Reading the masses of Cardiff posts on the main rumours site. A lot of their fans seem to think Whittingham's no longer needed and could be on his way out. What do you reckon? He was all the rage on this site this time last year.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Just registered and want to use the nickname somebody very kindly gave me on this site during a mini-argument. So the above post was by me, Mr Happy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Need me to drive him here?

Agree0 Disagree0

Whiitingham's a very good player and a model professional. Something has clearly gone wrong here and you would do well to step in even though I don't want to see him go.

Redbird

Agree0 Disagree0

He has got norwich written all over him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be very happy to see him in a white (albeit with blue stripe) shirt. Fingers crossed for this one!

Agree0 Disagree0

What do you think though Redbird? Is he done at Cardiff or is this just fans getting ahead of themselves?

Carlton cole- Says he is in the dark over new contract! Would that not be worth a move? Seriously better then Becchio, Would have a ball with leeds with potential pacey wingers feeding from the big target man he is!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would have him 29 years old couple of years left in him prem experience as well could we afford his wages though

too inconsistent and probably past it now.
i think poleon will get a shot up top next season

Agree0 Disagree0

Well if he is in the dark let me enlighten him, your not as good as you think you are the lack of contract shows that.
you can't swan around at west ham (a club I like) thinking your billy big balls and not scoring any goals another morison I fear.

I think Morison is going to shine next year

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Strap a light bulb to him and you might just be right, he is garbage he hasn't played well for 2 years.
Please peeps you are on the web there is no excuse for these ridiculous comments.
Check his stats and tell me how good he is, you will find i'm right.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Check his stats and tell me how good he is"

Morison:
Overall Appearances:418
Goals:187
Goal Ratio: 1 every 2 1/4 games

McCormack:
Overal Appearances: 251
Goals: 76
Goal Ratio: 1 every 3 1/3 games

The stats say Morison is a better striker than McCormack.
So what's your point?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok let's be more realistic and use stats a little closer than 10 years ago.

Lets use 2011/12 forward so last 2 seasons

Morison goals = 15
Mccormack goals = 26

now I never compared him to ross you did I was rating morison on his own low goal rate in recent seasons, you said he scored 14 for norwich in his 1st season when he had score 12 in his career so again this info proves me right. MOT

Just reading the SlySpurts News and I love the line BMcD comes out with.

"Leeds don't have to aspire to anybody because they're Leeds United. We're certainly not looking to aspire to anybody because we don't need to. History suggests we don't need to".

Enough said. Loving the Brian.

Correct we don't care about no one

Agree0 Disagree0

That nearly brought a tear to my eye

chris humphreys who plays for motherwell and jamacia is out of contract at the scottish club and will possibly sign for the whites in the summer + I don't think sam byram will leave because it says on the video on releasing the new kit that 'hopefully this kit will get us up to the premier league'

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Good player, do well for us

Agree0 Disagree0

Good player bad attitude, chucked his international career before it began.
he is another ryan hall, some promise but why should we help him back, as at his best he MIGHT make the line-up but prob not by the time he improves.
A bit harsh I know but I want positive signings warnock realy has affected some of our fans views on what a good player is.

OKAY, you've heard it here first. Becchio is getting loaned back to Leeds next season. Beckford returning on a free. Max Gradal coming back to eng like he promised from money funded from Byram sale. Howson joining on the cheap. Kasper Schmicheal fed up at leicster and wants to return. Ian Harte coming bakc on a free, as is Kilgallon and Frazer Richardson. Also, Alan Smith coming back as a player coach. Heard it here first.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Please forget the past -those players were ok then but I think MCD's record for finding great talent in lower divisions will make them all look very ordinary - look forward and trust, the future looks good

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said adam, let the good times roll, looking forward to a return to lge one

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh mate why not give vinny jones a bell, how about gordon strachan on the cheap I heard he's unhappy managing, cantona, rio, yeboah, olivier dacourt also to join on free's and a cheeky 5 million pound bid for billy's statue to come out of retirement oh and not forgetting seth johnson [he is willing to take a pay cut] you heard it here first! pfft kids ey!

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually made me lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Love all this to happen

Agree0 Disagree0

No just no

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think anybody is realising that this is pure sarcasm

Agree0 Disagree0

Bigger still Frank Strandli says he will accept a transfer from Lidl's on a possible bogoff deal but I can't find out who with, any ideas?

Agree0 Disagree0

Can some people not sense sarcasm?

Agree0 Disagree0

Are some of these responses serious?

Agree0 Disagree0

Sure let's tell Brendan Ormsby and Peter Lorimer to put their pens down and stop writing nonsense in the YEP and get their boots back on too.

Crmd

Agree0 Disagree0

You forgot Rio Ferdinand. Bound to be a slam dunk as a deal. Popular too.

Agree0 Disagree0

Killkenny, huntington, michalik and Ankergren too, don't forget those club legends. :P

Agree0 Disagree0

Molenaar might be fit again, by now. Some of us haven't forgotten The Terminator.
He did a great job, keeping that useless beanpole Weatherall on the bench rather than on the pitch, making me shudder every time he went near the ball. or the opposition. or our own players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Adam Smith, Ben Alnwick, Barry Bannan, Enoch Shownumi, Tresnor Kandol, adam davies. legends

Agree0 Disagree0

Molenar post. that's funny!

