Would we swap Dallas for Oliveira? my opinion would be no, offer Dallas a new contract and sign Oliveira as well.

Whitey. He's only played 1 game for them. Give him a dozen for him to settle then tell us what the NF fans think of him. I liked the bird especially when he was with us on loan in big steve's days. Last half a season he was injured, thrown back in when not fully fit and not played in a system that suited him.

{Ed001's Note - it was a good finish actually mate. I thought you would all be pleased for him with him being a former Leeds player..... ;-)

27 Aug 2017 18:08:11
I'm pleased for him Ed ! He was a great scorer of goals for us in his time, and his move has provided us with significant funds AND allowed the Team to play in this exciting attacking style where we now have multiple threats all over the park 👍😊😊 No, well done Woody, thanks for the memories, oh and the dosh!

I havnt always agreed with ed001 but i can see where he's coming from on this one. I hold nothing against Chris Wood or any ex Leeds player as long as they tried their best whilst playing for LUFC. I wish the boy all the best. All those slagging him, well its just sour grapes. Wood in his short period at Leeds was a proper player and professional and i was delighted today when he scored a nice debut goal. let's just hope he's playing at ER again next season, with Burnley fighting and Leeds pushing for Europa League!

Agree6 Disagree0

27 Aug 2017 20:08:11
Wasn't slagging him off. Just chuckling to myself. I'm sure Burnley fans are now raving about him. Personally I wish him well but am pleased he's moved on and taken his 50p head with him

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Aug 2017 23:59:01
Ywhy be pleased for him? Not pleased for any player who chooses another club over LUFC. Heard all the reasons, money, PL etc. so what? If it wasn't for Leeds he would be a forgotten striker. Leeds actually took a gamble paying 2 million. I support anyone who wears the shirt and gives his all, but when they demand to leave then good riddens. The guy didn't even mention Leeds when he got his dream move, (wage) , when he joined them. He won't cut in in the PL, christopher wreh started well for Arsenal.

Window closes this week . Two Questions for everyone:
1. What does everyone think is needed?

2. What does everyone think we will get?

NEED - nothing. want - maybe another CB and, hopefully not, but in Jan a top top quality proven goalkeeper

28 Aug 2017 02:22:19
A winger and a centre forward for me. It's a squad thing at the end of the day. No 11 players will win this league as it's a long hard slog. If we were to say get injuries or suspensions for say Roofe, Hernandez and Grot all at the same time we need cover and cover for the players coming in on the subs bench too. Plus I like competition for places!

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2017 04:44:11
Good questions PA. Here are my answers. 1. Jota and Gestede 2. Gestede Nothing defensively is needed. Penny and Army Knife back in training. I like look of Shauny. Midfield don't think Sacko will amount to much and Pablo is showing signs of wear and tear. Jota would do nicely. Target man Gestede to teach Grot and competition for places. These extra signings and the league is ours.

Something else I have noticed that I really like is TC celebrating when we score and he does proper celebrate, it's great to see that Leeds United means something to him instead of just being a wallet filler. I used to wonder with Monk as he was quite animated on the touch line, I'm not saying he didn't look pleased but he didn't celebrate like TC did, also it was great to see Radz and team there yesterday, he looks like a cool Mafia dude! That's the problem LIG. The attitude of players. Wasn't so long ago that being number 9 at leeds was a lot better than being anything at Burnley. To answer the question, if I was a footballer I would want to play football as regular as possible. Money is everything to most players it's sad really.

Open letter to Mr Radrizzani. As a "media man" please have a word with the content man at the official website. This is an ongoing problem and it is still happening. Why can't you keep the squad details up to date. At present you have 4 players with no photo who have all been here a few weeks and also what does it take to "delete" an entry? Liam Bridcutt is no longer on the payroll. Get rid. Mr Radrizzani I know this is not your fault that this happens as it has happened through previous regimes but please clean it up.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Is anyone questioning the need to spend 4-6 mill on a new striker who, after all, will be a gamble when we have, at least, 3 already. Roofe contributing and scoring. With Grot showing signs of class and, to come back in, Ekuban who did not disgrace himself, when on show. After all, the more you have, the more you have to keep happy. 4 into 1 won't go.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Aug 2017 18:54:15
It's a tricky balance. You need sufficient for cover and to provide depth so the players don't burn out over a long season but not so many that they get rusty or disgruntled sitting on the bench,

Agree0 Disagree0

At half-time yesterday Forest manager realized Traore versus Alioski was so one-sided he handed the full-back his mobile phone. Traore asked what do I need that for? Warburton replied to call travel agents right now! Traore confused asked why he needed to do such a thing? Warburton explained he had to catch up with the Leeds winger somehow.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

27 Aug 2017 14:41:45
Leeds still behind, Wolves, Cardiff, Middlesbrough and Fulham for outright winners at 12/1 and to get promoted, again we are behind all of the above plus Derby and we are 9/2! Get your money on Leeds! Oh and Leedstoryscum, a little message for you, you are NOT PETTY at all as I for one am loving the fact that he left for Middlesbrough because if he hadn't gone there we wouldn't know any different and we would be watching the same no plan B football! He made leaving seem it was all Radz fault, maybe now we know why Radz wasn't as accommodating! It's like when an old girlfriend dumps you for another bloke, you always keep an eye out hoping she's picked a bad one and he does nothing for her and she isn't happy! But in this case just to reiterate we won't be getting back with Monk! But just so you know mate your not the only one! MOT

