over probably 4or 5 nil.

Agree0 Disagree0

I was at game yesterday and we played well, especially when down to ten men, playing against one of the championship better teams and a ref who must have travelled to the game on the Brighton bus or had a few bob on them with the bookies

Warnock says on the fl show "gfh capital will invest in 2 or 3 quality players.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Investing in 3 quality players is enough given that we could get Humphrey, Pearce, Hunt, Burke etc on frees, they only require investment in wages and with quite a bit of dead wood leaving or having been released this season there will be some spare wages hanging about.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah thanks for that colin

The way I see things for Leeds United now is a new start, a new era, and I can't see any reason for further negativity. This is the first time in years I feel optimistic for our progressing, I like BMcD, he's not a rubbishter, talks sense, seems to be clear in what needs to happen. Like he says time think forward and move on from what has gone before, we are Leeds United. We as fans need to play our part and put our huffing, moaning, and whingeing behind us because we can't change the past. Time to move forward as one united, get behind the team, manager and the club.