It wouldn't surprise me to see Byram go actually. For once we have the upper hand in the deal, and if a 8-10m offer comes in, we have to be realistic.

As long as the cash was re-invested into the team, then I can honestly see us accepting.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Firstly Byram doesn't want to leave, so doesn't matter what's offered, secondly BM wants him to stay, as do haigh and patel, that tells me we don't need to sell to build, so stop stirring.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with the comments why are their people say sell him and get the money we don't need to sell players we need to build a team not wreck a team again. We are now in a good position new manager new owners and we can look forward to this summer a lot better than the last one. Players will want to come to Leeds
Ed why can you agree and disagree on the other page.

Agree0 Disagree0

Problem with selling Byram to fund other transfers is that when a player has a choice of clubs why would he go to a club who have just sold their best player? They wouldn't. You want to play in a team showing ambition not selling their best player. Don't give me the usual spiel about them wanting to come because we're Leeds, it means nothing to most footballers these days.

Just my thoughts on the new Kit. I don't rate it, looks terrible. All White and always should be. Shouldn't have blue stripes shouldn't have yellow stripes, with Round or V neck plain collar, old style. Old white rose badge with Marching on together around the outside of the rose, in place of the shield, and if we could get away with it, no sponsors name on the front (never happen I know). Then experiment with the away and 3rd kit all they like except for black (now a days it seems all premier league away kits are black). Blackburn's away kit last year when they played us looked class, navy blue without the sponsors name.
Same for us only in white.

At the end of the day, they can play in black bin liners for all I care as long as the players play for the shirt, and give us 100%.

MOT

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Are you kidding! I was at the blackburn game, I thought they had come out and forgot to change out of their training tops! For me it looks the real deal when you got sponsers / league badges ect, otherwise you might as well be playing for a pub team, saying that most of them have sponsers! don't get me wrong they shouldn't look taky (liverpool europe kit) but what's wrong with changing it up a bit. If you want to be old a boring there's a retro section in the superstore I beleive!

Agree0 Disagree0

You lot go shopping saturday morning with your girlies? Bugger the kit. Its the football that counts. Clothes are nothing. Its the talent under the bloody things that gets the blood pumping!

Agree0 Disagree0

Worst kit ever.

LR, Northants

Agree0 Disagree0

Ausman talking sense, the kit doesn't matter its the players who are going to wear it.

looks a bit psg/inter away though with that stripe down the front, even ausman must agree it just looks wrong when "spurs and england look more like us these days than we do".

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with LR as does my son and all his mates. It's dire. However as above if we are winning they can play in what they want. JD

Sam Byram an excellent RB at championship level and I would say a good RB at premiership level. What should we do? Cash in or wait? Potentially a great player but who knows what can happen. Young players can go off the boil so quickly you wouldn't believe. I say cash in at a decent level. 6 million.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We have to keep our young players we can not keep been labeled a selling club, keep the young players get some older players in build a team for the prem may be not next season but we do have good young players if we don't have the backing yet financialy we have to keep developing the youth team not selling one of them when a prem club comes knocking they are under contract. We can off load some of the older players and don't forget younger players don't want high wages we have a opportunity to build a team for the prem and any young player would relish the opportunity, also why go to a money club where they will only be a reserve player just my thoughts

and I do like the new shirt

Agree0 Disagree0

Call yourself a Leeds fan, considering Man C were prepared to offer 10 and you'd accept 6, you know nowt, he has to stay as part of a re building of the mighty whites

Agree0 Disagree0

6 million? and we know already man city would pay twice that so where are ya going with your 6M another season or so will be worth twice what man city will pay we shouldn't sell anyway already a future international in my eyes how many better right backs in our league are there! have to keep onto our best players if we wanna c the big time again!
irish leeds fan!
p. s from cork also lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Full-backs, statistically, get more time on the ball than any other player. They also don't tend to go 'off-the-boil' as much as attackers because their creativity is often secondary to their ability to get back and communicate with the rest of the defence and midfield. That's why Aidy White is so hit-and-miss. Can't defend for toffee.
Byram is very different and oozes potential just being realised. Expect interest from a number of the big clubs. Hope he stays but the only person who can decide that is Sam.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why does everyone believe the tabloids? There is no way Man City have offered 12 mill for Byram cause if they did he'd be long gone! 6 - 8 million is a more realistic sum and if we were to get the 8 think of how many good championship players we could bring in. Promotion would be more or less guaranteed under our new shrewd manager. However in saying this I would love it if he stayed and BMD given a few bob to spend!

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't agree about Sam Byram. He is a young excellent defender with attacking capabilities. Not many of such promise around. I would not sell him at this stage at any price. Please keep him BMD

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If we se him now we get £6m or so but if we got promoted next season we wouldn't have to sell him at all!

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, he is just the type of player we must keep, he came through the Academy, is Leeds through and through, and above all he WANTS to wear the shirt and will give 100% effort to the club