Agree2 Disagree0

27 Aug 2017 15:43:50
I'm 100M% in agreement with you on that one SG, Cardiff won't stay the course, Ipswich is a few game wonder, Wolves are good but a couple of injuries and they will struggle, I can't see Derby, Forest or Norwich getting into the top six, Fulham and Reading just getting going, Sheff Wed, Sunderland, Aston Villa and Hull still to find any sort of momentum and Middlesbrough, well with Monks contribution who knows, relagated would suit me! So not many if any better than Leeds at the moment! MOT

Really enjoyed watching the match yesterday very similar to Sunderland only slightly better passing wise, A delight to watch the confident accurate nice neat quick one touch passing in triangles (like watching Barcelona a few years back😆) that created openings to set our quick creative players off down the wings, once again rock solid at the back it looks like a brick wall and the fact that Felix is mostly polishing his fingernails during the game tells it's own story, may have to give him a fifa PlayStation to keep him occupied during the game! Seriously though it is a joy to watch at the moment long may it continue, my only little bit of constructive criticism would be the lads need to shoot more when inside or around their box, instead of trying to walk the ball in, as we would be out of sight during games, but only a small detail. Looking forward to seeing the lads at ER in 2 weeks for Burton, peace and happy Sunday brothers MOT regards DJ 😎

Believable3 Unbelievable0

27 Aug 2017 13:11:17
Have to say Felix looks more settled and are defence did very well . We play so different from last year there's a real desire to get the ball moving up-field quicker . We always looked a threat and which Saiz, Roofe, Alli and PH goals looked on the cards . P H looked a bit off and I would have subbed him a bit sooner for Dallas . Traore from Forest spent a lot of the game with Alli on him but his physical statue was just to much at times . Enters new boy Grot who is massive first tackle on Traore and he flattens him, also good feet for such a big lad .

Yesterday's performance was superb and we are playing superb closing down flowing passing football which is a joy to watch and it's so good to wake up the morning after a game and look forward to the getting the papers where you get another big write up for the right reasons, what a good feeling anybody agree? Here's a question for you all, looking at players from last season who apart from Wood, Taylor and Pontus could you see developing into a 10/20 million pound player? Then take a look at our players now even those on the bench and ask the same question! Alioski, Taylor, Saiz, Phillips, Grot, Ayling, Beradi, and Roofe for me and Shaunassy in a few more years, also TC would command a good fee for his services as well. Things have changed so much and it goes to show when players like Dallas, Taylor, Roofe and Philips are thriving Happy days! MOT

Believable1 Unbelievable0

27 Aug 2017 11:49:18
Couldn't agree more Mike. TC is obviously a coach, who assesses payers strengths and natural capabilities, and allows them to use them, rather than making them play a style that is alien to their instinct. Kal is a prime example of this, and if Roofe continues to play like this, then we are onto a real winner! On and on!

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Aug 2017 12:24:38
You are spot on about TC Brightwhite and it shows how different he is to Monk, players respond more when they are allowed to play freely in their natural positions, there was many times last season when players really didn't look happy but everyone including the supporters are loving what's happening. They do say freedom in play works and it shows. Usually us as Leeds supporters are used to not looking ahead or chasing a dream that doesn't last long but on these showings I am looking forward to great times mate! MOT

Yesterday Traore was trying to mix it up and bully some of the Leeds players, Alioski especially, When the Grot came on he gave Traore a little nudge and sent him flying . Traore had to buy a ticket to get back into the ground . Don't think there will be too many looking to mix it with the Grot! Philips and Shaughnessy in mid field, Grot up front will give some protection for our more creative players against some of the tougher more physical teams, especially away from home

I think the sale of Wood might turn out to be a great bit of business. TC handled it very professionally, we made it clear we didn't want to sell but we adapted immediately to the departure and have probably produced our best performances this year without him. We became too Wood dependent, now we have 5/6 players on the pitch who can and have scored. Really interested in who we spend a bit more cash on, because it definately could be the icing on the cake!

Believable3 Unbelievable0

27 Aug 2017 08:40:17
Got to agree with that. Style of play last season relied on end ball going to wood, no runners think that's why a lot of our play was going sideways and back, nothing moving about up front. Now we are a better passing team and playing attacking football which not only suits our players but is what Leeds are about. All looking good.

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Aug 2017 09:32:50
AR stated when he appointed TC (who? ) That he was very impressed with the presentation that he had put on during his interview with his tactical analization of our play last season. The way we have started this season tells us that TC knows what he is talking about. We are loyal fans and we speak bluntly which is our right, we will lose afew this season but play with the passion we are showing and it's going to be one ELL of a season. MOT.

Bang right BIGE. Kal's confidence took a battering last season, in my opinion, because he wasn't allowed to play his natural game, due to the overly defensive of Monks tactics. I expect to see him really step on this season with TC allowing him to play to his strengths.

Popped into B&Q after the game. Whilst browsing got chatting with this friendly saleswoman. I told her I was in an excellent mood because my team had won.
